Chapter 3 - To Save A Friend

The white-haired girl stood up while squinting her eyes.

She then groggily looked around for a moment and noticed Carrian.

Her blue eyes were like a deep ocean. They were beautiful, radiant and lovely.

He was lost in her blue, oceanic eyes.

While Carrian was drugged by her beauty, she examined him from head to toe with wide eyes.

Then suddenly she gasped in shock.

"Y-You are a Divine God."

Carian was oblivious to the fact that she had casually said his rank and level. Instead, he was eyeing her body all over with lecherous and loving eyes.

But Gregory was not at all pleased to see her. He snarled in Carrian's mind.

"Hey, Carrian, Carrian. Hey, you fucker wake up."

Carrian snapped back to reality from the screaming voice.

"What?"

"That bitch, knows your rank and level."

Carrian blinked and remembered the words she had uttered a moment ago. He looked at her with a dark gaze.

"How do you know that?"

She stared at him for a moment and spoke with her delicate voice.

"I can see your level and rank because of my skill."

After saying that, she turned around and looked toward the faraway corridor with a tense expression.

Before Carrian could even register her answer, she came to him and took his hand into her own. Then she looked into his eyes with a pleading expression.

"You have to come with me. Please save my friend."

She then pulled him with her as she ran through the corridor. She was pulling from her left hand while holding a wooden staff with her right hand.

Even though the girl was pulling him Carrian's focus was on how smooth her skin felt, how good she smelled, and how beautiful her body was.

His sexual, loving desire for her was so overwhelming that he couldn't control himself from being put into a trance.

"Snap out of it."

Gregory's voice pulled him out from the never-ending abyss.

'Shit, I have to control myself. I can't fall for a girl, A human girl of all people.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Where are we going?"

She turned her head for a brief moment and continued running.

"My friend is on the lowest level. We have to save her. Please help me."

Carrian agreed right on the spot in his heart, but in his mind, he didn't.

'I can't just jump into a fight without knowing anything.'

When he was going to oppose the idea, a terrible headache pierced his mind. It was like his head was getting split open multiple times.

"W-What if I...say No?"

The girl abruptly stopped in her tracks. She slowly turned around.

When he saw her face, it felt like a thousand sharp needles were piercing his heart.

She was crying.

"I beg you, please help her..I-I don't want to use that terrible skill on you"

She then hugged him tightly while sobbing.

"She is the only one I have left...Every one of my friends died in this hellhole. I don't what to if she died as well."

She then looked up at him with her beautiful, teary eyes and said.

"Please help her"

He stared at the girl for a long moment.

"Okay"

***

They were walking through the wide stone corridor with fast steps. Gregory broke his silence after a long time.

"Simp"

Carrian reacted immediately.

'What I can't refuse her. Her skills are the ones making me do this.'

The voice lingered for a moment.

"We should check her skills since we weren't able to before."

Carrian agreed. He wanted to know which skill caused him this much trouble.

Carrian activated the All-seeing eye and stared at the girl.

But he was pulled off his focus by a click sound.

He looked at sara's feat to find her foot pressing on a tile. The tile was sunk into the floor by a few milimeters.

To the bare eyes, there was nothing wrong with the tile but to the all-seeing eyes there were soemthing strange about it.

There was a wire-like object connected to the tile, and it went through the underground until it met the wall. Then it went through the wall upward and ended up in a strange, complex mechanism.

This mechanism also has numerous wires, and these numerous wires went toward numerous covered holes in the wall.

His eyes widened as he saw the arrows in the holes. A strong emotion of protecting Sara came to his mind.

"Arrows, duck"

She didn't duck because she didn't know the meaning of that word, Carrian didn't either, until a few moments ago.

Suddenly, over one hundred arrows shot toward the two with terrifying speed. Their sharp points were ready to make them bleed, but it didn't happen.

"Time stop"

Suddenly, the world froze.

The arrows stopped midair, Sara froze while her head was turning, and even the wind stopped their movement of silence.

The only one who was moving in the frozen world was Carrian and there was a blue panel in the corner of his vision.

[Time Stop = This ability creates a circular barrier where time is frozen. This ability has a range of twenty light years. The host is the only one who isn't affected by this barrier's effect.]

He ignored the small message and looked at the frozen projectiles.

The easiest thing to do here would be to carry Sara out of the arrow's range but another idea popped inside his head with the familiar emotions.

'I could deflect all the frozen arrows from hitting her while staying behind her. It would leave a good impression on her...She might even kiss me.'

"Stop, simping and just do what you have to do."

Gregory's voice echoed like a knife cutting through butter. All the scenarios that was forcefully forming in his head disappeared in an instant.

'Ahh, I can't believe this. I have fallen to this level.'

His gaze darkned.

'To thin I the mighty Carrian would be wishing to getting kissed by a human girl.'

He looked at Sara with malice in his heart but they were wiped out instantly by a powerful force.

He shook his head in embarrassment, and princess carried Sara out of the arrow's range. Her skin felt smooth, and his hand was near her thigh.

Even though sexual desires overwhelmed his mind, he was determined not to change her frozen posture. If he did that, her bones would break.

After putting her down, he deactivated the time stop. The girl turned around as the arrows hit the other wall's holes.

After staring at the spot where they were before, she looked at him with her blue eyes.

"You are fast."
