The clouds rose into the sky resembling the mountain ranges of the Himalayas but even they couldn't block out the light from the tower , the golden light which pierced through the heaven's like the arrows of apollo , Eid made the comparison in his head , the light was mostly used as propaganda by government's "Reach for stars!! Conquer the heavens" was the official motto.
It wasn't needed however , for mundane people it inspired them to strive for excellence in their lives , for ascender's in the tower it motivated them to climb higher and higher in search for artifact's that could change the world and improve the living condition's of their people.
But Eid looked at the tower with bitterness his face turning sour as he gripped something in his breast pocket entering a trance like state all the noise vanishing as a sea of memories started to surface , however like the tales of old this sea was also split.
" Mr Clark! " The shouting and shaking shattered his trance as he turned his head to look at the person disturbing him he saw miss Bennett standing there .
After she gained his attention she withdrew her hand and raised her glasses with a worried look on her face , seeing that worried look on the slightly chubby face would be a treat for anyone , her brown hair and dark green eyes helped with the allure
"Are you sure you can manage?" She said folding her arms causing her green sweater to the bunch up against her round chest.
Eid shrugged "Ive driven a larger bus before and through rougher terrain to boot , in comparison this cramped school bus and highway is of no issue"
"That is not what i meant Mr Clark , you were the one who accompanied the bus driver to the hospital , you haven't rested"
"Im used to staying up for long period's time at a time" Eid focused on the road but there was not much to focus on it was just a highway with a mountain range nearby which looked refreshingly scenic with the setting sun.
Miss Bennet winced with pain as she combed her hair with her fingers , her hair probably ripped , it was dry and brittle due to the effect of chlorine theme parks put into their water , her hair was a mess and Eid was no better , as a matter of fact all the kid's were in the same boat , they would have to wash their hir once they came back to the hotel , Eid sighed he couldn't stay in water park for long because the bus driver apparently got into an accident while on some substance , it was a shame seeing miss bennet all puffed up and wet in that swimsuit she wore was a treat for the eyes.
Eid opened his eyes and stopping his wild imagination.
"What am i twelve?" He scolded himself.
A commotion started in the bus , via the rear veiw mirror he could see what was happening Benson was holding James by the collar of his shirt , Benson was gritting his teeth with his fist raised while James was standing there with a easy going smile on his face goading Benson to try it , the look on Benson's eyes was a Far cry from his usual self his blond hair covered one eyes the other eyes exuded a cold aura.
Benson's girlfriend Katie stepped in holding his arm in a tight grasp as Benson slowly lowered it , Eid raised an eyebrow , Benson was a Rugby player who practised boxing to boot and Katie was 4,9 no matter how strong of a grip she had Benson could shrug it off without much effort so why did he lower his arm?.
Suddenly a memory played in Eid's

"Hey don't you know? a pretty lady's hand is a 100 times stronger than the worlds strongest man" The woman flicked her odd white hair with her hand with a pride filled expression on her face.
"Yes.....a "pretty" woman" Eid said with stayed expression as the woman's face turned to one of shock , she screamed in an annoying voice.
"Ill let you know Eid , i am a stunning and exquisite woman!!!!" She said holding one hand against her chest as he put her foot on the office chair , her lab coat swayed before becoming still.
"Sure you are" Eid said taking out a ciggaret from the lab coat's many many pocket's , he lit it and took in a slow drag before puffing out smoke.
As both stood still the woman smiled "But you know looks not all that contribute to beauty Eid"
Eid chuckled "Are you going to make a speech about seeing what's inside a person ? , Please i heard dozen's of those in high school and most of the girls who said it were the same ones who looked at homeless people with disgust , heh maybe what they meant were the organ's they could sell for money , What are you now going to say next "your beautifull" with a delecate expression? "
The woman stepped forward tapping Eid on the nose "Yes you are beautifull Eid".
Eid paused for a moment before her face became as red as a tomato , before Eid could respond in any manner , she bolted as the ciggarette fell out of Eid's mouth he stood there eyes wide open mouth hanging like an idiot.
"What just happened?" He asked to no one.
"What are you doing?" Eid looked beside him noticing James sitting there his feet were on the seat , he looked at Eid with intrest before smirking.
"Oh ? you scold us for day dreaming in class but you day dream while on the road eh ? how terrible , lord newton "
"I have never raised my voice against anyone , and i have told you not to call me that "
" You don't have to raise your voice in order to scold someone , the way you do it is far more emotionally scarring " James said with an easy going smile , he was infamous in the school for use of illegal substances and bullying , Eid was unfortunatly his homeroom teacher so he bore the brunt of the blame , meanwhile James got of scott free because he was born into a rich family.
Of course he was there are two kinds of scum in this world , either they were raised in the worst possible enviornment or like James they are spoiled until they are rotten beyond repair.
Eid didn't hate James despite the trouble he caused , he simply thought he wasn't worth thinking to much about.
"So what did you do to get Benson of all people so mad?"
James opened one eye and looked at him before smiling.
"Oh the Prez tried dared to raise her voice against me so i started saying stuff about her seems i was sloppy and it got to the wrong person"
"There is a lesson to be gained here but i doubt you will learn from it"
James laughed a little before asking "And why is that mr Clark?"
Eid glanced at him before focusing on the road.
"Because if you had the capacity to learn you wouldn't be the way you are now"
James eyes opened wide he looked at Eid but for some reason there was no anger , Eid couldn't tell what emotion exactly was in those eyes of his.
The rest of the class raised their voices as they looked at the live tv in the bus , seem miss bennet turned it on for them she likely wants to see it too , this was the first time that a tower ascendance would be live telecasted.
For the kid's it was probably the most exciting thing to happen in their lives to date but Eid didn't really care all that much , James was leaning back in his seat looking at the screen.
The chosen of humanity the bravest men and woman with specialitys ranging from combat , research and medical field slowly walked up the stairs where a celestial was waiting in its uniform , a black cloak with golden lines in a groove pattern , with a black stone mask mimicking the same pattern with the same golden lines.
The celestial looked at the chosen before nodding and snapping its fingers as a black stone gate dropped from the heaven's the gate then opened as a light shined from the other side.
The students all leaned in front of their seats looking at the light.
Meanwhile on the road a small crack appeared in the air opening wide a light shined through , Eid spun the wheel with a hurried expression ,trying to swirve the bus out of the way , but the bus entered the crack.
Eventually white light appeared stiching the crack closed.
Eid opened his eyes.
"Well danm i never knew my Biology teacher could drift a goddamn bus" James said with sardonic tone as Eid looked at the ground in front of them the rough tar rode was now gone replaced with shiny jade around them were an ocean of mist with black stone pillar extending into the heavens.
