Lost was He Fu Xian in the mirage that was the colourful deep haze or vivid disturbing dream. The colours blended together like murky ink as the person in front of them then transformed into a butterfly, their wings flapping away at the dark setting sun, the clouds dripping down like paint waiting to dry.
He Fu Xia couldn't break out of the strangling sensation that eclipsed their senses. Everything was too hard to make out, their vision blurry from the shell which protected them & the darkness which surrounded their body. Their eyes dropped due which caused flowers to bloom from which the clear pure evanescence when it hit the ground, causing pure white lilies to bloom.
I have a headache…
He Fu Xia thought.
A severe one at that.
The pain of the headache like someone was merely clutching their head in their head to crush it. It made He Fu Xia uncomfortable enough that their headache would not subside given the bright dark colours which permeated their dream.
Could it be that I am dreamwalking?
Fu Xia had heard of the term in passing online when watching a video about dreams, something that interested them immensely aside from topics such as psychology, especially of what the great Carl Jung wrote. Their narcoleptic lifestyle had long deprived them of the joy of a good sleep, especially after their diagnosis.
He Fu Xia sat up slowly from the beach, taking in the scenery before reaching out towards the sun.
CRRRSJKS!!!
What!?!?
I woke up in a sweat, back into my bedroom. The strange dream or nightmare which had woken Cassian up was upsetting as it was vividly disturbing. Had those been the memories of their past life? It sure had felt like it & they were beginning to believe, the vivid inky sky eclipsed by the too bright sun & melting cloud imprinted into their mind.
"Cassian! Breakfast is ready!"
Mom's loud shout reverbed through our townhouse as the smell of pancakes wafted through the corridors. Maybe an existential crisis could wait another day, as I had school to go to.
