Chapter 7 - [7] The All-Knowing and All-Powerful Trade Guild

Resurrection!

The moment that word left Takuya's mouth, Tsunade's pupils shrank sharply.

A wave of intense pressure radiated from her.

Even Shizune clamped her hands tightly over her mouth.

But Takuya remained smiling, as if he hadn't noticed a thing.

He knew—it was time.

From free jars to now, step by step, it was time to drop a bomb.

"Miss Tsunade, you must have lost someone important... In your world, that kind of thing happens far too often."

"Our world?" Tsunade repeated.

"Then allow me to formally introduce myself," Takuya chuckled softly. "I'm Takuya, an interdimensional merchant of the All-Knowing and All-Powerful Trade Guild."

Naturally, that was a fake identity.

Takuya had already thought this through.

The things he brought out couldn't be explained otherwise.

Some of the herbs just now didn't even exist in this world.

And there would be far more bizarre goods in the future.

Claiming to be a merchant from another world not only explained the source of the jars—it also added mystery and deterrence. If necessary, it gave him leverage to make people hesitate before acting rashly.

Besides, as long as he sold enough jars, with this profit margin, he'd become strong very soon.

"Another world?" Tsunade looked even more confused.

The ninja world had some tech, but at its core, it was still a backward society.

Most people had no concept of other worlds.

"That's right. This world isn't the only one."

Takuya slowly raised his hand and used the system to create a one-time illusion technique.

At the tip of his finger—

Countless phantom images began to appear.

Skyscrapers beyond imagination. Giant metallic monsters pouring from rifts in the sky, clashing with bizarre warriors. Massive armies and colossal tree-like beings walking upright, dragons breathing fire. Gods high in the clouds striking with lightning...

All of it—

Footage from movies Takuya had watched.

His calm voice followed.

"We travel across worlds, trading with all beings—humans, gods, and everything in between. So please, don't limit our abilities to just one world's perspective," he said softly. "Perfect resurrection, with no cost or side effects—it exists. And it lies within these jars, which you can truly call treasures."

"..."

Tsunade didn't respond for a long time. Shizune subconsciously bit down on her own hand—trying to feel pain, to confirm this wasn't a dream.

The vivid images.

The otherworldly goods from the jars.

All confirmed it was real.

After who knows how long, Tsunade's hoarse voice finally broke the silence.

"How much… to open one of those resurrection jars?"

Her fists were clenched, her body trembling slightly, her expression no longer stern—but instead with tightly pressed lips, and a rare hint of vulnerability.

Because she desperately wanted to—

See them again.

"…I don't know," Takuya shook his head. "If it's someone with average strength, theoretically... it could appear in tier-three jars. But the more jars you open, the higher the chance. These jars respond to the opener's deepest desires."

Tier-one jars: 3,000 Trade Points.

Tier-two: 30,000.

Tier-three: 300,000.

And so on.

Resurrecting Nawaki—even as a custom order—would only cost around 400,000.

He was just a 12-year-old genin, after all.

Dan, though... that'd be way pricier.

"Tier-three… 5 million ryo per jar?" Tsunade's gaze sharpened. "I'll find the money."

"The more, the better," Takuya reminded. "The more you open, the better your odds."

He did feel some sympathy for her—but he hadn't forgotten his principle as a merchant.

The resurrection coin would stay hidden until the end.

Besides, there was still plenty of valuable loot to pull.

"The more, the better?" Tsunade narrowed her eyes at him. "So you came to our world just to sell things? You can travel worlds, wield miraculous items… and you care about money?"

Just that Elixir of Life alone—

Even a feudal lord would pay any price.

With the Cross of Courage and a new goal, Tsunade had already broken out of her slump.

And now—

She was starting to question Takuya's meaning, and more importantly—his purpose.

"We don't just trade money." Takuya held up a paper bill between two fingers and smiled. "Currency carries the hopes and desires of an entire world. That makes it valuable to us—and its value is only realized through trade."

"I see." Tsunade rubbed her chin and thought for a moment. Then looked up. "What does that even mean?"

"…Ugh." Takuya sighed. "It just means—we sell jars. That's it."

One lie always needs a bunch more to cover it.

If she didn't get it, oh well.

"Is that so?" Tsunade didn't say whether she believed it or not, but her face suddenly broke into a confident grin. "I'll be keeping an eye on you. If I find out you've got some shady plan—hmph."

"Lady Tsunade..." Shizune's eyes sparkled like stars.

How long had it been?

How long since she last saw Tsunade this fired up?

Takuya felt a little speechless.

Had he just dug his own grave?

"Well then, get some rest." Tsunade waved her hand. "We're heading out first thing tomorrow."

"Huh?" Takuya blinked—then realized what she meant.

She was including him in that "we."

"Didn't you say you're just here to do business?" Tsunade crossed her arms, still smiling. "Konoha's full of rich people. They'll definitely be interested in your jars. What—don't wanna go? Or maybe…"

This merchant—his origin, his jars—everything was far too mysterious.

If left unchecked...

Who knew what kind of chaos he'd bring. Just what Tsunade had opened already could restore her to full power—and gave her several trump cards.

Bringing him back to Konoha—

Was the smartest option.

Meanwhile, Takuya was feeling weird about it.

The Third Hokage was still alive. If Tsunade returned now, the whole story would go off-script.

…Whatever. Didn't matter.

Konoha was a great place. Lots of wealthy clients. And even if he wasn't super strong yet, his one-time-use items would cover most threats. Worst case, he could always run.

Right now, he only had one goal—

Make money.

With this system in his head, as long as he had cash, he had nothing to fear.
