Chapter 2 - The Silver Knight

After hours upon hours spent traveling and finally, they reach their destination. Once the carriage stopped; two 12-year-old boys hurriedly came out, one with green eyes and bright blue hair named Zane Conan, a healer.

The other with dark yellow eyes that seemed gold with short black hair on the sides of his head and bright blue on top, named Acyrus Cerulean, a manifest.

Finally, they both get to have a brief moment to not only stretch but scratch their nice tender ass so blood can flow once more.

"Oh, my goodness!!, I think my butt permanently stopped working, I can't feel anything at my rear end."

The green-eyed boy Zane states with a pained expression, fearful of whether or not he is going to feel his ass ever again.

"Hey, try rubbing your butt cheeks against one another, I heard it quickens the process."

Acyrus suggests this solution while trying to hide his laughter.

"Ooh!, I think you're right; I'm starting to feel some tingling. I can't feel anything when I touch it, but I somehow feel the pain." They both share a gag as he rubs his ass.

"Hey!!" their teacher, master Reus yelled." stop your nonsense will you and move those hips in a productive fashion". [ pronounced ROIS] [ don't forget]

The person that said this was a pale muscular man who's 187cm tall dressed in a navy blue and black combat uniform with minimum armor.

Has snow white hair that ends on his broad shoulders and sharp red eyes that have a stern expression. He looked to be in his late 30s.

"Fiiine." the boys reply in unison & in reluctance.

"I wonder how master Reus's butt feels right now?" Zane whispers to AC.

"Have you seen his face, it must be painful considering his age." he whispers back as he laughs softly.

They quickly grabbed their luggage to head to an inn nearby to soon reunite with one of their favourite towns called Sofia Town.

Sofia Town is known for its beautiful landscapes with various trees, mountain greenery and luxury housing that are built on these mountains for the wealthy, offering an impeccable view that is a mixture of manmade and natural beauty, where everyone seemed wealthy.

It is a hub for wealthy, people from all around the world, such as kings, dynasties, clans and knights that are very politically connected or are so influential that they are revered by the masses.

However everything has flaws, the most visible flaw is that it is the most unequal town in the continent of blue, and third in the world.

If you are below a certain net worth and status, you are not allowed to own property or even enter certain spaces unless permitted to do so. In this town money does more than talking; it is your attorney.

Some people that live there seem to be very wealthy at a glance; however this is just a veil for them to hide that they're broke. This way of living leaves them to barely be able to afford basic amenities and access to sufficient healthcare.

They do this to maintain the illusion of success. Anyone who is found to be poor in those properties will be forced out of their homes and live in a different town.

Generally poor people that pretend to be rich do so for better connections or opportunities to one day have a business breakthrough in order to have a solid legacy that lasts for generations and others do this just to show off.

And for them Sofia Town is the best place to have that opportunity both locally and internationally.

This divide forces the unfortunate to join large criminal organisations in order to gain or maintain relevance in the town.

The issue with that is once you get into that type of business you'll never leave, you'll just be a perpetual slave, giving you the illusion of success but never having the time or resources to enjoy that success.

INT. INN - Morning

"You know the beauty of this town never ceases to amaze me; it's a shame my family refuses to own property here let alone spend a holiday here."

"Instead, we spend holidays in the mountains, in the middle of nowhere."

Acyrus mumbles in envy and disappointment as he unpacks while gazing out in the distance. Minutes pass and the alarm sets off and everyone is dressed in their full combat gear, ready for the mission.

"Now since the both of you are settled, heed my words with great attention." Rues says this as they leave the inn.

"We just received word about our target's next destination. Our goal is to capture an artifact from the Rosso family before it is sold."

"Our only challenge is that their client is Lord Scarlet, and her servant is an unknown threat if you are approached by her servant, do not engage, only run in her presents, and I'll try to deal with her, you deal with the guards."

Ac [Acyrus] asks in confusion thinking they were going to be directly involved in fighting her. "I thought she was a baron, what changed?"

Reus answers. "Well, Because the person we are about to face, is said that she can go toe to toe with a viscount and both of you are baronet, directly involving you two may be your demise."

Zane tilted his head to express greater confusion.

"How can a servant be as strong as a viscount and she is not even a knight?" genuinely wanting to know what makes her an exception.

"Well, she's like an illegal version of a Royal Knight." Reus response.

"Some families like to have an unknown knight as a servant to seem less powerful than they are."

"And her being this, which means her past is unknown including her strength."

*Eish, I would love to fight her, but it seems the circumstances presented won't allow it.* Zane internally sighs in disappointment; his face still displays focus and determination.

"This is why it is paramount to… Bla Bla Bla " Reus rumbles on.

*Oh no, here comes a 20 min long speech. man, master Rues barely speaks but when he does, it's always a speech. *

AC rolls his eyes and Zane's face is now covered with boredom as they leave, wishing their teacher would shut up.

Ac nudged him, whispering under master Reus's voice.

"Hey, look on the bright side, after this mission we'll soon explore SofiaTown."

Zane smirked and said. "Have you seen this town? I love it but it can be overwhelming at times."

"That's why I'm here," Ac shot back. " I'll be your grandest guide." he placed his hand around his shoulder with an evil in his face.

"I'll call it the grandest guide to leisure; just you wait." His yellow eyes are glimmering with joy as if he was never bored a moment ago.

 Cut to

INT. Main Hall - DAY

A stunning dark skin woman in her shimmering silver white dress and armor, stained in blood moving from room to room killing everyone at 3 tenths of a second, confusion and panic spreads like a deadly virus. And they couldn't even muster a thought, if they did their only thought was, "what's thaaaat?" As her large sword kills a minimum of 4 people per swing.

Once the slaughter ends, she then stands at the centre of the hall for a minute, being bathed in golden sunlight that beams through the windows of the party hall.

Her dress, skin and powder blue hair that reflects the beaming light to any eye that sees and forces it to cast a shadow in order to shield itself from the bright light.

The only thing that contrasts her are her victims, dressed in black; drenched in blood that flows like water after a heavy rain in search of the nearest sea or river.

As she looks down on them with one eye at the lifeless flesh which encapsulates her face. A face of indifference towards her targets be it man or woman, young or old, man or beast; she kills indiscriminately and unequivocally.

She then slowly & gracefully walks towards the nearest exit, dragging her large silver sword on the ground whilst there's a carriage waiting to be at her disposal.

"Boss, boss, bosss, Look!! she's already done." The butler exclaimed in awe and terror after witnessing such slaughter.

He quickly runs to open the door for her entrance; with blood leaving her at every step she takes on the grass. Which took her a total of 47.26 seconds to walk to the carriage.

*Did she literally kill about 700 people in less than 5 minutes… i i it it caaaan't be!!* The boss vigorously screams internally.

*If this is Lord Scarlet Servant, I wonder what more horrific things Lord Scarlet did to not only obtain but retain such a powerful person.*

The boss, taken aback by this, tries to hide his fear from her gaze. As he watches her enter the carriage without her saying a word and her sword turning into liquid like mercury and it starts to merge with her arm realising that it's part of her body.

The boss in question highly underestimated Lord Scarlet, considering the fact there's little known about her. Thinking she was some unknown opportunist who was using the Rosso family to ascend in the black market of SofiaTown.

He was not wrong to think this; unknown powerful people are extremely rare to meet, so much so that their names and faces are forgotten.

And many con artists use this fact to pretend as though they are them, and live the best life where everything is essentially free because in reality if you mistreat these groups of people your whole bloodline and legacy can dissipate in less than a day if they so desire.

To prevent this they put these people in danger to see if they slightly get hurt or injured then that's how they know you are a con artist. Looking at her it's clear to him that Lord Scarlett is not a con artist nor an opportunist.

*Why do they seem surprised? It's not like I was fighting skilled fighters, most of whom were average nobles. I thought the Rosso workers were familiar with this.*

She was confused by their silence and panicked faces but paid no mind to it.

*Maybe I should have held back a little more, I suppose it matters not now, for It is best to get this over and done with.*

She then stares out the window basking in the view of SofiaTown with her violet left eye and the other covered in a silver eyepatch, calmly waiting to claim her reward at the next destination.

EXT. STORAGE UNIT - DAY

Master Rues and the boys are waiting for their arrival at the storage unit; where the silver lady and a member of the Rosso family are expected to be.

They stood a long enough distance for them to be unnoticed but close enough to get in on the action.

*Mhh; The boys seem eager to fight today; however she concerns me the most.*

Reus' thoughts are occupied by her. *Her whereabouts and background are unknown, even her name.*

*The people who have fought her and survived were all viscounts; and yet they claim her rank was Baron.*

His thoughts dotting around his head. *A Baron shouldn't have the power nor skills to outclass a Viscount, Let alone rival one.*

His face proved that his thoughts were surrounded by her, yet he has never met her.

*It's been decades since last someone made me nervous of fighting them.* feeling his heart beating faster than the last.*

"Ready yourselves, they're expected to arrive at this hour."

Ac sees his master's face being more intimidating than usual.

*I've never seen him this serious before.* This signals to him that she's not one to be taken lightly.

Looking into his crimson eyes seeing that his teacher might have met his match.

*I suppose there's always someone stronger, but I'm curious as to who's the strongest person and will I ever have the privilege to meet such a person .* Ac' also lost in thought.

*What's the point? It's not like I'm going to be a knight anyway.* stopping himself seeing that his fate has been written and sealed by his Clan.

.

Zane tapped his foot impatiently. "Man, these people are taking forever…" His patience slowly runs thinner with each passing time."

Alast, a carriage appears from afar and enters the Storage Unite; it's their signal that the mission has begun. They spread out. The boys survey the main entrance to make sure more guards don't enter or interfere in their masters fight.

"Now I'll wait until the deal is over then I'll make my move and attack, you boys will go fight the guards and I'll handle the silver knight. "

The butler opens the door for their exit at a private area, the only way to enter this area is to be invited from the inside or have the master key where only a select few people have their energy signature marked on the key.

This system is one of if not the best way to secure something. If the key does not recognise the energy signature it's as useful as a wet piece of paper.

A Rosso family member named Pec Rosso, opens the gate and they proceed to walk on a tunnel full of hundreds and thousands of garages. Mostly filled with ancient artifacts and treasure, every step they take a light shines above them and turns off when they pass it, unable to see what's ahead nor behind them.

This storage is hidden deep underground with multiple paths, complex structure and has security measures, so one cannot tell what's hidden inside, even if you somehow managed to get inside, getting out is a completely different story.

*This must've been built over a thousands of years ago based on the structure and circular patterns; if this was built recently it's safe to say the king and the Ciel emperor would have known by now and subjugated it.*

The silver dressed knight thought this as she walked with them in the deafening silence.

"Isn't this amazing mam? the beautiful walls, patterns and lastly the amazing mechanics behind it right." the boss, desperate to kill the silence. She ignores him as if he's non-existent.

*Is she mute or something? I've never heard her make a sound the whole day.*

*Veteran knights are so annoying, it's hard to have a normal interaction with them; it's either they're out to kill you or just here to get the job done.*

They soon reach her garage, he opens it, she enters and collects the reward as promised; she verifies it to see nothing is counterfeit or missing.

The Rosso member looks at her with uneasiness. He was given an order to trap her inside the garage, however his heart wanted to jump out of his chest and flee for dear life.

Wishing she would finish as fast as possible and leave, because something told him that this woman was beyond inhumane, he could not put his finger on it but he knew there was something unsettling.

He had a feeling that even if she was successfully trapped, she would somehow escape and kill him. So he is left to rely on the tip he gave to the knighthood association.

Hoping that they can do something about her.

"Mam, I'd rather we do this quickly. The gate changes keys at every hour and they are currently not in my possession."

"We have 23 minutes remaining, three of which can be used vicariously."

Moments pass she raises a thumbs up signaling that she's finished; she does a sealing technique to store all the artifacts she just collected and proceeds to exit the garage.

They close the garage; leaving faster than when they came in. They soon exit the gate and it immediately closes.

As soon as she exits she looks up left and right as if a fly flew past her. She reached for two pocket knives and threw them so fast you could even hear the knives piercing the air, hitting the ground where they where about to take a step.

The thrown knives were not intended to harm them but to show that she was aware of their presence. One at the main gate where the boys were hiding and the other at the person closest to her and that person was Rues.

Reus was equally impressed and a little freaked out by her sensory skills and how accurate she was.

For it is very rare for one who was not a detector to detect a knight that is at the peak of human power which was being a Viscount.

This caused him to have more questions about her, but reminded himself that paying too much mind to it only distracts him from seeing the bigger picture.

He directly attacks her, not giving her a chance to react. But to his dismay she dodged his attacks, matching his speed.

His face filled with surprise but immediately gained his composure. Being an enhancer, he quickly increased his physical speed by 6 seconds faster.

Rues launched a spinning kick as soon as he reached the ground. Instead of dodging once more, she grabs the bottom of his foot with her hand turned silver, a gust of wind rushing through her face and says.

"You strike me as a calculative knight, however when facing someone of my caliber, I suggest you fight me earnestly, it may lead to your death if one chooses not to do so."

She pushes him far back and he flips to quickly regain balance, His crimson eyes become brighter, his skin thicker and his senses have become much more sharper.

"BOSS! GET IN." the butler yells; the boss and Pec Rosso use this opportunity to get away from this situation as fast as they can.

Rues summons a red scythe. The scythe is great at maintaining or reaching distance in hand to hand combat and has sharp blades at both opposite ends of the scythe.

What makes this scythe dangerous is that it is a special grade weapon. Meaning it has its own ability, and its ability is healer.

He mainly uses this weapon due to the fact it can heal him while simultaneously poisoning its target when contact is made.

The silver Knight unbothered by this, simply transforming her feet into running prosthetic legs that have sharp blades at the ends of her legs with a spring to them in order to increase her speed.

They resumed fighting; their surroundings were starting to take damage as they fought.

Rues was twisting and turning the scythe along with his body; fighting in sync with her trying to overwhelm her both in quantity and quality strikes, moving roof to roof and floor to floor

Trying really hard to land an attack. It does not need to be a painful one but a decisive one, because if he does, the poison in the weapon would disrupt her energy flow causing irritation to make her lose focus and eventually her making a mistake, despite his efforts it is of no avail.

The silver Knight's left eye darted all over the place, calculating every outcome, when seeing an opening she would simply tap him softly with two of her fingers, observing and making decisions at ⅔ of 1 tenth of a second.

The longer they fought the more he realised he's being outmatched, she was just faster, but for him to reach her speed he would also have to reduce his strength.

This may put the boys and everyone at risk and she was well aware of that fact but wanted him to give it his all.

She recognised his strength but wanted to see him using his intuition rather than his thoughts.

They soon pause, him quickly catching his breath, realising there's something more to what meets the eye, when attacking she never seemed to harm him, never going through with her attacks.

This greatly confused him as to why she never capitalised on her attacks considering she had more than enough opportunities to do so.

*Her EV suggests she's a Baron, but based on the results in front of me she's very much more than that.*

*How does she hide her power that well?* Reus thought?

She stands there, menacingly still as a statue waiting for his next move. She quickly grows bored watching him calculate his next.

"You know if my memory serves me correctly, I did tell you to fight me in earnest. This will be your punishment for failing to do so.*

She then raises her hand and clenches it, multiple spikes appearing everywhere in his body where she was taping him during their fight. And the spikes immediately fly towards her and merge with her hand.

Leaving him wounded on his knees, the only thing keeping him alive is his scythe slowly healing his wounds.

"I wish to see more of you, so I will spare you"

The silver Knight, trying her best not to kill him but disappointment is enough to make her want to.

.

She summons a giant white butterfly with gold patterns after saying this, a cloud of smoke appears above her as the butterfly appears; she jumps and holds on to it flying away.

A man with black hair and purple eyes. Dressed in a black and gold uniform,

Immediately walked towards him as soon as the silver knight left.

A sharp grin covered his face seeing that Rues was now flat on the ground, as soon as Rues' eyes made contact with him, his grin widened.

"You know, if pain was a person, it would be you right now." He said with a devilish smile.

"Are you going to kill me or what?" He asks, seeing how vulnerable he was.

"Killing you would be nice, and it would increase my reputation but I'm here to make a contract."

"Lets first get this out the way, to better our negotiation"

He takes the scythe from his grip and throws it away leaving him unable to heal himself.

"Before I give you my stance, how are the boys?"

"The boys managed to flee, they put up a better fight than you by the looks of things."

Showing him his left hand that had a knife in between his forearm.

Rues deepened his gaze onto his eyes to see if he's speaking the truth and his face proved that it was so.

"I'm listening," Rues said, wanting to know the contents of the contract before making his decision.

He proceeds to tell him and wants him to do something for a certain someone before it is too late.

"If I refuse"

He straightened his head, his hand turned black and sharp like a dagger, pointing it at his head dripping out his blood. His eyes expressionless and replied.

"If you refuse, I have no choice but to kill you; so, pick your poison?
