Chapter 2 - 002

"Tristan!

Wake up" The voice sounded so far away but the hand that tapped repeatedly on his shoulder wasn't.

He frowned as he stretched on the bed.

He had slept in his clothes and his glasses had fallen off.

Looking around for it between the sheets, he was finally able to see the stranger beside his mother.

"Good morning Mom" He greeted in a sleepy voice, still confused that a total stranger was standing and staring at him in the middle of his room.

"Go and take your bath. This is the person that would help you prepare" She announced and everything that happened yesterday finally rushed back.

"Mom!" He held her back as she made to walk out of the room.

"I don't think I can do it. What if he kills me after he finds out the truth?"

He asked in a desperate voice.

"Your father will sort that out, just do as he says for now" She removed his hand from her arm and finally walked out.

"Hi, I'm Lana," the lady introduced with a warm smile.

"Hi". Tristan returned in a small voice and looked away from her.

Tristan wasn't sure what his Mom meant when she said Lana would help him get ready and the dresses she brought out made him frown.

"Am I going to wear this?" He asked, pointing to one of the dresses.

" You will pick one of your choice and you will wear that but for now. We would do your makeup" She replied and began to apply make up on his face.

"We won't need this for now" She replied and took his glasses away.

"Don't you have contact lenses?" She asked as she worked on his face.

"I do but I don't wear them. It's uncomfortable".

"Perfect!" She squealed and he frowned but he remained quiet.

The makeover took more than an hour and Tristan was getting tired and impatient by the time it was over.

"And we are done!" Lana announced with a smile.

"You look perfect," She said in awe.

She moved away from the mirror and allowed him to see his reflection.

Tristan went quiet as he stared silently at his reflection.

His lips were painted with a cherry-colored lipstick and a fairy blue eyeshadow complimented that.

He could not recognise his reflection from the mirror.

"I look so different" He whispered and touched his face.

"No, sweetheart, you look beautiful," she corrected.

"To complete the look, we will go with this" she announced, whisking out two wigs.

Tristan frowned and shook his head.

"Do you want him to know right out that you are a male?" She asked, her smile disappearing.

"No," Tristan replied, while shaking his head.

"But I don't want to wear that," he thought painfully.

***

"It's almost time!" Tristan heard his father yelling from outside the door.

But he was almost walking out already.

Lana opened the door to help him out of his room.

Dressed in a long flowing dress , Tristan walked out of his room looking nothing like himself.

His parents paused to gawk at him for a few seconds.

Tristan looked down in shyness.

He couldn't walk in the heels and his body itched from where the wig was touching his skin but he cannot complain.

He could only remain quiet and hope not to blow his cover.

The four of them went to the venue of the wedding in his father's old beaten down car.

Tristan's palm grew sweaty as he had no idea what to expect or who the Alpha is.

***

They got to the venue and a few cars were at the parking lot of the registry.

"We are here" his father announced and Tristan's heart kept wildly in his chest.

"Hey, it's alright" Lana whispered in his ear but he only stared back at her blankly while clammy palms grew sweaty.

With Lana's help, he was able to make it out of the car and walked towards the building while his parents walked in the lead.

Just as they walked towards the entrance another vehicle arrived and they all subconsciously turned to see who it was.

Needless to say, an elegant and neat leather shoe touched the ground from the car and slowly the huge frame of the Alpha came out of the car.

Tristan looked at him and he immediately tried to hide behind Lana.

"Alpha Mitch, Welcome" Tristan watched in disbelief as his father bowed to greet him.

Alpha Mitch's uninterested gaze travelled to his face and he glanced at him for a second before looking away.

Without acknowledging his father's greetings, he walked inside ahead of them in long strides.

"No, I can't do this," Tristan said as fear gripped him.

"There is no turning back now!

Better don't let him get a whiff of that fear and let's get inside!" His father said through gritted teeth.

Inside the place, Alpha King Mitch looked at his watch with impatience as he waited for them to arrive.

He has something else to attend to and he wanted to get it done as fast as possible.

As an Alpha King, he took over from his father five years ago and although his territory and his power has grown tremendously, the pack's elders have always made it a constant issue to always remind him of his mate-less status.

After they had nagged and threatened him for years, he finally decided to pick someone.

He does not care who it was, as long as it was an Omega.

His beta had made all the arrangements and he just came to sign the papers.

The real ceremony would happen later.

His patience was thinning when the door finally opened and she walked in.

Even though the Omega had just walked in, he could smell fear coming off her immediately.

It was displeasing and that added to his already bad mood.

They both silently signed the papers, no words needed. Just signatures.

Tristan's hand trembled as he gripped the pen.

Even if his father had promised to sort everything out, he knew that his life would never remain the same after signing the documents.

But there was no turning back, and he couldn't even cry or he would mess up the makeup and that would expose his secret sooner than necessary.
