Sabrina locked the doors as she made sure he was tucked into the bed sheets. As soon as she stepped out of the room, she met Cedric.
"I've been searching all over the castle for you" Cedric's voice startled Sabrina as she turned to stare at Cedric.
"Well I've been in my room, I was about to go down to the dining room for dinner" she utters hastily,
"Are you okay Sabrina?" He inquires as he holds her hands.
"I wanted to talk peace over dinner to Alex" Sabrina was pissed at Alex at this point, because he got himself drunk at the time his brother wants to settle their differences.
"I guess he stepped out for a walk, because I watched him leave the castle" Sabrina came up with the story because she knew Cedric wanted to go to Alex's chambers.
"Are you serious?" Cedric found it hard to believe that Alex was out of the mansion.
"Yes," Sabrina wondered if Cedric knew she was lying.
"It's late, are you sure Alex's not planning to take the throne away from me hence his night movements" Sabrina knew that Cedric was whimpering because of his fear for his brother's sole aim of walking into this building.
"'Can you stop worrying about stuffs that don't exist?" Sabrina squeaked wearing a smile on her face.
"Why would he leave without letting you or anyone know about his whereabouts?" Cedric acted cautious, this amused Sabrina because she knew Cedric as someone callous and careless about almost everything.
"It's none of your business, he's a grown man and besides we're in the room going back and forth so when I stepped out he was already trudging downstairs" Sabrina divulged knowing that she had to push him to the dining room.
"You're right, but What if" Sabrina placed her fingers on his lips.
"That's exactly what I thought can we stop talking about this and fill our stomachs, I'm famished" Sabrina dragged Cedric playfully, so he wouldn't listen to Alex's words.
"I hope he's asleep at this time" Sabrina mutters to herself as she stole a glance at the door again before walking into the dining room.
"Ma'am I made the dinner for three?" The maid was sad when she realized that Alex wasn't even present.
"As you can see he's not present," Cedric cackles, Sabrina scoffed knowing that Cedric wouldn't hesitate to finish his share of dinner and add Alex's share to his.
"Pancakes" Cedric was astonished as he opened the plates.
"Are you serious?" Sabrina felt elated, as she opted for a warm hug. The maid hugged her, her face red with excitement. She was impressed that the Royal family loved her choice of dinner.
"Yes, I don't know why the maid decided to prepare pancakes but this is what I wanted" Sabrina chuckles as she sits back down.
Dinner went silent, only sounds of clinging forks and knives on the plates.
"Now this is one hell of a dinner. I'm impressed" Cedric divulged as he downed a cup of wine.
"Thank you, sir"
"This was perfect, thank you" Sabrina appreciated the maid wearing a smile on her face as she dashed out of the dining room to meet up with Cedric.
"Engaging in a conversation as we walk past my chambers is the only way I get to hide Alan's condition from Cedric's eyes... Who knows what Alex's up to at this point?" Sabrina thought to herself as she approached Cedric.
"Are you planning on leaving me in there?" Sabrina giggled as Cedric held her right hand and spun her around, holding her as Sabrina pretended to fall.
"I've filled my stomach so what's the use of sitting there?" Cedric held down his smile.
"At least get some air"
"Speaking of which, let's head down to the garden" Cedric suggested, this relieved Sabrina as they used the back route out of the house since it was close to the gardens.
"Your servants are taking care of your flowers" Sabrina utters as she places her head on Cedric's chest.
"They don't have a choice, I'll make a Fortune out of these flowers that I can assure you" Cedric stares at his flowers, knowing that once he starts selling the adult flowers he will make a great deal because the flowers were rare, and extremely expensive.
"So are you ready to make peace?" Sabrina wanted to be sure that Cedric's words were said out of the heart and not just ordinary words falling off Cedric's lips.
"Oh, Alex right... Yes, I'm ready to make peace as long as it'll make you happy" Cedric chuckles as he planted a kiss on Cedric's hair.
"Once I make peace with Alex, no one will see his death coming, when he's dead I will then think of the best way to do away with you too Sabrina" Cedric's thoughts as he smirked,
"It's my wish, if you do this I'll love you more than you imagine" Sabrina cackles,
"Are you joking now? So you don't love me?"
"I'm only exaggerating you know that, but I want peace to exist between you both" Sabrina heaved up a deep sigh knowing that she might have sprouted suspicions in Cedric's mind.
"I'm thinking of expanding our lands,"
"Those lands on the outskirts of the pack don't belong to you,"
"Do I look like I care about what anyone thinks? If the owners sincerely walk down here for inquiries, I'll pay them off" Cedric cackles as Sabrina raises her head to stare into his eyes.
"Why do you like inviting problems to your doorstep?" Sabrina has known Cedric for taking what's not his and when the owner asks he pulls up a deal that'll leave the owner with no choice but to accept it.
"Don't worry that's not a problem, that I can assure you" Sabrina sighed as she listened to the loud growl.
"Where's that coming from?"
"I think that's Alex" Sabrina stutters as Alex blasts through the windows, landing on Cedric's precious flowers before running off into the forest.
"Oh no, my precious flowers!!! Alex, you'll pay for this"
