Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 If he dares to walk out of this door with her

"How...what happened?"

Just as Lu Jiuqian was rolling the lighter, he saw the second master opposite him reading a message, breaking the cigarette between his fingers, his eyes frighteningly cold.

"Bitch." ShenJi forced out the syllables through his teeth.

Lu Jiuqian: "?"

"Are you talking about LiShuang?"

When LiShuang was mentioned, Lu Jiuqian took out the yellow file bag from among several documents and slapped it in front of him: "I almost forgot to give it to you."

ShenJi was so angry that he threw his phone on the table and took the file bag: "Clean it up."

Lu Jiuqian had just lit a cigarette and helped him clean up the tobacco scattered on the table.

The more you do, the more unfair it becomes.

How did I end up having a cleaning job?

ShenJi looked at LiWanwan's information, his eyes becoming increasingly cold.

The red text is shocking.

All I knew was that she left my home and never came back, and I thought she was just being kind for a moment and would forget about me after she woke up from a sleep.

I never thought about what she had been through because she lived in a troubled area.

He crumpled the small stack of papers and asked, "Has the incident from that year not been dealt with?"

Lu Jiuqian: "There is no record of any processing."

ShenJi frowned: "Go check."

Lu Jiuqian took a puff of cigarette with some embarrassment: "Second Master, after all, it happened more than ten years ago. Unless I am the person involved, I can only go and ask in person if I want to investigate."

ShenJi took the lighter and rolled it, lighting the stack of documents, letting it burn out, then loosened his fingertips and threw it into the iron trash can.

Lu Jiuqian observed his expression and probed in a low voice.

"Then I'll go?"

ShenJi held the lighter in his palm and stood up: "You don't know, I have something else to do, so I'll leave for a while."

Lu Jiuqian looked at his back as he left, and tightened his lips around the cigarette.

This reaction is not right.

Is the little mouth going to fall out of favor?

LiShuang missed out on lunch with Shen Yuci, and after walking around the street for a while she felt very hungry, so she wanted to find a place to eat something.

[Kanlan] is a famous teahouse, and its pastries are the only one in Jiangcheng that has such special features.

It seemed like Bai Ze and Mao Anan didn't need to eat, so LiShuang had no choice but to stay here, not for the sake of eating fullness, but simply to fill her stomach.

Sitting at the low wooden dining table by the window, leaning against the soft hand-woven pillow, the rich aroma of tea mixed with the sweet fragrance of exquisite pastries entwine and penetrate into the nose.

LiShuang sipped tea and listened to music, enjoying the warmth of the sun shining on her face through the hollow wooden lattice windows.

"younger sister."

"Second Master."

"...Second Master."

A sweet and soft greeting was heard, and Bai Ze and Mao Anan on the opposite side stood up and greeted.

LiShuang's heart skipped a beat.

It seems to be LiWanwan and ShenJi.

She tilted her head back to take a look. The man was in a shirt and trousers, and the woman was in a fluttering white dress. Standing together, their figures and appearances gave people a sense of contrast between wildness and docility.

LiShuang smiled and greeted, "You two, what a coincidence."

LiWanwan stood in the sun, she looked like her white dress, even her hair was glowing, and her voice was gentle.

"What a coincidence, the Second Master is going to send me back. Do you want me to wait for you?"

"No need, I just got here, please go slowly." LiShuang withdrew his gaze and refused.

[If he dares to walk out of this door with LiWanwan...]

BaJie paused before she finished speaking: [What if I dare? ]

LiShuang used her metal fork to cut off a large piece of green pastry and put it in her mouth: [It has nothing to do with me! ]

ShenJi looked at her, and when he thought of her meeting Shen Yuci without telling him, a chill that even the sun couldn't warm away appeared in his eyes.

"Then eat slowly."

He said casually, looking at LiWanwan beside him: "Let's go."

LiShuang: "…"

My sight drifted quietly towards the two figures, one tall and one short.

BaJie didn't dare to speak.

Mao Anan sat down and leaned against the back of the sofa, saying sarcastically, "After all, people who do great things have broad minds."

LiShuang took a sip of the slightly bitter and fragrant tea to relieve the sweetness in her mouth.

"Then you will be someone who can do great things in the future. After all, you are working for someone who can do great things."

Mao Anan turned her head away and didn't look at her.

Bai Ze didn't say anything, because even if he didn't understand the love between men and women, he could see that the Second Master treated Miss Li differently from the woman just now.

LiWanwan was sitting in the passenger seat. ShenJi wanted to remind her but didn't say anything. He looked straight ahead and drove away. He could feel the low pressure brought by the woman beside him, so he spoke first.

"I will take care of this matter."

LiWanwan didn't look at him, but lowered her eyes with a smile in her eyes: "I don't blame you, I just didn't expect you to be him, anyway... I'm glad you're okay."

ShenJi's Adam's apple rolled slightly.

That little figure flashed through her mind. She wiped the sweat off her face with her sleeves, smiled sweetly, and said thankfully in a very childish voice, "I'm glad you're okay. I'm leaving now. I'll bring you medicine tomorrow when I'm free!"

As a result, she never came back.

It was almost winter, and if there was no warmth, perhaps I could have endured the silence, but I didn't expect that the light that was willing to shine on me would be thrown into darkness.

ShenJi parked the car on the side of the road, lowered the window, took out a cigarette and paused.

"Can I smoke?"

LiWanwan chuckled and looked at him and nodded seriously: "Of course!"

ShenJi frowned and blew smoke out of the window.

"after..."

"Do you want to thank me?" LiWanwan interrupted him.

ShenJi pursed his lips and looked at her with complicated eyes: "I just don't want to owe anyone."

LiWanwan looked at him with a pure smile, but her eyes were moist.

"You don't owe me anything. Thank you for sticking up for me after all these years, but you shouldn't have gotten close to me."

ShenJi: "Why do you say that?"

LiWanwan retracted her gaze and shook her head, looking out the window on her side: "When you finish smoking, take me home."

ShenJi didn't smoke any more. He just threw away the cigarette, started the car again and left.

LiShuang returned to the villa after eating.

I didn't wait for ShenJi to come back until I finished dinner, took a shower, and lay down feeling sleepy.

I just pressed the pillow and prepared to go to sleep.

"Crack—"

The door was pushed open.

LiShuang subconsciously turned over in bed and looked at the door.

ShenJi walked into the room with a rage that could not be suppressed.

LiShuang saw that his black shirt was wet and stuck to his abdomen, revealing the outline of the muscles underneath.

His eyes went down, his arms hanging casually at his sides, his sleeves rolled up to his elbows. The blood vessels on his muscular forearms stretched upward and merged into the sleeves. Under the dim light, it seemed as if he could see patches of red on the backs of his fingers.

"Silence?"

LiShuang's first reaction was that something had happened to him. She blurted out his name and sat up.

ShenJi was stunned for a moment.

The two looked at each other silently. LiShuang got out of bed and walked in front of him. She looked him up and down, and when she reached out her hand to him, he dodged.

LiShuang's fingertips seemed to be burned by the air and retracted into her palm.

She turned and walked towards the bed.

Too.

He should know how much LiWanwan has done for him, so it is normal for her to avoid him.

"I'm dirty."

ShenJi explained behind her.

When LiShuang turned around, he had already walked into the bathroom, and the lingering smell of his blood seeped into her nostrils.
