Chapter 1 - EPISODE 1 : THE GLIMPSE

Scene 1: Yamato, a young man, walking down a straight road at noon. He spots a restaurant nearby and considers getting a non-alcoholic drink. However, before he can enter, he witnesses a disturbing scene: five men are harassing a girl.

A sudden flash engulfs his vision, and he inexplicably pulls out a baseball bat. Consumed by an uncontrollable rage, he charges at the men, knocking them out one by one within minutes. His anger spirals, threatening to escalate to lethal force, until the girl he saved shouts at him to stop, exclaiming, "It's enough!" Yamato instantly drops the bat and walks away with an arrogant expression.

Scene 2:The next day, Yamato enters school after a long vacation. Due to his insomnia, he immediately tries to nap in class. Students begin to trickle in, but he remains asleep. The teacher, Mam, arrives, greeting the class warmly, yet Yamato continues to slumber. It isn't until attendance is called that his lack of response is noticed. A student attempts to wake him, but he remains unresponsive. Mam, in a fit of exasperation, throws a chalk piece at his head, shouting, "Yamato!" He jolts awake, apologizing to everyone before groggily answering "Present, Mam."

After two uneventful periods, the first break begins. Yamato, predictably, is asleep again. A hand gently shakes him awake. He suddenly sits up, instinctively raising his hands in a fighting stance, only to see a girl standing before him. "Thank you," she says.

"Who the hell are you?" Yamato asks, bewildered.

"My name is Jun," she replies. "Yesterday night, you saved my life from those perverts. I'm so thankful to you. Thank you very much." She then asks his name.

"My name is Yamato," he grunts.

"Nice to meet you," Jun says, but Yamato, uninterested, promptly goes back to sleep.

Scene 3:Jun later confronts him, "Why didn't you even hesitate about your life and jump in? Why?!"

"You're done for if you don't let me sleep, okay? Just get lost," Yamato retorts.

"Please tell me what made you do that?" she pleads, but he's already snoring. Jun sighs, simply admiring him as he sleeps.

Suddenly, the teacher enters the classroom. Mam asks Jun to introduce herself, as she's new to the school. As Jun begins her introduction, Yamato awakens and starts listening. He looks at her face more clearly, and the same flashing vision from the previous day recurs, indicating he's traumatized by the memory.

Scene 4:

After school, Yamato heads home and finds himself thinking about Jun. He calls his best friend, Toko, who knows everything about him. He tells her that the new girl, Jun, seems to resemble Rin, his old girlfriend who died.

"Who?!" Toko exclaims.

"Just kidding, leave it, please," he says, and hangs up the phone.

The next day at school, Toko asks him about their conversation from the previous night. She then begins to research Jun. Later, Toko tells Yamato that Jun is from a rich family and has transferred from another school due to some issues.

Scene 5:

After lunch, Yamato approaches Jun and asks, "What's your name?" She replies with an angry expression, "I told you yesterday, but you didn't even give a damn!"

Yamato apologizes for yesterday and repeats, "Now, what's your name?"

"My name is Jun," she states. She then invites him to a restaurant with her friends. He flatly refuses, "No, I'm not interested at all. You go and enjoy." She pleads with him in a very charming way, and he eventually accepts.

"Yamato," she says, "you need to pick me up. I'll wait at the town hall at 7:30 PM, okay?" He grunts, "Okay," and leaves her. Jun is about to blush but manages to control it.

Scene 6:

Yamato works as a delivery boy at his grandmother's restaurant, a part-time job he does thrice a week. The next day, he arrives at the town hall to pick up Jun. He sees her waiting anxiously.

"What's with the outfit?" she asks.

"I work as a delivery boy thrice a week; it's a part-time job for me," he explains.

She then asks, "Shall we go to the restaurant now?"

He replies that he has another order. "Then go finish them," she says, "and let's go to the restaurant."

"No," he insists, "come and join me. We'll both go and finish this final order, because this isn't a safe place for girls." He tells her to ride in front of him on his scooter. She blushes intensely. They set off to the delivery location, he delivers the order, and then they head to the restaurant where Jun's friends and Toko are waiting.

They are ridiculously late. Toko, in a teasing manner, asks him, "Why are you late? Is something going on between you two?" They both blush.

"Don't talk shit, Toko, just eat and get lost," he grumbles. Toko laughs, and their party begins. He starts to sleep again . Jun notices that Yamato isn't mingling with everyone; he only stays close to Toko, highlighting his anti-social nature.

Scene 7:

The party winds down, and everyone starts to leave. Eventually, only Jun, Yamato, and Toko remain. Jun asks him, "How was your day?" He replies, "It was normal, as usual." He then asks her about her day. She responds, "I will never forget this day; it's very special to me."

Toko leaves. Yamato is about to leave as well when he asks Jun, "How will you get home?" She says, "By walk."

"Okay," he says, "then I'll accompany you to your house. It's not safe for a girl at midnight." They walk to her home. She asks him, "Why are you so anti-social? You just ignore everyone. Why?"

He replies, "Please don't ask about it. It's my own problem, and don't interfere with it, okay?" he says with an impolite expression, and leaves.
