Chapter 1 - Dark Moon Tear

**Title: The 13 Dark Champions of the Abyss**

**Prologue: The Birth of the Abyss's Chosen**

The Abyss is not merely darkness—it is a living entity that feeds on the suffering and despair of all living beings, transforming their agony into perverse pleasure.

Everyone fears the Abyss. Mortals flee, hide, and pray to escape it. But they are coming... They are the **Thirteen Dark Champions of the Abyss**. To encounter them is to face certain doom, for they are neither human nor divine—they are the enemies of gods themselves.

— *"Ah… It hurts… It burns… I'm scared… Am I… dying…?"*

Krain, the garbage dump's overseer, writhed in pain. His eyes, hardened by 17 years of cruelty, now reflected pure terror. Those pitch-black arrows of light! They had torn apart his father, wife, and daughter. His family… His wife and child had suffered, starved, and ultimately perished.

*"Damn it all! I see everything now! I want to destroy it all!"*

Krain roared in fury.

— *"Hahahaha… My boy…"*

A familiar voice echoed from the shadows.

— *"If you've come to curse me, then run!"* he snarled.

But the laughter only grew louder, closer. In the flickering light, Krain glimpsed a towering figure—a silhouette clad in armor darker than night, standing over two meters tall.

— *"Who… are you?

### **Chapter: The Shadow's Mockery**

— *"Do you even need to know my name?"*

Krain smirked, his laughter cold and razor-sharp.

— *"Hmph. You look like a pampered hound of the nobles. Another leash-bound puppet of the Lightborn, are you?"*

— *"Hahahaha! You dare insult me? I am no dog of those wretched archers. I'd rather choke on my own blood than serve as their slave!"*

— *"Then what are you? A slave of the Damned Throne, perhaps?"*

The stranger stepped closer, his gaze piercing through Krain like a blade.

— *"You'll learn the taste of fear soon enough."*

Then, he dissolved into the shadows, leaving only silence behind.

### **The Whisper of the Abyss**

Krain staggered back, his breath ragged.

*"What the hell was that? Armored in darkness, yet alive... How? Is this some kind of twisted joke?"*

Before he could ponder further, chaos erupted in the city.

Screams tore through the streets as messengers of the Lightborn sprinted in panic, their voices shrill with terror.

— *"Run! The White Dawn has fallen! The Lightborn are slaughtering everyone—writing 'BEGONE' in blood on the walls!"*

Citizens scattered like leaves in a storm, their cries blending into a symphony of despair.

And in the darkest corner of the alley, someone laughed.

— *"Look at them, these pitiful worms, scrambling like rats. Hahaha! Magnificent."*

It was Krain.
