It was the deciding day for Thomas, Duke Velkin arranged a secret meeting with Thomas his future was depending on his choice." What do you want to do you have 2 options"....." TWO!!! Options I thought I was done for ", said Thomas in a relaxing way. " yes you are done for but since you're Marin's child I am giving you another option", said the Duke with a disappointed manner.
"I-I am glad", Thomas said with heads down. Duke with a heavy tone spoke," first one is as you know going to the house of peers as usual....( thomas had a weird expression on mention of house of peers )The second one is that you can become falkner's Butler and serve him which will allow you to stay here at the mansion". Thomas shocked at the second options replied, " What serving falkner I'd rather go to that hell hole then work for him...how could you even consider it ". The Duke behaved as if he knew this will ," Yes as I expected you'd rather die at those geezers place rather then stay here as a servant , don't worry I have already arranged for your journey you'll need to leave right now".
Thomas awe struck," Wait right now but I haven't even said by to my mother and emily my maid and i heard Alicia is here atleast let me meet here...I- I can leave tomorrow right". On that time the Duke stood and said," how more shameful will u be ( Thomas was shocked on his accusations) do you want to see your mother as a failure...The moment you weren't able to pick anything you lost your rights as velkin now leave before my sight there's a carriage on the back entrance".
Thomas folded his hand into a fist and was burning with rage without saying anything he left the room and headed straight to the back entrance . A masked person waiting for him at the gate he nodded his head to confirm that he was the one who came from the peers house to take him. Thomas without any greeting sat in the carriage when the masked person Said," This may be your last ride on a carriage enjoy it till it lasts". Thomas ignored his advice he just had one thought of...( failure..yes that's who I am but I'll show my dad..no Duke Velkin that what can this failure do ) with regrets and hatred Thomas left the mansion to start a journey of trials and tribulations.
The sun moves at it time soon the day began, the carriage reached the house of peers. Thomas without a wink of sleep with baggy eyes got out from the carriage and saw the house. It was a shame to call it a house rather it should be called horror house, the walls painted in clad black with crows swarming on the top of roof it was perfect for a ghoul or lich to live.
Without any time the masked man took Thomas inside where a old bearded man greeted them," I see those eyes are ready for this place " He mentioned on seeing Thomas's dark circle eyes."who are you old man ", Thomas asked him. On his question Thomas felt a powerful strike oh his back , Thomas fell down and he saw a lady pressing her foot against his back as she said, " respect you insolent brat , you're nothing just a failure". Upon the mention of failure something in Thomas clicked he held her legs and tried to threw her but his attempts were for nothing instead in response he got another strike on his head which led him to unconscious.
After a while Thomas began to gain consciousness
He woke and when looked he was still fallen on the entrance ground," nobody even has the courtesy to pick me up". He murmured to himself and stood. He walked towards the door and when opened he saw two girls standing one of which was the one who hurt him. He was about to rush but his step interrupted cause he remembered what happened back there. He bowed and greeted her," Hello senior....I- I am Thomas velkin Son of current Duke velkin"....The lady moved forward and held her chin saying," I guess you learned your lesson...it's good for you and by the way I am Ravenna and she is Molly". Molly waived her hand in greet.
"Now of to your room it's the 2nd one on the right of 2nd floor",She said authoritatively."yes , miss Ravenna ", Thomas replied in respect as he walked towards the stairs." Fast get your ass moving or else a kick will increase your speed". On Ravenna's word Thomas speed increased.
As he reached the 2nd floor he opened his room and was shocked," What the fuck"...
