Chapter 8 - Let's Take Action!

The next day, early morning.

Tianyu Media Company.

This was a media company under the Fang Group with assets worth billions, currently managed by Fang Yu.

Chairman's Office.

Fang Yu reclined lazily in his leather chair.

"Knock, knock, knock."

There was a rap on the office door.

"Come in," Fang Yu said.

Leng Han entered from outside. "Young Master, what do you need me to do?"

Without much preamble, Fang Yu picked up a document from his desk and tossed it in front of Leng Han.

Leng Han took it and looked it over, slightly surprised. "This is..."

"A list."

Fang Yu spoke calmly. "What you need to do is find everyone listed there, and then..."

He gave detailed instructions on what needed to be done.

"If necessary, you can use the family's resources."

This list contained supporting characters that Fang Yu had compiled based on the book's plot.

This group of people would, at various points in the future, either assist the protagonist in different ways or be recruited by him.

They were all minor characters who were relatively simple and easy to deal with in the story's early stages.

Taken individually, each of them was like an ant before the Fang family—easily crushed with a flick of the wrist.

However, when there were too many ants, even an elephant could be brought down!

Not to mention that with the protagonist's halo blessing them, these people's threat levels would multiply exponentially!

Before the protagonist Chen Ye officially made his appearance, Fang Yu didn't mind cleaning them up to avoid future troubles.

"Yes."

Leng Han raised no questions about this task. This was a habit he'd developed since childhood as Fang Yu's personal secretary.

Ask less, do more.

He didn't need to understand Fang Yu's orders—he just needed to execute them.

On the sidewalk outside a residential complex.

A middle-aged woman in a red coat was walking her dog when a young man wearing a sun hat and white work clothes immediately approached her.

In his hand was a stack of what appeared to be flyers.

"Congratulations, ma'am!"

"Me?"

The middle-aged woman stopped and pointed at herself, looking confused.

"Yes! Our travel company has opened a new branch in Haiqing City. To celebrate the grand opening, we're randomly selecting thirty customers to receive complimentary fourteen-day Hawaii vacation packages, including meals and accommodation. We'll even help with passport applications and other documentation—all we ask is that you help promote our company afterward!"

"Really? There's such a good deal?"

The middle-aged woman looked incredibly surprised, feeling like she'd been blessed with extraordinary luck.

The staff member smiled warmly. "Of course it's real. Our company is well-established, and you can find our official information online. You can trust us completely."

"Will you accept this invitation? If you agree, come with me to the company to register, and we can arrange your trip immediately!"

"Accept? Of course I accept!"

The middle-aged woman was ecstatic and hurriedly followed the staff member, her dog in tow.

She had no idea that according to her original fate, she would soon develop a malignant illness while out on the street.

Then Chen Ye, encountered by pure chance, would demonstrate his prowess by publicly humiliating an expert doctor on the scene.

But now, she had accepted an invitation for a Hawaiian vacation, so this encounter would naturally never occur.

As for whether she might fall ill in Hawaii—that depended on fate's whims, which wasn't something Fang Yu concerned himself with.

He was a villain, not a saint.

What did the life and death of these irrelevant people have to do with him?

"Ding! Host's villain value +200! Protagonist's luck value -200!"
