Chapter 1 - An Account of earlier times: The Beginning

In the ancient era that ended millions of years ago, many great civilizations may have risen and fallen, leaving behind only traces of their existence. But among them the most powerful civilization beyond the grasp of even heaven's wrath. The civilization known for his majestic nature, immense power and wisdom. The civilization of Dragons called the Aetherdran. The Aetherdran Empire was established by the nine primordial dragons known as the ancestors of Dragon. The dragons were living peacefully. Heaven saw the rise of the dragons not as evolution—but rebellion, for they were the only ones capable of challenging its decree.

Thus began the great war between Heaven and the Aetherdran Empire—a clash of divine will and draconic defiance. The war raged with unimaginable fury, leaving devastation on both sides. The nine dragon ancestors were shattered, their souls trapped inside nine-petaled lotuses, but the cost was high heaven too was left severely damaged. After the sealing of the ancestors, the dragons believed the war had ended but in truth, it was only the beginning of a far greater disaster. The Celestials saw it as an opportunity to completely destroy Aetherdran Empire to its roots. Though their ancestors were sealed away, the Aetherdran Empire still stood unmatched among all civilizations.

After the Aetherdran Empire, the Celestials were the strongest—but not strong enough to challenge them single-handedly. In their struggle, the Celestials forged an alliance with both the human race and the Phoenix Clan called the Dracobane Covenant. The war lasted for decades. Both sides suffered greatly, but the dragons bore the heaviest losses. The Dragon Emperor, Long Di, was the mightiest being after Heaven itself and the Nine Ancestors. Yet in the end, even he fell—brought down by the combined might of the three Celestial Ancestors, the Phoenix Ancestor, and the Five Human Sages.

After the fall of the Dragon Emperor, the skies wept fire and the world trembled beneath the weight of celestial wrath. The mighty empire, once ruled with honor and flame, crumbled into ash. The Celestials, fearing the prophecy made by the celestial imperial teacher of the true dragon's return, that:

When lotus bleeds and skies are torn, from blood and flame a prince is born. The stars shall dim, the moon shall weep, as dragon wakes from shadowed sleep. One scale remains; one truth shall rise— Heaven shall fall 'neath dragon skies.

The Celestial Court, shaken by these words, struck swiftly, slaughtering the imperial bloodline and capturing the Empress in a cruel display of power. The Empress was executed, and the empire collapsed into legend. Yet in the shadows of ruin, one loyal servant fled with the infant prince and the sacred lotus. The prophecy endures, whispered in secret by those who remember—and feared by those who rule.

Driven by fear of the prophecy, the Celestial Empire scoured the realms, hunting the Dragon Prince with ruthless obsession. Villages were razed, ancient clans of dragons slaughtered without mercy—any trace of the old blood was silenced in flame and steel. Yet even as they tore the world apart, they found nothing. Unbeknownst to them, the last heir of the Dragon Emperor had not yet hatched. Hidden deep within the Whispering Mountains, the dragon egg—warm with imperial flame—lay cradled in silence, guarded by Zhou Li, a loyal Dragon Commander, and the last surviving blades of his legion. Wounded but unbroken, they waited in shadows, swearing their lives to the unborn prince and the day his roar would shatter the heavens.

Years passed in silence, as the world above forgot the warmth of dragon fire. Deep within the caverns of the Whispering Mountains, the egg pulsed with ancient power—its shell etched with golden veins that shimmered like starlight. Zhou Li and his loyal warriors formed a hidden sanctuary, fending off beasts, spies, and even time itself. They called the egg "Tianyan"—Heaven's Flame—praying for the day it would stir. And then, on the night of the crimson eclipse, as the sky wept blood and the Nine-Petaled Lotus bloomed under moonlight, the egg cracked. A roar not heard since the fall of the Empire echoed through the mountains, shaking stone and spirit alike. The Dragon Prince was born—not as a child, but as destiny reborn in flesh.
