He could see that they weren't willing to back down, and for the first time, he felt he had no control over the situation. He looked up and sighted his Alpha.
No! He thought. He couldn't lose his power. The alpha trust him and not being able to handle this might make him feel pissed at him. "If you don't leave right now, I may have no choice but to give it to you the best way." He threatened, and Sia's heartbeat increased. The Alpha was famous for his ruthless ways. What the beta could do could be nothing short of that.
"Please give me a moment to take her home," Sia begged Beta Joe. She had promised herself that she would protect Emily from all evil, even though Emily was fearless.
"I'm not going anywhere." Emily spat and sat on the floor.
They all froze.
"I have never seen a woman with so much audacity. Do you want death?" One of the guards spat.
"Drag her away, and when you get to the gate, make sure to fling her to the street." Beta Joe ordered, and they all got together to grab her at once.
"Don't! Don't touch my sister. I can take her out myself." Sia jumped in the middle, ready to rescue Emily, who sat there determined that she wasn't leaving that place.
They kept struggling, but somehow, Sia was able to push them away and then started begging Emily. "Emily, please let's leave. Can't you see you aren't wanted here? They don't want you here, and I think we shouldn't be here."
"What will happen to my feelings after we get home? Did I tell you that he's my mate?" She opened up.
Sia froze.
"Since you aren't leaving and would prefer to daydream in this Palace, I might as well make you leave in pain. Just give me three minutes, and please don't leave. I would like to feed your flesh to the rogues." He said to them, and Sia froze
She turned to stare at Emily, but she was unshaken. "Why can't you see the fire that's coming. Please, I swear I love every single bit of you, and I would never want to lose either of us. Let's go since they don't want you, please. You are beautiful. Every man would want you." Sia kept begging.
"I don't mind dying for my mate. You can leave Sia. Thank you for everything that you do for me. I hope to have you as my blood sister in my next life." Emily spat and looked at the ground. She felt sad thinking she was going to die, yet she wasn't scared. All she wanted was the chance to speak to Ethan.
Beta Joe walked out again, this time he had his official gun in his hand. He threw a shot of bullet at the sky and Sia trembled so hard that she fell to the floor. "Emily, please let's go. You can't die for a man who would never want to see you and would rather have his beta do this."
"He can go ahead and shoot me." She spat and looked up at him. "Shoot me!" She screamed, and Beta Joe, who was about to lose his cool, lifted his gun and pointed it towards her. The moment he was going to fire, Ethan got up.
"Joe, stop! Don't kill her!" He ordered, but Beta Joe had lost control already. To make sure he didn't kill her like his alpha just ordered, he raised his hand last minute, and the bullet flew past Emily's head and pierced the fence hard wall.
Sia was spared from going unconscious and tried to stay strong. She rushed to Emily and knelt, hugging her.
They looked up, and that was when they noticed the Alpha staring at them. His eyes were deep, and they had no idea what he was thinking about.
"That's him! Sia look! That's the Alpha, right? That's Ethan! My mate! He's my mate Sia!" The joy was evident.
She jumped up and rushed towards the mansion front door, but was stopped. "Let me in." She persuaded.
"You can't go in, miss." The guard there said to her.
She kicked him, forcing him to lose his guard. The guard stumbled, and before he could realize what was going on, she was already inside.
Emily bypassed the hard parts of the stairs as she rushed her way up, hoping to get to the Alpha who was on the balcony.
Sia didn't know what to do. The guards weren't even chasing her anymore, so what reason does she have to be running after her? Then she looked up and saw Emily just getting onto the balcony where the alpha stood.
On seeing him for the first time in daylight, Emily was joyous. "If someone told me that I would ever get to meet a handsome man like you, I would never have believed it. Thank you for everything. By the way, I'm Emily. Do you remember me, Ethan?" She asked him.
"I gave you cash, and I remember telling you to stay away from me. What more do you want? I can give you more money if that's what is important, but I don't need you embarrassing me for the money is to make you disappear from my sight forever." He said to her, and she rolled her eyes and walked closer to him, making him wonder where she was getting her audacity from.
"I don't care about the cash." She shot back.
"You are wretched. You should care about it." He said and walked past her, leaving her there on the balcony. She looked down and saw Sia staring at her. The other guards were around her, not wanting her to do what she had done.
Sia had sacrificed a lot for her that day, and she could see it. This only increased her zeal. If she leaves her without getting what she wants, she would feel like a failure.
