Jungkook had sworn he wouldn't go near Professor Kim again outside of class. He needed to stay sane. Stay safe. Stay… innocent.
But life didn't care about his plans.
"Jeon Jungkook!" the assistant called from the hallway.
Jungkook turned, clutching his assignment folder. "Yes?"
"Professor Kim asked for these. You're in his class, right? Bring them to him — Room 4B."
Jungkook froze.
Why him? Why now?
He hesitated, then nodded. "O-Okay."
His palms were already sweating when he reached the office door. He knocked once. No answer.
But the light was on.
He tried the knob.
Unlocked.
"Sir?" he called softly, stepping inside.
Empty.
Jungkook walked in further, placing the folder gently on the desk. Just as he turned to leave—
Click.
The door shut behind him.
He jumped.
Taehyung stood there, expression unreadable, his eyes traveling slowly down Jungkook's body and back up. "You came in without permission."
"I—I knocked."
Taehyung walked toward him, each step deliberate. Slow. He stopped when they were only inches apart.
"Funny," he murmured. "I was just thinking about you."
Jungkook's heart pounded in his ears. "You shouldn't say things like that."
Taehyung leaned in, his voice brushing Jungkook's ear. "Neither should you."
Jungkook gasped — not because of what he said, but because Taehyung's hand brushed lightly against his wrist. Barely a touch, but enough to make his skin erupt in goosebumps.
He looked up — and their eyes met.
Electric.
But then—
Bang.
The doorknob twisted. "Professor Kim?"
Jungkook yanked back like he'd been burned.
Taehyung turned to the door calmly, voice smooth. "One moment."
He glanced back at Jungkook, lips curved into something dark, amused.
"You should go," he whispered. "Wouldn't want anyone getting the wrong idea."
Jungkook's legs almost gave out as he slid past him and out the door, eyes locked with the confused admin standing outside.
Taehyung followed seconds later, utterly composed, as if nothing had happened.
But Jungkook knew.
Something had started.
And it wasn't stopping anytime soon.
