Chapter 2 - Transmigration

"Ahh.... h-how am I alive" Yuru gasped as he awoke. He was drenched in sweat and hyperventilating. The pain of his body shutting down had faded but it still lingered in his mind.

"That had to be real, that pain couldn't have been my imagination" Yuru said his head now buried between his knees.

"Okay, okay, I need to stop hyperventilating" Yuru told himself as he tried to steady his breathing by taking long deep breathes.

While calming himself down Yuru lifted his head and looked around, he had assumed he was back in his bed at home but he was wrong.

He was in a small wooden room that certainly wasn't his room. He again began to panic his breathing becoming more sporadic.

As he looked around the room a glimpse of something shiny hanging on the wall to his left caught Yuru's attention.

"Mirror? I need a mirror" Yuru said as he hurriedly got up and rushed to the thing hanging on the wall, it was indeed a mirror that had a small coating of dust on it.

Yuru wiped away the dust and gazed at his reflection. He then took two steps back as his face contorted in confusion.

He no longer had short black hair instead he now had blonde hair down to his shoulders. Along with his eye color having changed from brown to an emerald green.

Other than that he looked exactly the same as he had that morning when he looked in his laptops reflection.

He continued to step backwards until he tripped and caught himself on the metal backboard of his bed, placing his whole weight onto the metal backboard.

As he did so the metal bent under the force he had used to catch himself causing him to fall onto his knees. It bend to much but it was enough to be noticeable.

"What the hell" Yuru examined the metal he had bent it was 2 inch thick iron which he most definitely shouldn't have been able to bend.

As he started to get even more confused he suddenly heared a knock on the door to his room.

"Sir, sir" A small voice said from behind the door while lightly knocking. The voice was muffled so you couldn't tell if the voice was feminine

Yuru stood up and walked over to the door. "W-who is it" He shakily said standing to the side of the door.

He was still on edge and wasn't willing to take any chances. The knocking stopped and the voice on the otherside of the door didn't say anything.

"It's room service" The voice replied sounding different from before. Yuru couldn't tell why but he didn't feel safe in that moment, he felt as if he was in a tremendous amount of danger.

"I didn't order any room service" Yuru said looking around the room for something to grab.

"Open the door sir" The person's voice had gotten deeper and more demanding.

Yuru continued to frantically look around for something to defend himself with or a way to escape.

"Why doesn't this room have any windows?" Yuru asked himself as he looked around.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

The person on the other side of the door was no longer knocking Instead it seemed like they were trying to break down the door.

"Think, think, think" Yuru said as he looked around his heart beating like a hummingbird.

"The bed!" Yuru thought as he rushed over to the bed and threw the mattress up. Underneath the mattress were 8 metal bars bolted to the bed frame.

Yuru grabbed onto one of the bars in the middle and began to pull. Since he was able to bend that iron earlier he should be strong enough to pull the bars off.

*Creak* the metal began to creak as Yuru began to pull. He put all of his strength into it and ended up pulling the left side off of the frame.

"OPEN THIS DOOR NOW!" The voice was no longer as muffled as before and Yuru could now tell that the person on the other side of the door was a man.

The man was close to breaking into the room which gave Yuru the incentive to pull up the other side of the bar from the bed.

*Ping* one of the bolts popped out as Yuru finally got the bar off the bed frame which again he shouldn't have been ablevto do.

*BOOM* the door swung open having successfully been broke down. Now standing in the doorway was a skinny looking man with brown hair and blue eyes. He had a look of anger on his face as he stared Yuru down.

"You couldn't have just made things easy could ya" The man said retrieving a hammer from the back of his belt.

"Where is the money" The man said gripping the handle of the hammer tightly as he took a step towards Yuru.

"What money?" Yuru said holding the bar in both hands trying to be ready to defend himself.

The man looked at him with an even more pissed off look than before.

"What money? WHAT MONEY?" The man lunged towards Yuru with a crazed look in his eye.

"Just calm down" Yuru said getting out of the way before the man could hit him.

"SHUT IT!" The man yelled swinging at Yuru with his hammer. Yuruvwas able to successfully block the hammer strick using the bar.

The slightly stumbled back after being blocked, Yuru took advantage of the situation and swung upwards with the bar hitting the man in the stomach.

"Ahk, h-how did you learn so much?" The man asked holding his stomach and looking at Yuru with a confused face.

Yuru chose not to answer the man instead choosing to put both his hands on the bottom of the bar and swing down on the man full force. The man unable to move took the full force of Yuru's blow and fell face forward onto the ground.

"... Are you dead?" Yuru asked looking at the man now sprawled out on the ground.

He could the man's chest slowly rising up and down beneath him. Yuru dropped the metal bar and hurriedly left the room slamming the door shut behind him.

"I need to get out of here" he said to himself as he began walking down what seemed ro be a hallway. There were only 4 rooms there including his.

As Yuru began to walk he could feel the floor beneath him slightly shake and then stop.

Yuru reached the end of the hall and found only a stair case that led upwards. Without Amy other choice Yuru began to slowly climb the stairs.

The stair case was small so he quickly reached to top of the stairs. At the top he was greeted by a sign that said Lower ship compartments thar clearly referred to where his room was.

"I'm in a boat?" Yuru said looking at the sign. He was in another hallway and both ways seemed to lead the same way so he didn't think to much about which side ro take.

He took the right path, the floor was lined with red carpet at the walls were made of dark brown wood, he wasn't a wood expert so he couldn't tell what it was.

To him it seemed more like a hotel and not a ship. Yuru rounded the corner to see a hallway lined with rooms with another staircase at the back.

Yuru made his way toward the staircase at the end of the hallway. The doors that lined the wall way were white with intricate designs carved into them.

They were much nicer than his door Erich was basically just a flimsy piece of wood with a door handle.

"Am I super poor?" Yuru asked himself, he had apparently been staying in a cramped room in the lowest section of the ship and apparently owed people money.

Yuru came to the conclusion that he was most likely beyond poor.

Yuru made it to the end of the hallway and quickly started to walk up the stairs. These stairs were longer than the ones he had climbed before so he figured he must be getting close to the top deck or something like that.

Yuru made it to the top and was met by a metal door with a wheel on it difficult of like a submarine door.

"Am I on a submarine?" Yuru wondered as he spun the door open. He was met with a gust of wind that caused him to shut his eyes.

When he opened his eyes he was met with the most beautiful sunrise he had ever seen in his life. He stepped out into the open while staring at the sunrise.

In front of him was a metal railing next to a pair of stairs. Yuru approached the railing while looking at the sunset. Though his vision was quickly drawn by the sea of people below him all watching the sunrise same as him.

Everyone there was what looked like 1400s-1500s attire. Now that he was thinking about it so was the man who attacked him.

Yuru looked down at his clothes to find that he was wearing the same clothes as he was at school though long sleeved

t-shirts and Jeans weren't to uncommon in the 1400s-1500s.

Yuru walked over to what he was pretty sure was the side of the ship. As Yuru looked over the side of the ship he could see that he was not on a boat instead he was on what appeared to be a giant air ship.

The ship no longer appeared to be in the air it had been docked and some passengers were already getting off.

Yuru stared off the side ofvthe ship, not only taking in the fact he was in an air ship but also looking at the city below which was completely foreign to him.

The city was a immediately a technological marvel, at least in the eyes of Yuru. It was a mix of 1400s architecture along with steampunk architecture.

"This is definitely not earth" Yuru said as he walked away from the edge of the ship his heart beating fast after taking in the sight of the giant city below.

"I gotta get off this ship" Yuru thought as he began making his way towards the off ramp which was on the main deck of the ship just past the giant crowd of people.
