Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Celine took out the energy crystals. Each one was clear, glowing softly with a gentle light.

She chose a few, wrapped them separately, planning to keep them for her older brothers.

She placed the rest into a small cloth pouch and handed it to Hogan.

Hogan looked at the bulging pouch. His hands shook as he accepted it. He was so moved that he couldn't hide his emotions.

He never expected Celine to be so generous, giving him something so rare and valuable.

"Miss Celine, thank you!" Hogan bowed deeply to her.

He had only hoped she would give him a few more crystals. He didn't think she would trust him enough to give him all of them.

Celine felt a bit embarrassed by how serious he was and quickly said, "Mr. Hogan, you don't have to be so polite."

Hogan bowed again, then disappeared from the room with a thought.

Inside General Meng's tent, the mood was tense. General Meng paced back and forth, anxiety building like crashing waves.

He had used the immortality medicine himself. He still remembered how it healed his wounds and filled him with strength.

But he had used a whole crystal.

Even the Emperor hadn't tried the medicine yet, and he already used it all.

He felt deep regret. He was afraid that this kind of medicine would be hard to find again.

Time passed slowly. The pressure in the tent grew heavier.

General Meng felt trapped, frustrated, and uneasy.

Suddenly, someone appeared in the tent out of nowhere.

General Meng looked up quickly and saw Hogan. His heart finally settled.

"Young Master!" General Meng rushed forward, excited.

Hogan had a faint smile on his face. He handed the cloth pouch to General Meng. "General Meng, look at this."

General Meng took the pouch, opened it, and saw it was full of glowing crystals, each one shining softly.

He was stunned. His eyes filled with shock and joy.

"This... this many?" His voice trembled.

Hogan nodded and repeated Celine's words to him.

After hearing the story, General Meng felt even more respect for Celine.

He held the pouch tightly. His heart was full of gratitude and admiration.

He knew these crystals could save the lives of many Qin soldiers. They might even change the fate of the whole empire.

And all of this came from the kindness of that mysterious and amazing woman, Celine.

Thinking about it, General Meng felt something strong rise in his chest. He dropped to one knee and bowed deeply toward the empty space with full respect.

"General Meng!" Hogan was surprised when he saw him do that.

He had never seen General Meng bow so deeply to anyone except Emperor Qin, so he felt very confused.

General Meng raised his head, his eyes shining with excitement, and explained, "Young Master, I am thanking Miss Celine. I'm grateful that she brought us so many... elixirs of immortality."

Hogan quickly helped General Meng up and gently said, "General Meng, there's no need to do this. Miss Celine is not a goddess. She's just a kind and righteous woman, very friendly too."

Instead of lessening General Meng's respect, Hogan's words made him admire Celine even more.

A normal woman with such generosity and heart was truly impressive.

Suddenly, a thought came to him. He wanted to invite the best sculptor to make a statue of Celine to show his deep respect.

"Young Master," General Meng asked carefully, "I would like to have a statue made of Miss Celine as a tribute. Do you agree?"

Hogan didn't say no. In fact, he agreed right away.

"That's a great idea. Go ahead and do it. Once it's finished, we'll ask the best painters to decorate it. Make sure her beauty and spirit are shown perfectly."

At the same time, Celine had no idea what was going on in the Qin Dynasty.

She was happily moving the box Hogan had given her out of her storage space.

She hummed a cheerful tune and carried the heavy wooden box outside.

Her sudden appearances no longer surprised her family.

But this time, they all noticed how excited she looked.

Her eyes were bright, the corners of her lips lifted in a smile, and her whole body gave off a joyful energy.

"Celine, what's this…" Eleanor broke the silence first. He pointed at the wooden box and asked curiously.

Celine didn't answer. She gave a secretive smile and patted the box, hinting for her brothers to open it.

Eleanor understood right away that something good must be inside.

He couldn't wait. He rushed over and opened the lid in one swift move.

But before he could say anything, Shenan gasped loudly.

He took a deep breath, his eyes wide like he had just seen something unbelievable. His voice shook with surprise. "Pure gold Qin Banliang coins?!"

Celine didn't know much about antiques or old coins, but when she saw Shenan's shocked face, she knew these must be worth a lot.

"Are they really valuable?" Eleanor asked even faster than Celine.

Shenan nodded hard, his tone serious and certain. "Very valuable. Extremely valuable."

He picked up one of the coins and looked at it closely, his eyes glowing.

"These are 100 percent real. And they're in such good condition. Each one is worth a fortune."

Looking at her brothers so excited, Celine felt warmth in her heart.

In her past and current life, her biggest wish was to let her family live a good life.

Now, that wish was finally within reach.
