Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Taste of an Intense Night

How could one not love this ability?

After some testing with Alice, Caleb was able to perfectly replicate one of Alice's personal-use food processing machines.

And they didn't stop at just one; continuing to try, they made a total of four.

All of them were working, and Alice had already started getting various dish ideas after Caleb gave her different types of meat, whether from dinosaurs or the Island Devourer.

Seeing that she started murmuring to herself, disregarding his presence there, Caleb simply stepped away, leaving her in peace.

'This "Modeling" ability was a real find...' he thought.

...

In the ship's living room, Helena and Erza were talking with Saeko.

The conversation was interrupted when he arrived.

"Don't mind me, go on, I'm just stepping out for a bit." Caleb said, leaving.

"Wait!" Erza stopped him.

"Yes?" Caleb turned around.

Biting her lower lip, Erza lowered her head, but then looked at him: "With your abilities, is it possible to go back to my world, or at least send a message to my friends?"

"I don't know." Caleb replied. Seeing the frustration show on her face, he added: "I really don't know. I might eventually be able to reach the world you lived in, but it might not be the one you came from—it could be a parallel world, you understand?"

"I see..." She held her breath before letting out a long sigh: "Sorry about that, I know you're under no obligation to do this for me, it's just..."

"Don't worry, I understand. You have friends you left behind in your world, it's normal to want to go back." Caleb said. "But at the moment, my ability is limited to summoning people from other worlds, and even if I had a way to go to another world... There are some complications. I need to have a link with that world itself."

'A card from that planet, to be more precise.' Caleb added in his heart.

However, there were things he was willing to say and others not.

"Sorry if I made you uncomfortable." She said.

"It's all right." Caleb said, waving his hand nonchalantly.

...

After leaving, Caleb went to the Gravity Machine.

When he opened the door and entered...

Chun-Li and Harribel were still training.

Chun-Li was panting, her body completely soaked in sweat, yet even so, she was dueling against Harribel, from whose face not even a single drop of sweat had dripped.

'There's a huge difference between the two.' Caleb thought. 'But if Chun-Li keeps training, she might one day catch up to Harribel.'

It was a difficult journey, after all, it wasn't like Harribel wouldn't keep progressing.

Not to mention, Harribel was a special existence even after being adapted to this world.

In her world, before becoming an Arrancar, Harribel was a humanoid shark-like being, class Vasto Lorde Menos Grande.

Another thing was that Harribel was forbidden from releasing her Zanpakutō while inside the dome of Las Noches, because if she did, her immense Reiryoku would be enough to demolish the fortress.

Now, all of that had been transformed into Haki, so you can imagine how powerful she was currently—and there was still room to grow.

Stopping the fight, Chun-Li looked in Caleb's direction: "Oh, you're back."

"Hmm, don't push yourself too hard. Take a break." Caleb said.

"I'll do that." Chun-Li wiped the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand, walking out slowly.

...

After Chun-Li left, only Caleb and Harribel remained in the room.

Going to the Gravity Machine's control panel, Caleb locked the door, then increased the gravity directly to ten.

When he did that, he admitted he almost dropped to his knees.

Harribel merely furrowed her brow but quickly released her golden-yellow-colored Haki.

Caleb did the same, his Haki color similar to hers.

"Duel with me." Caleb requested.

"Okay." She agreed concisely.

Unlike when she was dueling with Chun-Li, when she faced Caleb, she drew her sword.

Caleb did the same, grabbing the Tessaiga.

"CRACKLE! CRACKLE! CRACKLE! CRACKLE!"

The gravity pressure, now increased to ten, along with the pressure released by Harribel's Haki, was pressing down on Caleb like never before.

However, even under pressure, he still stood firm as he released even more Haki.

"Here I go." Caleb announced, moving forward.

It took only a blink of an eye for him to appear in front of her and strike.

Harribel simply blocked horizontally.

"I'm just getting started." Caleb said as his sword was deflected, attacking again.

Soon, he attacked more than a thousand times in a few seconds, but not a single blow made it past Harribel's defense.

'As expected, she's incredible.' Caleb thought. 'Even if I go all out, the current me doesn't stand a chance at seriously wounding her. Even injuring her might be a challenge.'

Recognizing this didn't discourage him. In fact, he began to laugh a little, increasing the speed of his strikes even more.

**

Later that same day.

The day had turned to night and everyone was already gathered in the mansion created by Caleb.

With the environment lit by kerosene lamp light, they chatted a bit, mostly getting to know each other.

From 3, they had become 6 summoned people.

Alice, who was in the kitchen with Caleb as her assistant, had finished preparing a few dishes.

When they arrived with the food, everyone's stomachs growled upon smelling it.

Not much else to say—Alice was on another level compared to Caleb. Even though what he made was good, Saeko and Harribel had never had such a strong reaction just from the smell of the food.

Helena looked in Alice's direction and began to see her in a new light.

'In the end, she's not just a girl who likes to tease others...'

At first, she thought it was only with her, but then she saw Alice try to tease Saeko as well—though that had backfired...

Among the dishes she made was grilled meat from the Island Devourer.

There was also a salad with very finely cut vegetables, topped with legumes, and rice infused with tomato juice extracted using a juicer.

Besides being appetizing, it was a true work of art.

Each dish placed on the table had a very creative aesthetic sense.

"I don't think I've ever eaten anything this fancy before..." Helena murmured.

"Gulp."

"Ara, no need to just stare, you can eat~" Alice said generously.

"Then, thank you for the food." Saeko put her hands together before eating what was on the plate in front of her.

Harribel was even more unreserved, picking up her chopsticks and eating a piece of the fish.

"Mmm~"

This was the first time Caleb saw her moan while eating and... he had to admit, it was quite seductive.

Harribel's involuntary moan made some of the girls blush.

Alice, on the other hand, had a smile that seemed to say something like: That's about right~

"Wow, delicious~"

With her hand in front of her mouth, Saeko commented.

Erza, who was already hungry, couldn't hold back anymore after seeing their reactions.

She wasn't the only one—Chun-Li and Helena also got ready to dig in.

In moments, what was supposed to be a dinner seemed to have turned into a place filled with sweet and soft moans from different girls.

Anyone who heard this would think Caleb was having an orgy with six girls at that moment.

"Alice, have I told you I'm glad you joined the team?" Chun-Li said suddenly.

"Really? I'm happy to hear that~" Alice replied, smiling.

**

The next morning, when Caleb woke up and went to the kitchen, he found Alice.

"You're up early." He commented.

"Well... I'm not the only one." She replied.

Following her gaze, he saw through the window Erza swinging her sword outside.

And not far off, he saw Helena in her Elastic Woman outfit.

'Well, it's only been one day since they were summoned.' Caleb thought understandingly. 'I guess it's normal they can't sleep well or stay still.'

...

Walking on water, Caleb used Haki with his bare feet to stay above the surface.

He ran for a bit, but soon let himself sink into the sea.

Swimming, he felt like a fish, swimming very fast while not needing to survive underwater.

'With almost 50% of Aquaman assimilated, I've practically become a fish in the sea...' he thought.

Underwater, he saw some sea creatures, among them, a turtle twice his size.

"Move outta the way, I'm comin' through~"

"Huh?"

'Was that just now... the turtle's voice?'

It was a slow, drawn-out voice with a hippie vibe.

However, he was sure the turtle didn't open its mouth.

'Was that a mental impulse?'

He tried to do the same, but didn't know how to start.

"I'm hungry."

He heard—or rather felt—the mental impulse from a fish this time.

It was a large fish, though not too big, about his size with shiny red and yellow fins.

'This kind of makes me less comfortable eating seafood...'
