The campus was massive.
Even after an entire day of clearing zombies, they had only covered one-fifth of the area.
Not a single other survivor had been found.
And, frustratingly, they couldn't leave the school grounds.
This meant the game map was restricted to the school.
For the next few days, they followed the same routine.
At first, zombie hunting felt monotonous.
But as time passed, Yukino's courage and mental fortitude grew exponentially.
She no longer hesitated to shoot.
Her aim was sharp, her resolve unwavering.
Even when zombie blood splattered onto her, she remained calm.
This was a far cry from the girl who had nearly fainted at the sight of the first zombie.
Seven Days Later
The game finally ended.
During this time, Yukino found ways to repay Nanashi.
Not in the absurd "sacrificing her body" kind of way—
But in small, thoughtful gestures.
Every night, she gave him massages using Aikido techniques.
Surprisingly, they were incredibly effective.
And since their only clean clothes were a set of freshly washed short skirts, well… let's just say the situation had its perks.
She even served him water and personally washed all his clothes.
It was clear—Yukino was genuinely grateful.
Over the week, they had slain thousands of zombies.
And still, it wasn't enough.
There were simply too many.
Nanashi hadn't even realized it, but he had accumulated over 70,000 Doomsday Points.
During this time, he had upgraded his abilities:
[Human]: Nanashi Fumei[Points]: 7,000[Doomsday]:Cognitive Doomsday (12★)Abnormal Doomsday (12★)Uncertain Doomsday (12★)[Abilities]:B-Class: Physical Enhancement (Lv.3), Five-Elements Lightning-Dharma (Lv.3)S-Class: Rough Stone: Vector Manipulation (Lv.4)
Their efforts weren't wasted.
Spending 10,000 Doomsday Points boosted Nanashi's physical strength to Level 3.
His body had undergone another transformation.
Now, punching through steel plates was effortless, and his speed had significantly increased.
Next, 60,000 points were used to upgrade Vector Manipulation to Level 4.
At this stage, his power was comparable to someone with a strong ability, except he had the added advantage of possessing a Gemstone's user.
At the same time, he discovered that upgrading Vector Manipulation to Level 5 would require a staggering 150,000 points.
With only 7,000 points remaining, further upgrades would have to wait.
As for Yukino—
Throughout the game, she had slain more than 3,000 zombies.
After deducting daily survival expenses for food and water, she still had 3,000 points left.
[Ding! Times Up!]
[Zombie Campus: Two Survivors!][Congratulations! You have cleared the game!][Automatic Exit in Progress!]
Nanashi and Yukino exchanged glances, both letting out a sigh of relief.
It was finally over.
In the next moment, their bodies vanished from the dormitory.
When Nanashi regained awareness, he was back in the clubroom.
Instinctively, he pulled out his phone to check the time—
"!!!"
It was still break time!
The seven days they had spent in the Doomsday Game hadn't affected the flow of time in the real world at all.
"Game space…?"
If even time could be manipulated like this, then the true nature of this system was far more complex than he had imagined.
A moment later, Yukino also snapped back to reality.
Her first instinct upon seeing the classroom?
She whipped out her gun, her eyes sharp and alert!
"Yukino, calm down. We're back."
Nanashi quickly pressed down on the gun, placing a steady hand on her shoulder before easing her into a chair.
That reaction—classic PTSD.
"We're back…?" Yukino muttered, lowering her weapon.
Nanashi naturally reached out and began massaging her temples, helping her relax.
Only once she had fully calmed down did he bring up something important.
"Yukino, listen carefully to what I'm about to tell you."
"Alright."
"It's about the end of the world."
They talked for a long time.
Nanashi explained everything about the Doomsday reality in detail.
Yukino was shocked—but she quickly accepted it.
After all, she had personally experienced an abnormal Doomsday scenario.
"I understand. I'll keep all of this confidential!"
Nanashi nodded.
"I trust you on that. But for now, the bigger issue is adjusting your body back to normal."
Yukino glanced down at her hands.
They were as pale and delicate as before—
But deep inside, she could still feel the bloodstained memories of countless zombie kills.
The experience from the Doomsday Game had left a lasting imprint on her body and mind.
This was something they needed to be aware of.
"That reminds me," Yukino suddenly said.
She lifted her palm toward a glass of water in front of her.
A cold mist drifted from her fingertips—
And in an instant, the water in the glass froze solid!
Nanashi's eyes widened slightly.
"Oh? You awakened an ability?"
He hadn't expected Yukino to gain ice-based superpowers from the game.
Yukino gave a small smile.
"At the end of the Doomsday Game, I was given the option to exchange my remaining survival points for exclusive items or abilities."
"I used all 3,000 points to unlock an ability called 'Ice Power'—which allows me to manipulate ice."
Nanashi thought for a moment.
"Let's test it out."
He made sure the doors and windows were shut before stepping forward.
"Attack me directly."
After working together for the past few days, Yukino had already developed complete trust in Nanashi.
So, without hesitation, she attacked.
The result?
No damage at all.
After several trials, they reached a conclusion—
Yukino's ability was roughly at Level 2.
She could fire ice shards and generate cold air,
But she couldn't freeze enemies outright or manipulate large quantities of ice.
Even so, it was a solid power-up.
Ding-ling-ling-ling!
The school bell rang, signaling the start of class.
Nanashi and Yukino exchanged one last glance before heading back to the classroom.
Along the way, Nanashi gave her some extra advice, and they also exchanged contact information.
At the staircase, a curious figure watched them from a distance.
A soft voice whispered in confusion—
"Nanashi-kun… since when was he this close to Yukinoshita-san?"
