Chapter 1 - "Chapter 1: Uchiha Seimei"

Inside the room.

Seimei slowly regained consciousness, his eyes scanning the surroundings, filled with confusion.

"Where is this?"

As soon as the thought arose, a flood of fragmented memories surged into his mind.

"Ninja… Konoha… Uchiha…"

Seimei quickly sorted through the memories in his mind. One by one, the familiar yet foreign terms helped him gradually understand his current situation.

Without a doubt, he had transmigrated.

According to the memories, the original owner of this body shared his name but was a member of the Uchiha clan of Konoha.

Uchiha Seimei had just turned ten this year and was currently a fourth-year student at the Ninja Academy.

As for how he managed to take over this body, the reason was simple: earlier this afternoon, the original Seimei had just returned from school when he suddenly received news that both his parents had died in battle.

Overcome with grief, he lost control—and that was the end of him.

And so, Seimei became the new owner of this body.

But that wasn't the most important part.

What truly mattered was that this world was none other than the famous ninja world—and not just at any point in time, but during the Third Great Ninja War.

One phrase perfectly captured the nature of this era: life was as cheap as grass.

It wasn't just the commoners— even the higher-ranking ninjas were living each day on the edge, never knowing if they'd survive to see the next.

This left Seimei with little sense of security.

Even though he was in the strongest village, Konoha, it didn't help much.

What made it worse was that the original owner belonged to the notoriously ill-fated Uchiha clan. After the war, a clan massacre would follow—talk about misfortune piling on top of disaster!

"Man… I thought dying from overwork was bad enough. Now I have to go through this mess too…"

Seimei couldn't help but feel speechless.

"What?

You're talking about supernatural powers?"

Come on, Qingming already experienced it just now—despite suffering such a major emotional blow, the original body still didn't awaken the Sharingan.

That kind of aptitude isn't just bad—it's downright trash.

As for chakra?

Well, there's a bit of it.

But so what?

In the end, the ninja world is all about bloodlines. The closer your lineage is to Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, the higher your potential ceiling.

Otherwise, at best, you'll end up like Might Guy—a brief, dazzling bloom.

Qingming has no intention of saving the world.

He's very clear about who he is.

Maybe he has some ability, but it's only "some." As for forging a unique path like Orochimaru—that's practically impossible.

"If only I had a cheat ability!"

After thinking it over for a long time and failing to come up with a good solution, Qingming could only mutter helplessly.

However, just as his words fell—

A light blue, translucent panel appeared before his eyes.

[Name: Uchiha Qingming

Age: 10

Physical Constitution: 5

Spirit: 7

Chakra: 60 (125)

Bloodline: Sharingan - Not Awakened (51/100)

Skills: None]

"This... is a system panel?!"

Qingming instantly sat up straight, all the negative thoughts in his mind vanishing in an instant.

He was never the kind of person who gave up easily—it was just that the earlier situation was too difficult to deal with, which inevitably led to some discouragement.

But now...

Even though he still wasn't sure what the panel could do, at least he had a glimmer of hope, right?

His eyes scanned across the panel. The name and age were basic info, nothing worth mentioning.

But the "Physical Constitution" and "Spirit" stats...

The former represented his physical potential—including, but not limited to, recovery ability, nerve response speed, muscle density, bone strength, and basically everything related to the body.

The latter, on the other hand, represented mental potential.

For an average person, both stats are usually around 3 points. Surpassing 3 means you have the potential to become a ninja.

His stats were 5 in Physical Constitution and 7 in Spirit. That might seem decent at first glance—but in reality, it wasn't all that impressive.

At this age, a physical constitution of five is indeed above average among civilian students. But don't forget—the original body had inherited the distinguished bloodline of the Uchiha clan. So this stat is actually a bit low.

As for the spirit stat...

Seven is certainly not low, but Qingming suspected that this number had been raised due to his own arrival. Otherwise, it likely would've only been around five as well.

If that weren't the case, then there'd be no way to explain why the previous host hadn't awakened the Sharingan.

To suggest the original host had no emotional connection with his parents would be nonsense.

He had died from grief upon learning of their sacrifice—how could there not have been true feelings?

And yet, even in such circumstances, the Sharingan awakening progress had only barely passed halfway. That could only mean one thing: this body's innate talent was simply too poor. There was no other explanation.

Now, that troublesome reality had landed squarely on Qingming's shoulders.

After thinking for a while, Qingming couldn't come up with a solution and could only set the matter aside for the time being.

His gaze turned to the "Skills" section of the panel, which was completely empty.

Logically, since he had fused with the original body's memories, he should at least have a few skills, right? But the panel showed nothing at all.

While Uchiha Qingming's aptitude wasn't great, he still knew the basic "Three Academy Techniques"—so this left him a bit puzzled.

If not for the chakra currently flowing through the meridians of his body, Qingming might've even thought those memories were fake.

'Hmm… could it be because I haven't actually used them myself?'

With this thought, Qingming stood up and, following the memory in his mind, began to gather chakra while slowly forming the hand seals—Ram → Snake → Tiger—in an attempt to perform the Clone Technique.

However, after consuming chakra—nothing happened.

Wait a minute—

Qingming's eyes narrowed as he looked at the "Skills" section. There, the empty space twisted slightly before finally displaying a line of text:

Clone Technique: Lv0 (1/100)

"So it really was because I hadn't personally used it..."

Muttering softly to himself as he looked at the newly appeared skill, Qingming shifted his attention to the level and number behind it.

If he wasn't mistaken, that number represented skill proficiency.

With that in mind, Qingming once again gathered his chakra and, just like before, performed the hand seals to cast the Clone Technique.

As expected, he failed again.

But Qingming's face didn't show a trace of frustration.

Why? Because in the "Skills" section, the Clone Technique had changed from:

Lv0 (1/100) → Lv0 (3/100)

This was enough for Qingming to confirm—this panel operated on a skill proficiency system.

As for why it had increased by two points this time?

Qingming guessed it was related to the memories he had inherited. At this point, he was essentially reclaiming strength he once had, so the proficiency growth might not be consistent.

And verifying that was simple enough.

Qingming took a deep breath, calming his excitement, then focused on recalling the original host's experience in practicing the Clone Technique—and began to reproduce it exactly.

A few seconds later, a puff of chakra smoke appeared, only to vanish quickly.

The Clone Technique had failed again.

However, the proficiency increased by three points:

Clone Technique: Lv0 (6/100)

Clearly, his hypothesis was correct.

This meant he could rapidly re-acquire all the skills the original host had possessed in the shortest amount of time—thus covering up any abnormalities in himself.

After all, in the ninja world, there was no shortage of mind-reading or soul-probing jutsu. If he let anything slip, Qingming didn't believe he could escape interrogation by the Anbu.

Even if the chances of catching their attention were slim, it never hurt to be cautious.
