King Armand Feral is the formidable leader of the Feral Bloodline, yet a loving father to Selena and devoted husband to Queen Aurelia Feral. A ruler who values peace over power, he is sworn to protect not only his family but his entire clan. Together, they lead with compassion, fostering coexistence with nature while living apart from humanity and the Blackthorn Dominion.
The Ferals feed only on animal blood, believing that true strength comes not from domination over humans. Their existence is marked by a half-green moon on their left wrists—a symbol of their vow never to consume human blood. They are born with this mark.
Yet despite their longing for peace, an unending conflict persists with the Blackthorn Dominion—a rivalry that has spanned many generations. The Blackthorn clan seeks to dominate both vampires and humans, but King Armand refuses to bow to Lord Vesperian, just as their ancestors never submitted. The war between these clans continues to simmer, as neither side is willing to yield.
King Armand cannot hide his worry and disappointment as he sees many of his men wounded. He never wanted this fight to continue, but every negotiation with Lord Vesperian has ended in failure. Now, he looks around—some family members are visibly anxious, children cry as they cling to their parents, others tend to the wounded, and his servants offer food and water to those in need.
But, King Armand hadn't seen Selena.
"Where's Selena?" King Armand asked with a low tone. He pulled off his gauntlets but his gaze never left the queen.
"I don't know," Queen Aurelia said softly, her voice tinged with worry as she gently assisted him in removing his gear. "I've been searching for her as well. She's been gone for a while now."
Selena's butler ran toward the king, blood soaking his clothes, his breath coming in heavy gasps. He collapsed in front of King Armand, barely able to speak through his pain.
"Your Highness," the butler said, his voice strained, his knees hitting the ground in respect as he spoke. "Lady Selena was taken by the Blackthorn Dominion. She followed you in secret, trying to help during the commotion. I tried to stop her, but they ambushed us. While I was battling one of their soldiers, they seized Selena, and I... I lost consciousness."
"Oh, gosh!" Queen Aurelia gasped, her voice breaking as tears welled in her eyes. She grabbed King Armand's arm, her grip tight with desperation. "My daughter, Armand… please, you have to do something. We don't know what the Blackthorn Dominion will do to her. I can't—I can't lose our daughter."
"I will not let anyone harm our daughter," King Armand said firmly. He gently took Aurelia's hands in his, and he looked at her with unwavering determination. "If I must march into the Blackthorn Dominion itself, then I will. I swear it, Aurelia. I will bring her back, no matter the cost."
King Armand summoned his secretary with a stern tone. "Gather those of our men who are strong and able. Tonight, we will begin the search for Princess Selena."
He paused for a moment, said with determination. "I know you're weary from the battles that had happened earlier, but I humbly ask for your help, for my daughter, who is now in the hands of the Blackthorn Dominion. We will venture into their hideout, but we will not engage in combat. Our goal is simple: observe and wait for the right moment to rescue her."
His people fell silent, but some couldn't help but murmur, their voices tinged with worry for the safety of the clan. Whispers spread like wildfire, some fearing that Princess Selena might betray their location to the Blackthorn Dominion, leaving them vulnerable to an attack at any moment.
"I know our daughter," King Armand firmly said to cut the murmurs. "She would never put our clan in danger. You have nothing to fear."
His gaze swept over the crowd. "I know her better than any of you. She would sacrifice herself to protect all of us. And for those of you who still believe she is cursed because of the full moon symbol on her wrist, let me make one thing clear—she is not a curse. She is our strength."
The murmurs died down, replaced by a tense silence.
"Please be safe and bring back our daughter." She hugged him.
"I'll be back tomorrow morning, okay?" He kissed her forehead and left.
King Armand leaves their site together with 5 of his men. They went to the city since the Blackthorn Dominion secretly lives with humans and only they know their hideout. King Armand signals his men to search the area while trying not to get caught. They observe for an hour but they don't see any trace of Princess Selena. The Blackthorn are busy treating their wounds and giving food to everyone. They also witness the disappointment of Lord Vesperian Blackthorn.
"You're so weak. Those vampire slayers and Feral should be dead and look at you now, all of you look terrible. I told you to kill them but you idiots are so cowards." He scolded those wounded soldiers.
"Next time we will attack them I want them dead if they don't surrender themselves to us. For the meantime, let's lay low for now. Those vampire slayers have their eyes on us." he added and left the crowd.
King Armand and his people failed to find Princess Selena in Blackthorn territory, so he signaled his men to retreat and go back to their place.
