CHAPTER SIXTEEN: HE IS A USELESS MAN
The rich woman stood before the crowd, a sly smile spreading across her face. "I greet everyone again," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "As I said earlier, I couldn't have accomplished anything without my husband by my side." She paused, her eyes scanning the crowd with disdain. "But let me tell you, I am tired of this man. Since the day I married him, he has been a thorn in my flesh. I give him everything, and yet he can't even buy ordinary socks for himself."
The crowd murmured, their faces filled with a mix of shock and disgust. The rich woman continued, her voice growing louder and more venomous. "He is so poor, so useless. I am the one who strives hard to provide for our family, while he sits idly by, doing nothing. I am celebrating my first car today, and yet he didn't even encourage me. He is just a burden, a weight that holds me back."
The crowd began to discuss the rich woman's words, their voices filled with condemnation for the husband. "This man is shameless, living off his woman," one guest said. "What marvels me is that he doesn't strive hard to get better."
Another guest added, "His wife wants to buy a new car, but he doesn't even encourage her. He is indeed useless. He can't even feed his family, talk less of himself. They have been married for five years, and he hasn't changed his status. That means he is comfortable with his poor life."
A third guest spoke up, "I think the rich woman is right to want to get rid of him. If she doesn't, he will infect her with his bad luck."
Just then, a bold man stood up, pointing an accusing finger at the husband. "We men are ashamed of you," he said. "You have disappointed us too much. Don't you know the meaning of 'MR'? It means 'Matured and Responsible'. You are matured, but you don't have any sense of responsibility at all."
The rich woman smiled, satisfied with the crowd's reaction. But just as the bold man sat down, another man stood up, his face filled with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism. "You've heard one side of the story," he said. "But have you asked the man why he is like this? Or is his wife just tired of him and wants to get rid of him?"
The rich woman's eyes turned red with anger, her face twisted in rage. "Why did some people not always mind their business?" she thought to herself. The man continued to speak, but someone stopped him, telling him to shut up and mind his own business.
