Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Feng Shui Enters the Game

At 8 o'clock in the morning, the traffic on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles was heavy, like a long river of steel that never stopped, reflecting dots of white light in the sun.

Lin Fang stood quietly on the sidewalk. He was wearing a dark gray Mao suit, with neat lapels and buttons buttoned to the top. He held an old black leather briefcase in his left hand, and his right hand was inserted into his sleeve. He stood straight, looking quite calm.

Under his feet were the smooth marble steps that rose up layer by layer to the headquarters building of Brightlight Capital Group. Above his head was a glass curtain wall that went straight to the sky. The sunlight was cut into countless sharp edges, sliding down from his shoulders and forehead, like a look of heaven's will.

He raised his head slightly and stared at the nearly 100-meter-high building, with a deep light in his eyes.

"It's really imposing." He whispered to himself.

Lin Fang saw at a glance that the building was in an excellent location. Located in the financial hub of downtown Los Angeles, it faces the main trunk of Wilshire Avenue in front, like a water dragon running through the city, and is backed by the winding Griffith Mountains. It is a typical "Qian-positioned place" with a strong aura.

But Feng Shui is not only about the external situation, but also about the internal fortune. A good location, if the layout is out of balance, will also backfire.

A trace of regret flashed in his eyes.

"Are you Mr. Lin Fang?"

A voice interrupted his observation.

He turned his head and saw a blonde white woman walking over, wearing a neatly tailored professional suit, with a brisk pace, but not much enthusiasm on her face.

"I am Mr. Faulkner's arrangement to pick you up, please follow me." She spoke quickly, with a slightly cold tone, "Today you will attend our executive meeting as a Feng Shui consultant."

Lin Fang smiled faintly at the corner of his mouth, his expression calm as water: "Thank you."

The two walked into the building one after the other. As soon as he stepped into the glass door, Lin Fang paused and frowned slightly.

He didn't say anything, but his eyes narrowed slightly, as if he was feeling the invisible fluctuations in the air.

——The air is not smooth, the wind is unstable, and the evil spirit in the building has not been cleared.

Lin Fang walked very slowly. When he passed the front desk, his eyes swept the surrounding furnishings as if unintentionally. When he walked to the center of the lobby, his steps slowed down by half a beat. He seemed to be walking around casually, but each step was in a specific direction. When he finally stood, he was exactly at the central axis of the aura of the entire hall.

His sight stopped on a sculpture standing in the center of the lobby.

It was a black eagle made of metal, with its wings spread, its teeth and claws bared, lifelike, and its expression mighty, as if it would soar into the sky in the next second. The eagle's body was cast iron and black, and the eagle's eyes were decorated with red copper, like blood eyes under the light. The base below is a bronze metal plate that is 20 centimeters above the ground. It is tilted and has a mottled surface, which seems to be a bit old.

"What is this?" Lin Fang asked casually.

The female assistant paused and said without turning her head: "Freedom Eagle, the logo sculpture of our company, represents leap and enterprising spirit. What? You also know sculpture?"

"A little bit." Lin Fang nodded and smiled, without saying much.

But he already knew in his heart:

-Although this eagle looks majestic and has extraordinary momentum, its position is extremely inappropriate. It is pressing on the "Eye of Tai Chi" in the lobby, which is the place where the aura gathers. It should be stable and upright, absorbing qi and gathering blessings, but it is placed with this strong evil object, which breaks the situation and becomes harmful.

The direction pointed by the eagle's beak is directly at the top floor of the entire building-the location of the director's office, which is a sign of "evil rushing to the main position", which means "upward pressure and downward movement, unstable power and position".

He had already deduced a pattern in his mind: the external situation of this building was OK, but the internal situation was chaotic. Especially on the top floor, the aura was like a disordered meridian. Once it was disturbed, the consequences would be serious.

Lin Fang's eyes were slightly gloomy, and he didn't say a word.

While riding the elevator, Lin Fang closed his eyes to rest, but he was already deducing the way to "break the situation" in his mind. The female assistant frequently looked down at her mobile phone, sorting out emails while frowning unconsciously, obviously not looking down on the "oriental metaphysical master" next to her.

Sixteenth floor.

As the elevator door opened, what came into view was a grand corridor with dark gray carpet, white walls, and modern abstract paintings on both sides. There were a few green plants dotted in the corners, but they were placed in a messy manner, without rules, and without Feng Shui.

Brightlight's boardroom was located at the end of the corridor, and faint conversations came from a dark wood door.

"Mr. Faulkner is here."

"Good morning, Chairman."

"That's him? He doesn't look that good."

"Chinese... I heard that Faulkner invited him to a private party?"

As soon as Lin Fang entered the room, he heard several executives whispering in English. Although their voices were not loud, they could not hide the doubt and contempt in their tone.

His expression did not change, but he just glanced around.

Faulkner stood up, with a warm look on his face: "Mr. Lin, welcome, please sit down."

Lin Fang nodded, took steady steps, and sat on the east side of the conference table. That position is exactly the "Zhen Palace", which is the main opening and movement direction. He obviously knew it by heart.

"I called everyone here today to listen to Mr. Lin's views on the Feng Shui of our company building." Faulkner got straight to the point, and was interrupted by a voice as soon as he finished speaking.

"Evan, I always thought you believed in logic and capital, not metaphysics and fortune-telling." The man's tone was full of contempt and ridicule. He was wearing a gray suit and had a confident smile on his face. He was obviously a powerful figure in Brightlight.

"Tom." Faulkner said calmly, "In the case of our business being hit by a series of misfortunes, I am willing to try everything possible."

"Then please, sir..., tell me what you think." Tom turned to Lin Fang and squinted his eyes, as if he was looking at a charlatan.

Lin Fang remained calm and slowly took out an exquisite copper compass from his bag, placed it steadily on the table, and gently rotated it.

The conference room was in an uproar.

"What is this?"

"Compass?"

"No way, are you really playing this trick?"

Lin Fang was unmoved and tapped his fingers on the table three times. The sound was not loud, but there was a rhythm.

Then, he said calmly: "The recent problem of your company is not the economy, nor the team, but - unstable power and backlash of aura."

Everyone was stunned, only Faulkner nodded slightly in thought.

"Be more specific." Tom sneered.

Lin Fang stood up and slowly walked to the French window of the conference room. He pointed to the roof of a building not far away and said indifferently: "The building opposite you has an iron tower on the top. Have you noticed it?"

Everyone turned their heads to look, and immediately there was a lot of discussion.

"That's the headquarters of 'Talon Capital'!"

"Yes, they just finished it last month..."

Lin Fang chuckled: "The top of the tower is facing the direction of your main building, which is a 'sword to the throat', which is a strong suppression of you. Your main entrance faces south, and the fire is strong. Now the fire is cut by the wind, the aura is broken, and the main body is in discord, disputes, and confrontations among the top leaders."

Faulkner nodded silently: "It's true."

Lin Fang continued: "The black eagle sculpture in the hall, with its beak pointing directly at the top, is a 'clash with the main building', and the tower is superimposed, which means that the main position is constantly under attack. According to the Feng Shui of our great China, this is a sign of 'chaos above and shock below, and backlash of luck'. Within half a year, if you don't adjust, you will lose three core executives."

As soon as these words came out, the conference room exploded.

Tom's eyes also changed. He stopped mocking and said in a deep voice: "What's your suggestion?"

Lin Fang responded calmly: "Change the eagle, break the tower, and adjust the door."

"Change the eagle?" Faulkner frowned, "That's the company logo."

"It doesn't need to be changed. But it needs to turn. The eagle head faces the southeast side of the wealth position, gathering wealth and defending, and no longer hurting the owner."

"Breaking the tower is unrealistic, that's not our building." Tom frowned.

"Then adjust your door." Lin Fang said calmly, "The door faces southwest, attracts the wind of Xun, and stabilizes the internal movement. Hang the Bagua mirror outside the door to counteract the tower evil; set up the Three Mountains Bronze Tripod in the southeast corner to calm the situation."

"Your statement... is really useful?" The female assistant finally couldn't help but speak.

Lin Fang smiled and didn't answer. He took out a small Bagua mirror from his bag, the mirror surface was slightly shining, pressed a cinnabar talisman paper on it, and placed it in the southeast corner of the conference table.

Everyone's eyes were attracted. The next second, a lamp on the ceiling of the conference room that had been flickering for years made a soft "puff" sound, and after a few flickers, the light actually stabilized.

Faulkner was surprised: "This lamp... We checked it three times last month, and they all said that there was no problem with the circuit."

Lin Fang looked calm, put away the mirror, picked up the compass: "Small game and shallow effect, big game and prosperous fortune. You can try it for three days, and then decide whether to adopt my strategy."

After that, he walked out of the conference room without looking back.

Around the conference table, everyone stopped talking. They looked at Lin Fang's back as he left, and for the first time, their eyes were no longer suspicious, but... awe.
