Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 {Rosemary Winslow}

Arwen lay on the bed, her body aching and bruised. Ye Shufen was gone, leaving her alone with her thoughts and her tears. She curled into a ball, hugging her knees to her chest, as the reality of what had happened sank in.

She had been violated, used, and discarded like a toy. The man she had cooked for, the man she had briefly seen as human, had shown his true colors. He was a monster, a demon in human form.

As the hours passed, Arwen's anger began to simmer beneath the surface of her pain. She wiped her tears, her eyes hardening with resolve. She would not let this break her. She would not be a victim forever.

She sat up, ignoring the soreness in her body. She had to escape, had to find a way out of this hell. She couldn't stay here, couldn't let Ye Shufen continue to use her as he pleased.

She stood, her legs shaking slightly, and began to search the room for anything that might help her. She wouldn't give up.

"Lady Arwen here is food, General Ye said you can out if you wish," Zhang Ming said Arwen looked up her eyes were slightly narrowed but she did not say anything she pressed her lips together maybe going out and see more of China would make her feel better she is a doctor herself she understands her own emotions better than anyone else at this moment she feel like she is about to fall into depression.

Arwen hesitated, her gaze flicking between Zhang Ming and the door. The temptation to escape, even for a moment, was almost irresistible. She needed air, needed to feel the sun on her face and the wind in her hair. She needed to remind herself that there was a world beyond these walls, beyond Ye Shufen's control.

"Fine," she said finally, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside her.

"I'll go."

She stood, smoothing down her rumpled clothes. She couldn't bear to wear the clothes Ye Shufen had bought her, so she settled for a simple pair of jeans and a tshirt from her own belongings.

Shanghai was a beautiful city she walked around the place and went to a cafe she sat down as she held on the milkshake in her hands her mind was wondering too much she closed her eyes as she slowly yawned. She grabbed the birth control pills and took them she did not want to get pregnant with any of Ye Shufen kids.

Arwen sat there for a long moment she liked the strawberry shortcake she put it in her mouth she found tears streaming down she came to China to see the world who knew this would happen to her. At that moment she heard annoying voice it was her cousin.

"Arwen where have you been?" Rose asked as she acted as if she cared.

"I didn't know China allowed thief's to walk around," Arwen said with a smirk as she took a sip of her milkshake.

"You!" Rose said. Rose was the same age as Arwen but many of the Winslow family moved to China when she was about 7 years old but every year they would go to America and Rose had always been jealous of Arwen she isn't even blood related but the elders like her so much but not only that Arwen has a really bad temper. When she was five years old she beat up an adult paralyzing him. She was also able to send that person in prison she is a cold blooded person. She hated her for being able to date a handsome man like Xavier but she was able to steal Xavier away from her almost two years ago.

"What are you angry."

"No Rose I just think you are a barking dog," Arwen said and walked out of the cafe. the fact she wasn't even blood related to the Winslow was even worse. The elders know her temper and she always got the worst grades yet she got into the best top universities across the world.

Rose's face flushed with anger as Arwen walked away. She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms. How dare Arwen speak to her like that? She was the one who had stolen Xavier, who had ruined her life!

She stormed out of the cafe, her eyes scanning the street for any sign of Arwen. She spotted her up ahead, walking with a confident stride. Rose quickened her pace, determined to confront her.

"Arwen!" she shouted, her voice shrill.

"You think you're so much better than me, don't you? With your perfect grades and your perfect looks. But you're nothing. You're just a thief, a liar, a"

She broke off as Arwen spun around, her eyes flashing with a cold fury that made Rose's blood run cold. Arwen took a step towards her, her voice low and dangerous.

"Listen carefully, Rose," she said, her tone deadly calm.

"I don't care about you, or your petty jealousy. I have never lived in China most of the Winslow family moved to China when that accident happened abandoning my father who became blind! If it wasn't the fact I worked hard and got a medical master who taught me everything my father would have been blind. I took the blame for many things! We know how bad my temper can get and who cross my bottom line, I dare to go near my family, I dare to go near Jiang Lili I will choke you to death," Arwen said her voice was icy and cold. She was so angry with everything that happened to her in the past five days she felt exhausted and tired! She has only been in China almost a week and she already feels like burning the world!

Rose stumbled back, her eyes wide with fear. She had never seen Arwen like this, never heard her speak with such venom. It was as if the girl she had known, the girl she had envied and hated, had been replaced by a stranger.

"You... you're insane," Rose stammered, her voice trembling.

"You're just a jealous, bitter girl who can't stand to see others happy."

Arwen's laugh was cold and mirthless.

"Happy? Rosemary Winslow let me tell you something, I am not in a good mood today what do you want to say?" Arwen said.

"Fine where this a wedding invitation," Rose said with a smirk. Arwen eyes narrowed she felt hurt since the man she first love is getting married but she felt her pain in and walked away she walked for so long she sat at the park and she looked at the sky.
