Chapter 40 - Threads of the End, Swords of Forever

Chapter 10: "Threads of the End, Swords of Forever"

The world no longer held meaning.

In the skies of the Fifth Origin Realm, a place no longer bound by rules of mortality or gods, two figures stood atop an endless sea of flowing time—threads of every possible fate twisting, converging, unraveling, and weaving again under their feet.

Jian. Frostveil.

But she was no longer the Frostveil he knew.

Her body, once radiant with gentle soul energy, now blazed with pulsating veins of crimson divinity and spectral blue. Her eyes bled silver threads, every blink syncing with the collapse and rebirth of thousands of timelines. She was her future self, completely fused with her current form, no longer anchored to morality, empathy, or restraint.

"Frostveil," Jian whispered, gripping his sword—not with fear, but with sorrow. "Why did it come to this?"

She did not answer immediately. Her voice, when it came, echoed with countless selves:

"You are the anomaly. I was meant to become destruction itself—to collapse the gods, reshape the fates. But you... you chose to love me instead."

The skies split as her Fate-Soul Destruction Dao merged. She lifted her palm, and time cried.

Round One: Destiny Collapse

She sent 12 billion fate threads at Jian, each one representing a version of him dying in a unique universe. One was stabbed as a boy. One was erased from time. One was abandoned by Frostveil.

Jian activated his Soul-Forged Sword Anchor, a fusion of Sword Dao and his own soul that spanned all dimensions. The Anchor pulsed, and the fate threads began to burn.

"You showed me I could live," he said, raising his sword. "I'll show you you're not just a weapon."

They clashed.

Round Two: Core Severance

Frostveil's future self unsheathed her Eternal Scythe, crafted from the death of a million future selves. One swing severed entire laws. She cleaved through willpower, emotion, meaning. Jian's sword cracked.

But Jian, anchoring his being to all of existence, summoned the will of The Infinite Realms. He tapped into the Conceptual Sword of All-That-Lives, and his strikes began rewriting the very causality of the battle.

Every cut he made rewrote destiny: a version where Frostveil didn't fall, a timeline where gods never rose, a past where mortals ruled.

Round Three: Revelation Implosion

Frostveil screamed, and with it, unleashed the Collapse of Revelation, where knowledge became weapon. She threw raw understanding at Jian—making him know the pain of every soul she had sacrificed.

Jian knelt.

His anchor trembled.

Then he stood.

"I accept it all. I still choose you."

His sword became truth itself.

Final Round: Lovers That Transcend Cosmos

Jian and Frostveil fought as time and space became threads on their battlefield. Each move from her destroyed a law of reality. Each counter from him restored hope.

Stars blinked out. New ones were born. Multiverses collapsed and were reborn. At one point, they were fighting inside a memory. Another moment, inside a black hole.

Frostveil screamed, "STOP LOVING ME!"

"I never started," Jian whispered. "I always did."

He stepped forward.

His final strike did not aim to kill. It aimed to remind.

He tapped her heart with the hilt of his sword.

The fate threads unraveled.

Her future self wept.

She fell into his arms.

Peace returned.

Epilogue: The New Loom

The heavens quieted. The gods were dead. The cycle ended.

Jian and Frostveil stood atop the Loom of Creation, weaving a new world—one without gods, but with the memory of war, love, and sorrow. They watched new lives bloom.

He kissed her forehead.

"No more battles."

"No more gods."

Just a new world.

Author's Final Note:

To all who walked this journey—thank you.

Here are the final scans and feats:

Jian's Soul-Forged Anchor resisted complete timeline erasure and reboot.

Frostveil's Fate-Soul Destruction bypassed all immortality types (Types 1-5 confirmed), capable of destroying gods at conceptual and narrative levels.

Battle took place in Fifth Origin Realm, which is outside time, space, and all stacked dimensions. Combat happened across at least 12,000 layers of reality.

Frostveil and Jian jointly rewrote the Loom of Creation—a feat only ever attributed to the original Prime Creator.

This is the end of Volume 2.

But only the beginning… of memory.

—Author note: I will not be finishing "the path rejected me now I forge my own heaven". That's dead I'm working on a new novel and it will be my full dedication.
