Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Blood and Thunder Clash

Spirit Blossom Orb, Healing Ritual

Gazing at Bai Su Mei's angelic face, her long lashes trembling, her soft, ruby lips enveloping his length, Lan An tenderly stroked her silken silver hair.

Slurp, slurp.

Her delicate tongue swirled around his hardened shaft, tending to it like a priceless treasure.

"You're wronged by this," Lan An murmured, his heart aching. She served him selflessly to aid another woman's union.

Bai Su Mei's voice echoed in his mind: "I'm overjoyed, Master. Without you, I wouldn't be here. Ji Bing needs you more now."

Lan An's heart swelled. Heaven hadn't been unkind, granting him this world and these women—each his cherished treasure.

Sensing his peak hardness, Bai Su Mei's cheeks puffed, her lips releasing his glistening shaft. She rose, approaching Ji Bing's form, gently parting her slender, ivory legs to reveal her flushed, slick intimacy, its rosy folds beckoning exploration.

"Master, enter her. I'll assist," Bai Su Mei smiled, gesturing to Ji Bing's inviting entrance.

Facing the comatose beauty's alluring intimacy, Lan An knew the moment had come.

His shaft, slick with Bai Su Mei's saliva, aligned with Ji Bing's drenched folds.

With a thrust of his hips, he surged forward.

Squelch.

A faint sound echoed as her maiden barrier tore, a trickle of virgin blood trailing down her soft thigh.

Ji Bing's body quivered, her willow brows furrowing, yet no moan escaped her lips.

Lan An's pleasure surged, her tight, silken walls gripping him, their slick warmth drawing a contented hum from him.

But seeing Ji Bing's faint response, he frowned. Her soul's severe damage dulled even her first union, her body reacting instinctively—flushed skin, hardened peaks, and a clasping intimacy—yet lacking conscious passion.

Feeling their intimate connection, Lan An closed his eyes, his soul force probing her spirit, seeking her injury's core.

Moments later, his brows knit tighter, his handsome face darkening. Ji Bing's soul was perilously faint, teetering on collapse, saved only by the jade bed's nurturing. Her state was far graver than Yan Ruo's had been.

No more hesitation. Lan An mobilized his full soul force, channeling it through their joined bodies into her.

Invading another's soul was perilous. If resisted, two outcomes loomed:

If Lan An's soul outpowered hers, he could devour her spirit to boost his strength or enslave her as a puppet.

If their souls matched and she fought fiercely, both would suffer devastating mutual harm.

But Ji Bing's soul, frail to the extreme, offered no resistance, and Lan An had no intent to harm her.

Wait…

A chilling realization hit, his face turning grim, fury igniting within.

"Correct. She was forcibly soul-probed, injured in her resistance. Her foe's soul was stronger, leaving her the loser," Jin'er confirmed his grim suspicion.

"Damn it, who did this?" Lan An cursed inwardly. Though this foe's act led him to the sisters, Ji Bing's suffering enraged him.

Lan An fiercely protected his own. Ji Bing was his woman now—her assailant would die.

But anger could wait. Healing was urgent.

Inhaling deeply, Lan An's soul fully entered Ji Bing's body, their intimate bond unbroken. Ancient scriptures etched on his soul glowed, channeling soul force to her fading spirit.

"Immortal Genesis Scripture – Soul Refinement."

Unlike devouring others' souls, Lan An now fed his soul force to Ji Bing's, letting her absorb it.

Their nude forms entwined, one atop the other, the healing began…

Beside them, Bai Su Mei opened a manual—the Heart Unity Sword Art Lan An had given her—starting her study.

Outside Ling Wu City, Hidden Cave

In a cave near Ling Wu City, a gaunt old man meditated, his face steeped in malice. Around him lay three withered corpses, their faces frozen in terror, victims of unspeakable horrors.

This was Xue Chang, Third Elder of Blood Spirit Sect.

Stuck at Mid Void Refinement for ages, Xue Chang seized every chance to break through. He'd come to the auction for Heaven-Grade items, but the mysterious coffin caught his eye.

With centuries of experience, few things impressed Xue Chang, yet the coffin eluded his understanding, stirring both joy and fear. He coveted it, hoping it held the key to his breakthrough.

While Fan Kong had left impatiently, Xue Chang lingered, hidden, certain Lan An couldn't stay in Ling Wu City forever.

Savoring the last traces of three Nascent Soul cultivators' blood essence, Xue Chang smacked his lips.

Suddenly, silently, the void split.

A shadowy, cloaked figure emerged, ghostly and swift, their palm surging with boundless spiritual energy, striking at Xue Chang's head.

A Void Refinement expert wasn't so easily ambushed.

"Who dares?" Xue Chang roared, fury erupting. No one had attacked him since his breakthrough a millennium ago. Sensing the palm's formidable power, his face shifted. His body warped, dissolving into blood mist, deftly evading.

BOOM.

The missed strike collapsed the cave, reducing the mountain to dust.

In Ling Wu City, countless experts sensed the tremor, faces paling as they rushed to witness the spectacle.

"A Void Refinement battle?" City Lord Muo Heng's face grew grave. A Spirit Transformation expert like him dared not interfere, observing silently.

Amid the dust, Xue Chang's battered form emerged, pursued by the cloaked figure in black.

"Hmph, think I'm a rat? Blood Yin Claw!" Xue Chang snarled, his withered hand rising, blood mist condensing into razor-sharp claws slashing at the figure.

Facing Xue Chang's fierce assault, the cloaked figure remained calm, a blazing flame shield enveloping them.

"Fire Spirit Root?" Xue Chang's face twisted. Blood cultivators like him dreaded corrosive, destructive elements.

As expected, the Blood Yin Claw struck the flames, dissipating into vapor, not touching a hair on the figure.

"Blood Spirit Sect indeed, relying on blood essence over innate spirit roots," the figure mused. The sect's reliance on blood-devouring techniques weakened their elemental mastery.

"Who are you?" Xue Chang demanded, unable to identify the assailant.

"You're unworthy to know," the figure rasped. "Blazing Prison Cage!"

Before Xue Chang could retort, flames roared, their heat scorching heaven and earth, forming a massive cage descending to trap him.

"Trouble!" Xue Chang's face darkened. His keen eyes recognized this Earth-Grade skill—entrapment meant death or severe injury.

"Blood Body Instant Shadow."

As the fiery cage neared, Xue Chang bit his lip, hands weaving seals. His body exploded into blood mist, scattering and vanishing.

Outside the cage, the mist reformed into Xue Chang, paler and frailer, his body visibly weakened.

"You forced me!" Xue Chang's face contorted with malice, realizing his foe's superior strength rendered normal tactics useless.

Biting his tongue, he spat a drop of true blood, his voice venomous: "Blood Seal Curse."

The blood drop merged with mist, forming a mystical curse seal, speeding toward the figure.

"Hmph, petty tricks," the figure sneered, flames forming a river to engulf the seal.

"Dream on!" Xue Chang laughed coldly. The Blood Seal Curse, a Supreme Earth-Grade technique, drained its target's blood to empower the caster, at the cost of true blood.

Indeed, the flames couldn't burn the seal, which pressed forward.

"Shatter!" the figure bellowed. Dark clouds gathered, a thunderbolt striking the seal.

CRACK.

"How? A Thunder Spirit Root?" Xue Chang screamed, panic surging. His foe wielded another root—the most destructive Thunder element.

The seal shattered under the thunder's dominance, backlash forcing Xue Chang to spew blood.

"Flee!" Xue Chang abandoned combat, his foe too formidable.

"Escape?" The figure sneered. "Thunder Shakes Nine Heavens."

"Another Earth-Grade skill? Damn it, who is this?" Xue Chang's fear peaked.

Dual domineering spirit roots and high-grade skills—Xue Chang hadn't crossed such a foe, yet they hunted him relentlessly.

No time to think. Thunder roared, dark clouds blanketing the sky, casting half the city in shadow. Void Refinement power was cataclysmic.

Onlookers trembled, fleeing back to the city.

"Elders of Duo Bao, protect us!" Muo Heng soared, pleading toward Duo Bao Pavilion.

"City Lord, rest easy. They'll spare the city," Lạc Bi appeared, calming the crowd. Inwardly, she mused, "Such fury for a boy?" Smirking, she recognized the figure.

Thunder loomed over Xue Chang, poised to strike.

"Blood Shield Protection!" Xue Chang, ashen-faced, summoned a blood-red shield from his storage ring—a Lower Earth-Grade artifact. It expanded, guarding his frail form.

"Futile resistance!" The figure scoffed, recalling Xue Chang's threats to Lan An, fury flaring. They swung their arm down.

Thunderbolts rained down ferociously.

BOOM, BOOM.

After several strikes, the shield dimmed, finally shattering.

"AAH! Grand Elder, save me!" Xue Chang, struck by lightning, crushed a blood-marked token in desperation.

"Hmph! Harm my Blood Spirit Sect? You court death!" An ancient voice thundered, a Late Void Supreme's aura shaking the city.

Space tore open, a giant withered hand seizing the dying Xue Chang. Another formed a massive Blood Claw, lunging at the figure.

Facing this, the figure grew solemn. Void Refinement's tiered realms were vast; the Grand Elder was no trifling foe.

The figure raised both hands—one wreathed in dancing flames, the other crackling with wild lightning.

The hands merged, a new force emerged—fire and thunder fused.

A blazing orb laced with lightning spun in their palm, hurled at the giant hand.

BOOM.

The collision unleashed a cataclysmic roar, rupturing ears citywide. The Blood Claw disintegrated, space trembling.

"Thunder fused with fire? Evil Emperor's legacy? Ice Mysterious Empire won't forgive you! Blood Spirit Sect will hunt you down!" The voice roared with venom.

The spatial tear sealed, the threat retreating.

Only the cloaked figure remained, hovering like a god descended, untouchable.

"Pity, my mastery's lacking, or Xue Chang would've died," they muttered, vanishing with a flicker.

Lạc Bi, before Duo Bao Pavilion, stared, whispering, "Thunder-Fire Mysterious Art? Where did she learn that?"
