CHAPTER TEN
SIENNA'S POV
If I had no choice, I could make a rule.
He was right, I could not sleep on the streets and I had nowhere else to go. I was stuck with him, which was quite unfortunate.
I happened to be very unfortunate today; it was a bad day for me. I had never expected something like this to happen. Mother's wedding was enough to drive me insane, but what?
I was going to be fucking living with the one person I hated most in the whole world. The last man I would ever think of staying with, even for a day.
But here I was! In a fucking messed-up situation.
I had to go to sleep, eat, wake, and do practically everything under the same roof with no other person than my worst enemy, Theo Sinclair.
I knew it was pointless trying to argue and tell him. It was an insane thing to do when I was still going to live here with him.
I thought about it for a moment and I just had to go mute and let him lead me to the room. I was lost in thought and had no idea when we got there until he spoke and was just about to leave.
I knew I had no choice. I literally had nothing else to do except stay, even if the thought of it made me so pissed and irritated that I thought I would gag.
Yes, I had no choice, but that doesn't mean I could not make my rules or probably make a deal that could favor us both since we were both enemies.
"Let's make a deal." The words found their way out of my mouth even before I could think about it completely.
I was not even sure yet if I was ready to speak out, but the words had already left my mouth long before I could make that decision.
The room suddenly turned cold the moment the words left my mouth. He stopped dead in his tracks and I could feel my heart racing the moment he turned to look at me.
His eyes, laced with curiosity, gazed at me and his lips curved into a smirk as he let out a soft chuckle.
"What did you just say?" His husky voice sent shivers down my spine and I gulped hard.
There was sudden dryness in my throat and I felt a lump form in my throat the moment he stepped towards me. I swallowed hard and lowered my gaze before speaking.
"Let's make a deal." I muttered and chuckled lightly.
I wasn't the type to be intimidated by anyone, not even by Theo. He knew me too well—that I would never be intimidated by him. Probably that was why he hated me, but it was different this time around.
I just felt a little intimidated by him because I had to finally come to terms with him. I had never thought that Theo and I would come into any kind of agreement.
Not even in my dreams had I dreamt of making peace with this jerk, but if I was going to live here with him, then I had to fucking make sure we both behaved like civilized humans.
We had to both be on a safer side and nothing more. Our hate for each other still remained, or could probably even grow because I was sure seeing him every day would make that possible.
"And what is the deal? Don't tell me you do some weird stuff and I have to join you now because you would be living with me?" He teased and I frowned.
"That was not funny, dude." I stared at him, bored of his fucking games. I had actually thought he would be serious, but like always, he takes me as a joke.
"Fine! What deal are we making now?" He responded, his face turning back to the most serious and reasonable human you would ever meet.
"Since we are going to be living together, then we need to come to an agreement." I answered and he scoffed.
"So you had finally agreed to live here with me? Why the heck was all the fuss for in the first place?" He scoffed nonchalantly and my frown deepened.
What the heck was his problem? Does he really try to infuriate me at any chance he gets?
Although I was pissed off, I took it all in. I said nothing but continued what I was saying.
"We both need to promise never to step on anyone's toes." I responded and he scoffed.
"What if I don't agree with you? What if I love to step on your toes?"
His voice, husky and cold, sent strange warmth to my body as his eyes glittered with nothing but mischief.
The way his lips curved into a devilish smile that for some weird reason made my heart flutter—it was crazy to say, but he looked very sexy.
Yes, he was doing this to piss me off, but I was pissed and fucking seduced by him all at the same time. It was going to be a hellish experience living with this demon.
It hadn't even been up to an hour with him and I hated it here already—and things were only going to get worse. I was sure of that.
"Stop being adamant!" I warned, though my voice was barely above a whisper.
It was strange that it was suddenly hard for me to articulate clearly, but I shoved it off, focusing on the pair of eyes looking at me.
"I won't agree to stop getting you angry. That is the only reason I'm letting you live with me." He confessed.
There was no sign of remorse in his voice. I was fucking sure that he wasn't joking about what he said.
I just could not believe my ears. It was the most shocking thing I had heard throughout today—I had gone through a whole lot, but this was just the height of it.
He had to be fucking kidding me!
"What?" I scoffed. I was thrown into an extreme state of confusion.
