Chapter 8 - Nah, gacha copycat squara

Upon hearing those words from Damian, Alfred's eyes widened slightly barely noticeable, but it was there. His fingers twitched once, as he assisted the situation at hand.

What secret? His mind raced, scanning through possibilities. Did Damian know about last night? Had someone seen something? Or was this just a bluff an attempt to provoke a reaction and confirm a suspicion?

He turned his head slowly, fixing Damian with a neutral expression, calm on the outside but internally, he was already preparing for the worst.

"…What secret, huh?" Alfred replied in a low, even tone, just loud enough for Damian to hear. His eyes remained half-lidded, feigning indifference.

But inside, alarms were blaring. If he showed even a flicker of emotion, it could give Damian exactly what he wanted. He couldn't let that happen.

Play dumb. Stay calm. Don't feed it they have nothing on you yet. Alfred thought as Whatever Damian thought he knew it couldn't be about last night. It had to be something else. It had to be.

Leaning in even closer, Damian narrowed his eyes and whispered, "Well, that you're the one who started the fight on the playground last week and send those kids to the infernally will putting all the blame on the child"

Alfred blinked at him. A moment of silence passed as his expression twisted into a mix of tired confusion and mild irritation trying to recall the event, he was taking about.. Then he let out a long, exasperated sigh.

"Seriously? That's it?"

Then he sighed again. A long, heavy sigh.

"Fuck… I got worried for no goddamn reason," he thought, already feeling the tension in his shoulders deflate.

"Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't," he muttered, voice thick with exhaustion. "Are you going to report me to the teacher, or can I just sleep now?"

Without waiting for a reply, Alfred dropped his head back onto the desk.

He was done.

He was running on fumes and he was counting on getting at least a few minutes of rest before all of them where taken to the field trip to the one of the Wanye industries.

Damian stared at Alfred for a few seconds in silence before turning and walking away from his table.

"This is where Wayne Industries manufactures its smartphones one of our most advanced and secure product lines," the woman leading the field trip said with rehearsed enthusiasm. She gestured to the assembly line behind the glass, her voice echoing slightly in the massive factory space."Wayne Industries develops a wide range of technologies that power Gotham and beyond…"

Alfred trailed near the back of the group, eyes half-lidded, hands in his pockets.

'This is boring… as hell I should've sent a clone. Ugh why did I think this might be interesting? Stupid, optimistic, old me.'

He sighed internally as the group was shuffled into yet another section of the facility, the guide still deep in her overly-rehearsed corporate monologue.

Alfred had long since tuned her out.

Instead, he kept his sharp eyes busy counting the number of exits, mapping camera placements, and noting the positions of any security personnel. It was far more interesting than listening to a breakdown of smartphone assembly lines. Besides, this was Gotham and in Gotham, anything could happen at any time.

Including sudden death.Which, frankly, he wasn't in the mood for today.

His mind briefly wandered to how Batman or more accurately, Bruce Wayne would've secured a place like this. this was a Home turf advantage, after all. Wayne Enterprises was practically a part of batman but with a public face.

Even on a school trip, Alfred's behavior refused to relax. He scanned the area not out of paranoia, but out of sheer practical curiosity.

You never knew who might come crashing through the ceiling in this city.

As he walked along with the group, Alfred discreetly opened his gacha system and checked the available pulls. A wide grin formed on his face, which he quickly covered with his hand. The sudden burst of happiness was all because of the number of pulls he had — six full pulls.

He had planned to use them yesterday, but had completely forgotten. So now? Now was the perfect time. What harm could it do? , this trip was

Alfred glanced around to make sure no one was paying attention before selecting "Pull All" and tapping the screen.

[Ihaw – Hero Killer]

"F**k yes!" Alfred thought, eyes lighting up with joy.This. This was exactly the kind of overpowered character he loved a brutal, merciless copycat. His absolute favorite kind.

[All For One – My Hero Academia]

"No f**king way… Is this my lucky day?" Alfred grinned wide, clutching his chest in mock joy. "Two S-rank pulls in one go?! YES!"

[Taewon Kim – Player]

"Oh, all the copycats are coming home now. Yes, come to your daddy," he whispered under his breath, chuckling.

[Pastis – Player]

" another player character ,The brain of the operation. The man who beat Dean twice in rock-paper-scissors," Alfred muttered to himself, his smile turning sly. "Not the most powerful… but clever. And sometimes, that's way more dangerous."

[One Tomoe Sharingan – Naruto] (Pair, unused)

Two small, glowing tomoe Sharingan eyes appeared in his inventory.

"Interesting," he murmured.

[Random C&*^&% Ta&^% Ticket – #0 Days]

"Huh?"Alfred blinked. The item name was glitched static symbols, corrupted text, and a countdown timer that made no sense.

A sudden tightness built in his chest. Something about this item was… wrong.

He knew he should leave it alone. Wait. Observe. Be careful. and check it on when he was at a safe space That was the smart move.

But another part of him the curious, reckless part was practically screaming to summon it and see what the hell it was.

"…Yeah. What the hell," he muttered.

He looked around. The group was still distracted by the corporate tour.

"miss can I go to the restroom," he said to the teacher, already slipping awa before the teacher could response.

Inside the quiet bathroom, Alfred locked the stall behind him.He reached into his inventory and summoned the glitched ticket.

It appeared instantly shifting colors. Alfred's eyes widened.

What the hell is this ticket-like thing?

Before he could even blink, the ticket pulsed and a swirling blue-black vortex opened beneath his hand.

"What the—?!"

His arm was pulled into the void with terrifying force.Alfred's eyes widened in panic as he struggled to break free.

"Shit—!"

But the black hole didn't care.It dragged him in — completely.

And just like that… he vanished.
