The next day happened, and the only reason I knew was because I got a common skill [Clock]. I got it yesterday after World's Voice analyzed some of my memories then used those same memories to create a skill that operates like a clock. Apparently, this world follows the same clock my previous world does so I was lucky.
Haha. Didn't know Klaus is a messy sleeper. He's clinged to me too... It's kind of adorable but I have to prepare for the battle. Phew. Good thing he didn't wake up when I pushed his legs and arms away from me. Nice to know he's also a heavy sleeper.
Ooh... He has a bathroom? Good thing I'm a nosy person and likes to explore when curious or else I wouldn't be able to take a bath. I like bathing, water pouring down on my body whether it's cold or warm. Truly a refreshing activity I enjoy everyday.
It's only seven in the morning so it should be fine even if I take a long bath. I should probably take a look inside the bathroom.
Minimalistic design but it's a huge bathroom, wow. There's a huge bathtub or a jacuzzi? We didn't have one so I don't know but that jacuzzi can probably fit ten people.
Hmm. I'm curious about these things in the side of the jacuzzi, they're fire magic circles and put there so there should be a purpose why. Can you analyze them for me, World's Voice?
{Fulfilling request...} {Analyzing...} {Success.}
{The analyzed are two fire magic circles. Their purpose is to change the temperature of the hot tub.}
{The left magic circle reduces the heat.}
{The right magic circle increases the heat.}
{Simply input mana in either magic circles for them to activate.}
Whoa! That's amazing. The right magic circle glowed. I tried touching the water from the hot tub and it was warm. I basically plunged myself into that hot tub for twenty minutes.
After that I checked out the shower. There's a shower head above me but instead of connected to a pipe, it has a water magic circle. In front of me there's also three magic circles, two fire ones at each side centering the water one.
Based on the analysis World's Voice gave me, I simply inputted my mana into the water magic circle and the magic circle at the shower head generated water. The two fire ones also function the same as the ones in the hot tub. It felt nice showering again for the first time, and since I always took so long enjoying the bath, it was another twenty minutes till I was done.
There's clothes in this bathroom... Did they prepare for me and Klaus? Because these clothes look like they fit me and Klaus.
I don't understand the clothing of this world but since I'm here I should wear clothes appropriate for this world.
A white polo, black vest, black pants, black socks, and black shoes. Hmm, I wear these kinds of clothes except the vest so it's familiar and I like wearing clothes that make me look attractive.
Just as I finished putting the clothes on, I was greeted by Klaus.
"I thought I'd find you here, Master. Did you like my bath?" he asked energetically.
"Yes, I love it very much." I responded.
"I'm so glad to hear that. By the way, there's going to be breakfast later, it's going to start at eight in the morning." Klaus informed me.
"Huh... Is that so? Isn't that weird?" I asked, confused.
"Don't worry, Master. It's not weird at all, it's not like they're fighting you out of hate, or maybe they are? But breakfast is a thing we usually had before I was sealed and I was just informed by the maid that there's going to be breakfast." Klaus explained.
"I see. If you say so, Klaus. Then I'll trust you." I replied.
"Are you going to take a bath soon?" I asked Klaus.
"Yes, master. I would have liked to have it with you though." he said as the volume of his voice changed.
Whisper, huh? I have an enhanced sense of hearing so that didn't work on me but he's probably joking so I'll just brush it off.
After Klaus finished his bath, we were escorted by maids to the dining room. The design was expected, red and black scheme.
A long table consisting of twenty-one seats, ten seats each from both sides and one seat at the very beginning of the table. An obvious seat for Klaus.
The seven are already here. They must be waiting for Klaus to sit. Before anyone offers anything, I insisted on sitting at the left side of the table because I didn't want to sit at the chair for Klaus but Klaus wanted to sit beside me so he just sat beside me. After Klaus and I sat, the seven sat too at the right side facing us face to face.
Very awkward.
Red plates and black utensils. I'm still surprised that the colors of the things they own are red and black, hehe. They have normal transparent glass though.
One by one, the maids brought the food. Whoa. That's a huge... Ant?
"Delicacy of our kingdom, the Fire Ant, one of the strongest elemental monsters." Fara announced.
Hmm... That's the only food? It looks like it was toasted. Might be delicious, but then again I'm not really picky, which is how I got chubby.
The maids offered to place the meat of the ant onto my plate but was rejected by Klaus' offer of putting it himself. Of course, I thanked Klaus afterwards, I have manners.
I picked up the knife and fork, because of my love for food. I was extremely conscious about how I eat so I practiced eating elegantly and I'm about to see if it paid off.
Fork at my left hand, and knife at my right. Cutting down the meat smoothly and not making any sound while doing so. Let's see if this meat is delicious! It is my first introduction to this world's food so...
Okay... Taking a bite. Whoa. That's amazing, juicy, tender and toasted enough for my liking. I love this!
Huh? What's this... Why are they looking at me? Are they waiting for me to express some satisfaction or dissatisfaction? They probably couldn't read my face because of my poker face. I'm very satisfied though, I should probably tell them because their gazes are starting to make me uncomfortable.
"This is an amazing food. Thank you." I said with a comforting smile.
They immediately stopped staring at me and ate. I looked at Klaus and he just smiled at me, then I just went back to eating.
I was curious about the seven, and there's a lot you can tell about someone based on their actions and even by how they eat.
At the very first chair, in front of Klaus, Afentina. Normal amount of food in her plate, Knife in her left hand and fork in her right hand. Her poise is outstanding and she dines elegantly. She's not called the most attractive woman for no reason.
To her left, in front of me, Venris. Good posture and an expressive face of glee. He likes eating, huh. He does have a huge portion of meat on his plate. No utensils and eats using his hands but eats like in a very mannerful way.
Next chairs seat Fara, Slein, Orfus, Lust and Ava.
Fara dined with elegance, focus and silence. Way too silent that I kind of see her silence as dangerous. Most quiet people are dangerous so I wouldn't cross them. I'm quiet but I'm not dangerous at all, hehe. She's not looking at me but I have this feeling that she's acquiring information about me.
Slein had the least food on their plate and seemed uninterested in eating at all. A timid guy. He's lucky he has pretty eyes. He didn't seem timid that time when he spoke to Klaus though? Maybe he's generally timid but not to some people, because that's like me everyday.
A calm and composed posture. Normal food on his plate too. Orfus. I could tell by looking at him that he's strong but he's not stronger than Klaus.
A very sexual way of eating... Almost swallowing the fork, showcasing her sexual desire to mate and ability to do that. She's also making her breasts bounce... At least she's not looking at me when she does all that. Klaus seemed calm as if it's just another day for him. He's probably used to it.
A messy eater and a loud eater, Ava. She's like a child eating after playing outside except she's not tired but angry.
I can see why they're far away from Klaus. They're kind of weird at the dinner table.
After all of us finished eating the meat, they proceeded onto the dessert portion. The maids brought this fruit called darkberry.
"The native fruit of the demon kingdom, Darkberry." Fara added.
Dessert was served in a bowl filled with darkberry. Upon closely looking at it, I noticed it looked like grapes but colored black. I tried tasting one and it was really spicy.
{Adapting to spicy fruits...} {Success.} {"Spicy Fruits" is now listed in the skill index.}
Oh. So that's how it works? And that's a negative status? I have a resistance to it but is it possible to toggle it on or off? I want a spicy experience.
{It's possible.}
Yes! Alright, for now, turn it off. It's not like it hurts me anyways, I have a pain nullification skill.
I ate all of it fast and complimented the fruit.
After twenty minutes, breakfast was done. It surprised me to learn they have dessert for breakfast but realized that they're not humans and their appetites don't function the same.
Afterwards, the maids took all the plates, utensils, and glass, and I got up. "Can I be excused for a moment?" I asked everyone present.
"Of course. Master. I'll join you." Klaus responded.
Of course Klaus is going to agree so I turned to the seven to get an approval.
"O–Of course. The king has already approved so it is not in our authority to disagree." Fara explained, surprised.
"Maybe so. I just wanted to hear your thoughts, I can't pretend that you don't exist or else it'll be rude." I explained then left.
We went back into our room. I still haven't practiced what I was going to do but there was about three hours and forty minutes until the battle.
Klaus was relentless in always being by my side so I went into the shower so that I could practice what I was going to do at the battle.
Three hours and thirty five minutes passed and the battle was about to begin. Klaus escorted me outside the castle to see the arena surrounded by the castle's buildings.
At the beginning of the path to the center of the arena, I could see down here all the demons who came to spectate this battle. Demon men, women, and children are here to watch me fight the seven.
In the beginning, there were cheers as I walked up to the center of the arena. And after placing myself at the center, I knew what to do.
Visualize. An invisible light began at my hands, covering my whole body. I casted a layer of holy magic covering my magic in order to protect myself against the demons.
When I first practiced, I accidentally became a Sacred Dark Human. It's more demon-focused evolution, it's a species of demons capable of wielding holy magic and adapting to the holy element.
I also accidentally learned how to cast layered magic. It's like casting magic but the magic stacks making it more potent than it previously was.
A good example would be casting healing magic, normally the spell Heal won't be able to heal major wounds but if layered and stacked five times, it could.
The barrier covering my whole body is also layered and stacked by ten layers. I had two defense layers, my dark body that acts as the durable physical barrier and the holy magic that acts as a magical barrier.
For the whole five minutes, I stood still at the very center. Even when the battle began, I remained silent and let the seven attack me.
One by one they attacked me.
Orfus used his martial arts.
Lust transformed her hands into long sharp claws.
Afentina slashed me with her dagger.
Slein and Ava swinged their swords.
Venris and Fara both used fire magic and dark magic.
Each of their attacks failed to penetrate the defense I made and the defensive skill I have. No matter what they did, they were not doing anything to me.
But I did not utter a sound nor make a move even by the tiniest bit. I simply watched them as they attacked me. At first I was terrified they were attacking me but now that I have confirmed they can't do anything against me, I was relaxed.
All of them grew loud, frustrated and furious, not being able to even hurt me by a slightest. After two minutes of attacks from them, I knew it was my time to fight back, or rather, win.
With a snap, I instantly erected a small holy barrier, a three meter radius barrier. They immediately stopped all their attacks upon seeing the bright barrier in front of them.
It wasn't a physical barrier so anything can still pass through it but demons can't as it will disintegrate them instantly upon contact.
Orfus launched himself for a kick, only to fail after half of his leg disintegrated upon contact with the barrier. All of them became fearful of the barrier, they didn't dare to attack and go near it.
But too bad, it will come for them.
"Surrender now, or I'll expand this barrier until it covers the whole arena." I said calmly.
I hope they don't see through my bluff. There's no way I'd calmly commit genocide, I hate violence. It was a necessary move for me though. Classic psychological battles.
"Holy Field cannot be expanded further than five meter radius. We know you're bluffing." Fara boldly exclaimed.
Maybe so, but this is not the holy field, at least not the traditional one that they know, this is similar to a holy field but it is not entirely so I can expand it as long as I have the mana for it.
"You want to take that chance?" I arrogantly responded.
They were determined and believed it won't be expanded further so little by little, I expanded it.
After a few seconds, it covered the whole stage of the arena forcing them to jump and maintain a distance to it.
But second by second, it expanded until they were cornered and trapped at the seats where the spectators sat.
I kept expanding until it was about to reach the spectators but each of them yelled their surrender.
In a snap, the barrier vanished instantly. After they were defeated, they immediately jumped back to congratulate me of my win.
Orfus' right leg was gone but I was confident he'd be able to regenerate it back but I guess I was wrong. I'm more confident in his skills than my ability to heal him but this is a good opportunity to try my healing magic.
Klaus flew to get down here after the match and the seven and every spectators immediately knelt after his presence. Klaus dismissed them and all of them stood.
"Hey Orfus, I'm sorry about your leg but I think I can try to heal it. Do you mind?" I gently asked.
"Of course, sir." Orfus accepted.
Sir? Probably a result of another demon culture thing, I'll just overlook it.
My right arm reached out. My palm pointed at his injured leg. Visualize the regeneration of his feet. Then I uttered the word, "Heal."
His legs were immediately surrounded by green glow, and in a second, his leg immediately grew back to its original look.
"Does it feel good? Any weird feelings" I asked for assurance.
He stretched his regenerated leg. "Thank you, sir. It feels perfectly fine." he assured me.
"Do you now see why I am his servant?" Klaus declared.
His question didn't make sense to me. I don't have the necessary stuff to make a demon king such as Klaus to be a servant of mine. The seven nodded their agreement to his question though.
Nobody said a word after.
"Please follow us to the meeting room." Slein proposed.
Klaus and I silently followed as the seven and some maids led us there.
The maids opened the doors to the room revealing a throne from this point of view.
We entered the room and the seven stopped their movement after entering. I knew their silence implied for Klaus to sit in the room.
I'm not sure whether it's demon culture to wait for the king to sit or just their common behavior in these proceedings.
I was waiting for Klaus to sit only to find him standing still by my side.
"Please sit in that chair, Master." he whispered to me.
"Isn't that your seat? Can I decline?" I whispered back.
"It'll be fine. Also, I'll be very sad if you don't." his lowered voice spoke.
I'm weak against those words... As a people pleaser, it's very hard to decline people's requests fearing I would have disappointed them by doing so.
This is not the people we're talking about though. It's Klaus. Hmm... But should it be harder to decline because he's not like people? I like Klaus. I wouldn't want him to be upset, besides there's no harm in sitting in the chair, he asked me to anyway.
"Fine." I folded into his request.
I walked up to the throne and sat on it. No one seemed to make a sound nor objected when I did so, so I assumed it was fine. Having Klaus as a friend really pays off.
There were only eight chairs to be sat on. The throne for Klaus and the rest for the seven. They all immediately offered their seats to Klaus, only to be rejected by him.
"I'll stand by my master's side," he explained.
They looked defeated after being rejected by Klaus, I felt sorry for them but they immediately picked their faces up determined about something.
For a minute, I got to thinking. About the seven's skills, they seemed pretty weak, their attacks were barely piercing through my defenses.
Do they have an official title for them as a group of demons who serve under the demon king? That'd be pretty cool. Sin Council or Sin Generals would sound insanely awesome.
Hmm... Hey World's Voice, can you try to analyze to see if they have skills besides their sin-based skills?
{Analyzing...} {Success.}
That's weird. They don't have any skills except for their sin-based skill.
I have that skill that lets me see the mana capacity of others? World's Voice?
{Yes.} {[Demonic Eyes] allows you to see other people's mana by focusing your eyes onto them.}
Thanks! Good thing I have the World's Voice with me or else I wouldn't be able to recall things I didn't know I had. Consuming too much media left me with such a memory.
Let's try on Klaus first then the seven so I can use Klaus for contrast.
A five meter radius of black translucent energy flowing upwards.
The seven all had a two meter radius of black energy flowing upwards which is three meters less than Klaus. So, this is the difference between a king and his generals.
Is it possible to see my own mana?
{It might be possible.} {Switching to a third person perspective...} {Success.}
Whoa. That's pretty cool, I can see Klaus standing and me sitting. How does that even work? It doesn't matter as long as it works.
Even though I focused my eyes onto myself which did not make sense but I was able to see myself as if there were two versions of me and one is right in front of me looking at me but invisible.
I couldn't see my own mana. I guess the third person perspective worked but the chance of not seeing your mana in World's Voice "It might be possible" was higher.
Alright back to the first person perspective.
{Success.}
I didn't realize it was three minutes later that this room became extremely silent as if waiting for someone to make a sound.
"Uhm... Are you guys not starting this meeting?" I asked them.
"It's customary for us to wait until the king speaks." Fara spoke.
"Is that so?" I said to them,
"Aren't you going to speak?" I whispered to Klaus.
"Yes, master." Klaus whispered back.
"Begin this meeting." Klaus declared.
"Thank you, my king." Slein spoke.
"I'll be the speaker of this meeting tackling the reason why we sealed the demon king," he added.
"To start off. My skill [Sloth] can see future tragedies, ones devastating enough for me to see. I had a vision, a devastating one that prompted the seven of us to use our combined skill [Sin Prison] that creates a material perfect for sealing someone." he began.
A vision? I wonder what it is.
"The vision I saw was the death of the demon king. By the hands and his sword, the Angelic King." he added.
Aura released by Klaus as he heard the vision. "You sealed me for that?" he calmly spoke.
His tone is calm but his aura says otherwise. This is really contradictory behavior.
But isn't it just a vision, though? Future's not really absolute nor set in stone so there's a chance it might not happen.
No, wait. Based on the severity of the vision and their behavior towards learning about it, I'd deduct that Slein's vision clings toward more into higher percent accuracy which means the visions are likely to happen. If this logic is true then it makes sense they're acting this way instead of dismissive towards Klaus.
My skill [Justice] was able to tell that he was telling the truth and I'm sure Klaus' skill did so too.
For a thought, I thought it made sense that a demon king would be killed by someone like an angelic king because demons are angels are opposites of one another.
But I know that kind of difference isn't enough reason to commit murder just because they're polar opposites.
The demons aren't exactly naturally evil so it's not logical for angels to kill demons and vice versa.
Slein finished his story by concluding that the angels might wage a war that will incite the death of the demon king.
This was why they weren't able to obtain skills because they feared that the angels might attack and kill the demon king. They trained to be able to fight off the angels and sacrifice their lives along the way.
During the century when Klaus was sealed, they trained the army of demons. Unfortunately, all that training couldn't lead to results such as gaining a skill.
There was no justified reason to kill Klaus nor wage a war against the demons so I offered my help to them.
They were relieved to hear me offer to help them. I guess I gotta commit.
The meeting ended but I implored them to stay. I wanted to test something first. If it worked for me then it should replicate the same results it did.
In an instant, I casted a holy field inside the room making Klaus and the seven exposed to it. The anti-demonic properties were still there so I had to make sure the effect of it isn't going to hurt. So by layering it with healing magic, the pain and effects of the holy magic to demons were reduced by ninety percent.
I was able to modify the intensity of the healing magic affecting the percentage of the reduction of the effects. If it didn't work, I would decrease the intensity so that the percentage would decrease too.
I gave them time to adapt to it and after ten seconds, they met the certain requirement. They've also evolved into something like me.
Since they weren't humans in the first place, they could only become a Sacred Demon. While Klaus became a Sacred Superior Demon.
At first, their mana expanded. The sevens' mana increased by two meter radius while Klaus' increased by five.
They were also able to evolve their skills by evolving. Classic evolution system, when your race becomes higher, your skill also adapts to the same level as your race.
Klaus' skills evolved into a more powerful version.
Negative Status Resistance became Negative Status Nullification, able to nullify lower level negative status.
Justice to Justice King, able to detect lies with accuracy.
Dark Armor turned into Sacred Dark Amor, an armor both possessing dark and holy attributes.
All his intrinsic skills turned into a sacred one, it didn't really change the effects of them but just made them more refined and accurate.
The sevens' skills had the most evolution.
Afentina evolved her skill [Envy] to [Envious Empress]. It has two subskills: [Body Modification] and [Identity Eater].
Body Modification allows her to change the shape of her own body. Identity Eater allows her to steal the skills and memories of the people she kills.
Lust evolved their skill [Lust] to [Lustful One]. It has two subskills: [Seduction], and [Shapeshifter].
Seduction allows them to seduce everyone they please. Shapeshifter is self-explanatory.
Orfus evolved his skill [Pride] to [Prideful General]. It has three subskills: [Prodigy], [Fast Growth], and [Enhanced Strength].
Prodigy allows him to excel at anything he does, Fast Growth enhances his growth, while Enhanced Strength buffs his strength.
Slein evolved his skill [Sloth] to [Dreambound Sloth]. It has three subskills: [Foresight], [Slumber Field], and [Sleep].
Foresight allows him to see tragedies more accurately. Slumber Field can generate a field where everyone is slowed. Sleep allows him to induce sleep to anyone, even himself.
Ava evolved her skill [Wrath] to [Wrath Incarnate]. It has two subskills: [Catastrophe], and [Controlled Anger].
It just gave her an ability to make her anger at a manageable level. Catastrophe has the ability to converse Ava's rage into raw strength.
Venris evolved his skill [Gluttony] to [Mana Glutton]. It has three subskills: [Elemental Magic Mastery], [Mana Eater], and [Controlled Hunger].
Pretty sure, the names of the skills can explain what each does.
Fara evolved her skill [Greed] to [Greed's Sovereign]. It has five subskills: [Analyst], [Clone], [Clone Telepathy], [Clone Swap], and [Vault].
Wow. She has the most subskills. Truly the greedy one. She can create five to ten clones and communicate with them telepathically or switch places with them. Her clones can also use her analyst skill and vault. I don't know much about Vault but it can store information, that's all I know.
It might be weird that I knew all this stuff about them. But before they evolved, or rather before I made them evolve, I asked them if they were willing to trust me.
They all agreed, and somehow they recognized me as their master.
World's Voice basically validated it.
{A soul connection has been made.}
From there I got all of the sevens' skills but it was more evolved than ever. The seven integrated into one powerful skill called Sinbearer.
The seven skills each acted as a subskill for the supreme skill [Sinbearer].
Greed allows me to analyze anything with accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness allowing me to gain more information than before.
Lust gives me enhanced shapeshifter abilities.
Sloth allows me to conserve energy and turn it into growth, basically when I sleep my body grows.
Pride makes me more adaptable to any negative stuff.
Gluttony allows me to absorb mana.
Envy allows me to steal skills through killing.
Wrath turns my anger into an anti-gravity field making the people in the area be pressured by gravity. I'll never be able to use this one though, I'm someone who never gets angry, I'm too softhearted.
Got the divine feeling again but it was faint. Probably because it wasn't the same as Klaus'.
After the experiment that made them evolved, I did the same for the whole kingdom, flying up to the very sky, able to see the whole kingdom beneath my perspective, casted a kingdom-wide holy magic making every demon, a sacred demon, capable of wielding holy magic as well as be immune to the holy element.
My mind began to falter and it felt like I was forced to sleep and the next thing I knew I was being carried by Klaus and from then on everything went black.
I woke up from my sleep and realized the clock had resetted, Klaus confirmed that I've been asleep for a day but it didn't shock me. Sleeping that long is normal to me, but it never went for that long so it's a new record for me.
Klaus told me what happened. A phenomenon called Mana Exhaustion, it's when someone has exhausted their mana by casting spells that require a large amount of mana. For humans it was deadly, and can lead to death. While for other races, it's not because it's less likely to happen to them due to their natural large mana capacity.
This explained that I fainted after covering the whole kingdom with holy magic. I should probably keep an eye out for mana exhaustion.
Oh? The seven look very different. Their horns are gone, their skin became lighter, like way too light. They can pass off as humans with this appearance, except Ava maybe, she always looked like an angel and her horns were the only thing gone. I wonder if their wings are unique to them or generic... Well. I'd like to find out if an opportunity presents itself.
World's Voice told me that during my rest, the seven have recognized me as their master.
"Do you have a name for the seven of you collectively?" I asked the seven.
"We're usually called The Seven Sins." Fara informed me.
"Ahh... Really? Don't you want a name that suits you for your demeanor? Like... The Sin Council, you'll be called that as a group while individually, you'll be called a Sin General." I proposed to them.
Their faces lit up as soon as I proposed it, I think they liked the names I just suggested.
Their check up on me ended after noticing I was feeling alright. The seven behaved just like before when Klaus was sealed, on edge, fearing the angels might attack us now and make the vision happen.
I wanted to reassure them so I created a thin barrier protecting the kingdom by allowing me to get a notice from World's Voice when an angel's presence is detected.
The mana didn't cost that much because there weren't many modifications made to the barrier.
Klaus wanted to check up on his people so he was not here. I wanted to check my skills in order to create a plan on how to handle the death of the demon king thing.
[Sinbearer]
[Greed] {Advanced and enhanced analysis skill. Two modes: Quick Analysis and Full Analysis.}
[Lust] {An improved shape shifting skill.}
[Sloth] {Growth occurs even when energy is conserved. Can improve mana and strength.}
[Pride] {A perfect adaptation skill.}
[Gluttony] {An ability to absorb mana from other sources.}
[Envy] {Obtain skills of others by killing them.}
[Wrath] {Converts anger to gravitational pressure.}
Morph and Negative Status Adaptation got sacrificed to allow me to integrate a supreme skill. They're redundant anyways so it's like nothing was lost.
Shapeshift and Adaptation. That sounds like a good combination for a plan I just thought of. Alright! I'll brief Klaus and the sin council after they are available.
Just as how the dark element is weak against the holy element, the holy element is also weak against the dark element. The determining factor of who wins? The one who has the stronger element.
I grew fond of Klaus and the seven, I guess race is not a determining factor of someone's evilness or goodness.
With my plan, I'd avoid unnecessary deaths, from the demon's side and the angel's side. This might be a war but casualty is always a no for me.
A part of me is still hoping that they don't wage a war against demons but a part of me wants to so that I can get on with my life because waiting for them will be hard, I cannot wait one hundred years fearing they'll come but that's just me.
And even if they do, I know I am prepared, so come angels. Know that I'll be ready.
