Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Exploring for Information

"Big Sister, what are you suddenly talking about?"

Asher became completely alert, sensing the strangeness of the atmosphere, and subconsciously moved his body to the side.

But Uathach immediately followed closely. The princess of the Land of Shadows now had a dangerous glint in her purple eyes, her gaze fixed on Asher.

"Was what you just said true?"

As she spoke, she tilted her head slightly, a strand of hair slipping down. The smile on her small face remained unchanged, looking playful and cute.

But for some reason, Asher felt a cold sweat break out, and he quickly shook his head.

"Sorry, I was thinking about something just now and didn't pay attention to what Big Sister asked."

"Really, that won't do," Uathach tucked the fallen strand of hair behind her ear and continued,

"If you can think before answering other people's questions, it will be very helpful for your safety."

"Mm... I think so too," Asher nodded vigorously. "Sorry, I'll concentrate next time."

Uathach then sighed.

"During the time Mother is not here, it's better for you to go out less. I always feel like there will be some danger."

"You're the danger, aren't you?" Asher almost blurted out.

But he held back. Saying those words at this time would be simply courting death.

The atmosphere fell silent again.

A gust of night wind mixed with coldness blew over, and dark clouds gradually covered the moonlight. Uathach hugged herself, shivering slightly.

Asher came back to his senses, took off his coat, and draped it over the girl's shoulders.

"Be careful not to catch a cold, Big Sister."

"Thank you." Uathach's eyebrows curved like crescent moons with a sweet smile on her face.

"But you should just take care of yourself. Big Sister will be fine."

"My physical strength is very good now, I won't catch a cold so easily."

Just as Asher said this, another gust of night wind blew past, and he subconsciously shivered.

Uathach observed Asher's reaction through the darkness, her eyes gentle, and gently patted his head.

"Let's go back to sleep. We have to get up early for training tomorrow."

Although Scáthach wasn't here, they couldn't slack off in training no matter what, otherwise she would be disappointed when she returned.

Uathach knew very well that a large part of the reason why Asher trained so hard was that he didn't want to disappoint Scáthach.

After returning to their rooms, Uathach said goodnight to Asher and left.

Although she always liked to tease Asher and sometimes even made bold moves, she knew moderation and occasionally maintained a certain distance from Asher.

Because Uathach knew very well that childhood sweethearts, while being a bond, often turned into tragedy.

Because they were used to each other and knew each other too well, they couldn't become lovers. If Asher finally said to her:

"I've always thought of you as my own Big Sister"...

wouldn't that be a tragedy?

So, an appropriate sense of distance was still needed. Uathach deeply understood this principle. In other words, she had to know how to play the long game and wait for Ash to take the bait himself.

Of course, if one day Asher really said, "I've always thought of you as my own Big Sister," then she would have to resort to some improper means.

If possible, she hoped that day would never come.

---

The next afternoon, taking advantage of Uathach's inattention, Asher secretly left the Land of Shadows and went to the other side of the island to find Artoria.

He had thought it through last night. To find out Morgan's residence, he didn't necessarily need Artoria to take him. With a little inquiry, it shouldn't be difficult to find out.

If he asked Kay or Sir Ector, they would definitely know Morgan's residence.

Of course, Asher didn't plan to reveal that he was going to find Morgan. As long as he casually mentioned Morgan le Fay while chatting with them, there would naturally be a way to follow the clues and find out Morgan's residence.

After all, she was King Uther's daughter, and her residence couldn't be that difficult to find out.

Facts proved that Asher's thinking was correct. After arriving at the small island where Artoria lived, he first helped Kay with some farm work, and then the two chatted.

As soon as Artoria was mentioned, a faint smile appeared on Kay's face, as if he doted on this foster sister very much.

Okay... it seemed like this was also a sister-complex.

When Asher saw Kay's expression, he roughly knew in his heart that this Knight of the Round Table was basically a sister-complex without a doubt.

Oh, rather, it could be said that the Knights of the Round Table were either King-obsessed or twisted King-obsessed.

"Is that so? So she had such an experience before..." Asher listened with great interest as Kay talked endlessly about Artoria's affairs.

In fact, he was indeed very interested. At this moment, he just listened quietly, occasionally asking his own questions, and then continued listening.

This approach easily created a good impression. Through his performance this afternoon, Kay's goodwill towards Asher increased a lot. The slight hostility he had originally felt because "Asher was a man approaching his sister" completely faded away, replaced by a smile.

As long as you like Artoria, we're all family... Kay's current performance had quite this meaning.

"By the way, when I went to the royal city before, I heard that Artoria also has a Big Sister... is that true?"

While the two were chatting happily, Asher suddenly asked.

Kay's smile from just now faded slightly. He looked deeply at Asher and nodded slightly.

"King Uther's daughter, also Lily's Big Sister, Morgan le Fay."

"If you see her, it's best to stay as far away as possible. That woman is very dangerous," Kay then warned again.

A look of fear appeared in his eyes. Most people were very wary of Morgan le Fay and didn't want to get too involved with her.

"I understand," Asher nodded, thinking, If you knew that there were several Knights of the Round Table who were on Big Sister Morgan's side, wouldn't you collapse on the spot?

Although these Knights of the Round Table in Morgan's camp were basically also leaning towards Artoria.

And Morgan wasn't that dangerous, right? Asher thought.

Actually, when Asher had just transmigrated and first met Morgan le Fay, his reaction was similar to Kay's. He was very wary of her, even fearful, but after more than four years of getting along, he didn't think Morgan was that bad at all, and even once suspected if there was something wrong with the historical records... uh, or if there was something wrong with the world he was currently in.

In short, in Asher's eyes, Morgan le Fay wasn't a good person, but she also wasn't someone who could be labeled as evil.

Maybe her personality would change drastically, and it would only start after Artoria became king?

Asher looked at Kay's wary face and couldn't help but think such a thing.

"By the way, since Morgan is so dangerous, she probably doesn't live in Camelot, right? After all, everyone is very wary of her, and King Uther probably wouldn't let her live in the city, would he?"

Kay shook his head lightly.

"It was Morgan's own decision to actively propose leaving Camelot. She moved to another castle a long time ago. The people there showed strong opposition when they learned of her arrival, but it didn't have much effect, and fearing Morgan's retaliation, the matter was dropped."

Asher showed a thoughtful expression and raised his head to ask,

"Which castle?"
