Not everyone can wake up after being stung by a scorpion and stay calm.
But hey… after driving off a cliff once, this didn't feel that weird. So yeah, I kept it together.
Besides a dull sting where I got hit, I felt fine. Time for breakfast.
Ate that same weird fruit again. Damn thing's a miracle — one bite and I'm stuffed.
Did some stretches to keep my body from stiffening up.
Ten pushups, twenty squats... then collapsed like a sack of potatoes.
Jogging to the beach wasn't bad, but the jungle? Feels like it's just waiting to trip you.
I decided to run along the shore — didn't wanna risk tearing my clothes, the last piece of civilization I've got.
Ran for about half an hour, then dove into the ocean, drenched in sweat.
And man... I wish everyone could feel that moment.
Got clean, felt human again. Coconut water from the trees nearby became my morning drink.
Sat on a rock to dry off, then headed out to look for lunch and explore deeper into the forest.
Funny — in my old world, I took time off to escape the chaos and go find peace in nature.
Now? It's like nature said "sure, here's a jungle... with extra danger."
But it's beautiful.
Giant trees, birds, buzzing insects, the vibe of discovering a whole new world...
I'm not in love, but I don't hate it.
Made my way back to where I slept last night. Grabbed a stick and marked a tree with a rock.
Why?
Simple. Don't wanna get lost.
The deeper I went, the denser the trees got. Less sunlight, more shadow.
And then... I saw it.
Something was up ahead.
Animal? Monster? Nope — a freaking dinosaur!
An armored beast with glowing red eyes like it was saying, "Come closer and I'll have you for lunch."
My heart jumped into my throat. I ducked behind a tree and muttered,
"God, don't let this be Jurassic Park... I like being alone, but not in the damn prehistoric era!"
I slowly backed away. If that thing had come at me, I'd have had no chance.
On the way back, I saw something even weirder.
A goat.
But not just any goat — this one was two meters tall, had twisted horns, and glowing yellow eyes.
It looked at me like I was on the menu.
Good thing I still had the sharp stick I made yesterday.
The damn thing charged like a rocket.
Me? I panicked like a rookie, stepped back, tripped on a root, fell — and just held the stick out with both hands.
The base hit the ground, and the goat...
ran itself straight into it.
I just stared for a second, totally frozen.
Couldn't believe it. How did the stick not snap?
I felt this strange power in my hands.
Maybe those weird glowing orbs yesterday weren't just decoration…
Anyway — now I had meat. But I had to move fast. Blood attracts company.
Grabbed a rock, smashed it against another till it broke into a sharp edge, and sliced off one of the goat's legs.
No idea if it was adrenaline or what, but I felt stronger than ever.
Ran back toward the beach.
Thank God for those tree marks — didn't get lost.
When I got there, I cleaned myself and the meat.
Couldn't leave blood on it — bugs here are massive and I didn't want something bigger showing up.
Made a fire using dry grass and rubbing sticks. Took a while, but it worked.
Cooked the leg, and... damn. Even without salt or spices, it was amazing.
If this island has nothing else, at least the fruit and meat slap.
Drank some more coconut water.
And when I lay down to rest…
something weird happened.
I wasn't tired.
Like, at all.
After everything that happened today, that's just… wrong.
Maybe those glowing orbs are changing me?
For a second, I thought,
"Aria… you're not that office guy anymore. But what are you now?"
Decided to build a shelter by the shore tomorrow.
But just as I was drifting off...
I heard something.
A scraping sound — deep in the jungle.
Like something dragging stone across rock.
For a second I thought I was dreaming…
but no.
It was real.
What the hell is this island doing to me?
