On the eve of the year 2076, a game-like fantasy suddenly descended into reality.
Countless perilous towers descended upon the world, accompanied with hordes of monsters. We humans, are considerably known as curious creatures, that trait was why many wondered into those towers.
Inside those towers, countless lives were lost as monsters were filled in those towers. The humans who wondered in, unintentionally helped the monsters in the tower found ways out.
The monsters ended countless lives, the monsters were ridiculously powerful, no modern weapons could work on most of them.
The inability to kill these monster placed humanity in the brink of extinction.
However there were some countries that had people who successfully killed the monsters whilst in the tower. And that revealed something.
The people who killed the monsters whilst inside the towers gained extraordinary power, like the control of water or air. Some could control all four elements.
These people were then given the name "Awakened", and eventually they managed to rescue the world from the clutches of monsters.
From then on, a new order dawned upon the world.
The strong were revered, and survival of the fittest became law.
It was also revealed that any human that manage to kill a monster inside the tower, would be granted abilities of their own, and the higher one ascended through the tower, the stronger the monsters they'd have to fight. And each conquered floor of the tower offered new rewards—more power.
Therefore countless "Awakened" had to continously grind in the tower and grow stronger than others to solidify their positions in the new life of conquest.
In pursuit of greater power and wealth, formidable Awakened(s) delved into various floors of the tower, challenging the monsters inside the floor, and gained rewards every step of the way, marking the beginning of...
The Era of Power.

"Hhhhaaa," An extraordinarily loud sigh filled the classroom.
Faces shifted, the students in the classroom all turned to look at the disrupter, Zyphera Drakonis.
He sat at the back of the classroom, his desk place right at the corner. His head was on the disk, he gave off the energy of someone who was disdained, and was having a losing battle with boredom.
He was tired of his monotonous life...if only he was allowed to enter the Tower.
During this Era of Power, countless rules were instilled upon the world, to keep the human race safe.
One of the rules, was that no one is allowed to enter towers before finishing school, not the usual school but one that teaches you how to survive in the tower.
This only has to last for 2 years, some might consider 2 years as something short but not Zyphera. To Zyphera, time is of essence and 2 years is a lot, one could do many things in 2 years.
*Ring*
The bell that indicated that school was over, resonated across the entire school.
Zyphera wasted no time, in a number of seconds, Zyphera was all exiting his classroom.
He literally ran his way through the crowd, one might think he was an impatient person but in actual fact, he was rushing due to the imaginary suffocation that can with being inside the school yard. Thus he wanted to be outside as soon as possible.
As he stepped outside the school gates, he could finally breathe the refreshing air, his lungs burst with freshness.
With that irritating feeling of suffocating gone, he could take account to his surroundings.
In that moment, he saw a being not meant for this world. A woman with an otherworldly beauty, her orange - hued eyes almost hypnotic.
This woman easily won Zyphera's "most beautiful woman he'd ever seen" award.
Everything of hers was unique—silver hair, orange eyes, and a face too beautiful for this world, her short height would compel most of mankind to protect her.
She seemed to be in similar years to Zyphera, around 19 maybe 20 years old.
Zyphera felt his body move with instinct, step after step, he made his way to the woman.
He gently tapped her shoulder, she turned to face him. In that instance, Zyphera fell into the dawning sun in her eyes.
His mind felt empty, relieved of the hidden burdens of having a mind.
Then he fainted...

Zyphera opened his eyes, the blurriness made it impossible to see, causing him to rub his eyes.
He was on his bed, his vison cleared a bit, he stood and wore his slippers.
His room wasn't that big, it was a studio apartment. He opened the curtains, the morning light awakened the atmosphere in the room.
Lazed from just waking up, he walked slowly into the bathroom, next to the faucet, he opened the tap and splashed his face with water, fully awakening him.
Then he stared into the mirror, that was when he noticed something strange, his eyes were the color of the dawning sun, not the usual dull brown he had gotten used to.
Something strange was going on, the longer he stared into his eyes, the more he felt like questioning his existence.
"What the hell is going on??" he asked himself.
Before he could try to understand the strange circumstance, school came into mind. He needed to go to school, and he was already late.
Quickly prepared himself, and was off to school.

"Pay attention! This is something you can't afford to for..." The teacher was disrupted by Zyphera's late arrival.
The teacher—Aisha Kindle, a beautiful young woman who is also an experienced Awakened that retired due to unknown reasons. She chose to pursue a career in teaching young adults about what to expect in Towers.
Mrs Kindle always had a smile and was friendly towards everyone, even towards Zyphera who would disrupt some if not all of her lessons.
Being friendly to everyone, does not exactly mean that she loves everyone. So it was obvious she disliked Zyphera's character.
Zyphera entered the class, and firstly made his way to Mrs Kindle, to apologize for being late.
Mrs Kindle shifted her focus from the learners, to Zyphera, but something strange happened.
She had looked into Zyphera's eyes and noticed something different about them.
Strangely she couldn't address the change, it felt like she was unable to speak, as though she were mesmerized by his gaze.
She felt all the impure feeling she had for Zyphera, gradually disappear. That feeling of irritation for Zyphera had disappeared, as though she was hypnotized into forgetting all the problems that came with Zyphera.

My eyes were on Mrs Kindle when a ethereal orange screen appeared, bearing a message.

If that screen is accurate, then damn, she's skilled. Why would she retire grinding in the Tower if she has such skills. Even that talent.
"I'm sorry for being late," I said, but her mind seemed to be elsewhere, she might not have even heard me. Wait a minute, her status said it was mid hypnotized, could that be true.
Let me try this, "Mrs Kindle, would you kindly accompany me to the infirmary."
If she isn't hypnotized then she should be well aware that I can go to the medical department on my own, though if she's really hypnotized then she won't really ask anything and simply do as she's told.
"Okay, Class I'll be right back." She said, then followed me.
