A month had passed since the appearance of Savitar and Aria. The world still remembered the events in Dallas with fear, but the media and public opinion had begun to treat them as isolated incidents. Meanwhile, hidden inside their base within the Speed Force, Savitar worked tirelessly.
For weeks, Zero—now Savitar—had been studying how to channel a portion of the Speed Force's energy and make it tangible. His goal: to create humans with special abilities. Finally, after countless experiments and analysis, he succeeded. He had condensed a tiny sample of the energy into liquid form, sealed inside a glowing syringe, lightning pulsing within it.
"Ready... all I need now is someone willing," he muttered, watching the syringe glow under the reddish light of his pocket dimension.
Meanwhile, in the real world, the Umbrella Academy had just saved the planet once again. A radical scientist had nearly caused a nuclear explosion, but the six siblings had intervened successfully. Outside the building, the press crowded in, capturing every image, every word.
Nearby, on the rooftop of a building, Aria and Savitar silently watched the scene. The world cheered for the Academy.
"Perfect for what I need," Savitar said, his eyes focused on a boy who had just jumped the barricade.
It was a kid, around 13 years old. He approached Allison, wide-eyed.
"Excuse me! I'm your number one fan," he said with an innocent smile.
Luther quickly stepped forward, imposing.
"You can't be here. Get back behind the line."
Reginald Hargreeves stepped out of the vehicle and approached, clearly irritated.
"Get behind the barricade," he ordered.
"I was born the same day as you guys! I think I'm like you! I just... don't know what my power is yet. But if you help me, I know I can figure it out."
The boy looked at Hargreeves with hope in his eyes.
"You don't have any powers. And you never will," the old man said coldly, before ordering security to remove him from the scene.
The press and the bystanders laughed. The boy, tears in his eyes, walked away slowly through the city streets.
Savitar and Aria followed from a distance. When he reached a deserted corner, Savitar appeared in front of him in a red blur.
"Hello, Harold," he said.
The boy flinched.
"How do you know my name?"
"Because you were born to be special too. But the world turned its back on you. We won't."
Aria landed beside him with elegance.
"Do you want to show the world they were wrong about you? Do you want real power?"
Harold nodded, rage hidden behind his sadness.
Savitar raised the syringe.
"This will give it to you. All you have to do is accept what you are—one of us. A villain."
Harold hesitated for a second… then extended his arm. Savitar injected the energy. A moment later, the boy's body glowed, vibrated, and his skin began to harden into a dark metallic texture. His eyes lit up with an orange glow. Harold was no longer just a child. He was something else.
"Welcome to chaos," Savitar said.
A few days later, Chaosborn—Harold's new name—made his first appearance by attacking a police station. His strength was superhuman, and his body impenetrable. He thirsted for justice... in his own way.
The Brotherhood of Chaos was no longer just Savitar and Aria. And thanks to a new device developed by Savitar, each member could now teleport directly to their base of operations inside the Speed Force—a place no one else could find.
The world didn't know it yet, but the age of villains had begun.
