Looking at the text in the diary, Uesugi Kazuki was at a loss for words for a moment.
It was like walking past a church, and the old man on the cross suddenly waved and told him that incense was half-price at the temple next door, so he should rush to buy it—a psychedelic feeling.
Turning the page, Uesugi Kazuki felt that everything he had experienced recently made sense.
Because the old man had written in the diary: [This world is actually the world of "Tokyo Wolf." I've already gotten all the endings in this game. How can I lose this wave of dragon riding on their faces?!]
Although he didn't know what "Tokyo Wolf" was, just by the name, he knew it wasn't anything proper.
The next few pages detailed how the original owner navigated between several "big trucks."
Then, he successfully obtained the "keys" to the "big trucks," allowing him to "drive" or have the "big trucks" "tow" him. There were even a few exciting photos.
But halfway through, Uesugi Kazuki suddenly noticed a problem: this guy had already obtained the "keys."
He could have formed an entire fleet of "trucks," so how come after he arrived, not a single "truck" was seen in the "fleet"?
He only had one "truck" that seemed available for a test drive, and after the test drive, he was "knifed."
This wasn't logical!
So, Uesugi Kazuki quickly flipped to the back of the diary.
After reaching the latter half of the diary, Uesugi Kazuki quickly found the answer to this problem.
That is, although the original owner had achieved a perfect ending within the game's plot structure, things changed a bit after the storyline.
Some of the "trucks" in the original "fleet" went to America for further studies after graduating high school.
Other "trucks" had job transfers.
By the time the original owner entered high school, the once massive "fleet" had long since dispersed.
The original owner didn't feel upset about this change.
After all, "driving big trucks" was one thing, but who lives off women as a respectable person? If you don't work hard in high school, you'll regret it in college; if you don't work hard in college, you'll sigh in despair at work.
Who wouldn't want to "fire a big cannon" from the highest building in the city, facing the floor-to-ceiling windows, and damn it all?!
So, after entering high school, the original owner began to study seriously and rarely kept a diary.
The occasional entry would mention that the "old trucks" were still contacting him and sending him gifts.
This enviable content continued until the original owner wrote in the diary: [Holy crap! How can this world also connect to "Tokyo Wolf R" content?! I only played the beginning of that game!]
And then, the rest of the diary was blank.
Looking at the diary in his hands and feeling his still throbbing lower back,
Uesugi Kazuki probably understood what the original owner's end was.
Even the original owner, a "sea king" (a man who dates many women), had crashed and burned. So, for him, a "water ghost" (a much weaker version), wouldn't he be completely doomed?
Just as Uesugi Kazuki held the diary in his hands, there was a soft knock on his bedroom door.
"Kazuki-kun, are you there? I want to talk to you about something."
Hearing Uesugi Riko's voice, Uesugi Kazuki quickly shoved the diary under his pillow, then walked to the door and opened it.
"Is something wrong?"
The moment he opened the door, Uesugi Kazuki saw Uesugi Riko standing there, her head bowed, her long bangs covering her eyes.
Seeing Uesugi Riko in this state, Uesugi Kazuki immediately felt that something was wrong.
So, he instinctively tried to close the door again.
But as Uesugi Kazuki tried to close the door, Uesugi Riko put her left hand on the door, holding it open, preventing Uesugi Kazuki from closing it.
"Kazuki-kun, is there something I've done wrong, or not well enough?"
Uesugi Riko lifted her head, and her parted bangs revealed her empty eyes.
The moment Uesugi Kazuki saw the look in Uesugi Riko's eyes, he knew he was doomed this time.
Because the last time he saw Uesugi Riko with that look, his lower back said goodbye to him.
Perhaps being on the brink of death could awaken one's potential, or perhaps understanding that this world was not normal had broadened his perspective.
In any case, the moment Uesugi Riko displayed that empty gaze, Uesugi Kazuki released his hand from the door handle.
Instead, he tightly hugged Uesugi Riko's soft body and shouted into her ear, "I'm sorry! I fell in love with you the first time I saw you! But you are the woman who is to become my mother! I couldn't control my feelings for you! So I could only find ways to keep my distance from you! I'm sorry!"
After Uesugi Kazuki finished shouting, the world instantly became quiet.
It was almost too quiet. Uesugi Kazuki, holding Uesugi Riko, could even clearly hear their two rapid heartbeats.
Then, the sound of metal hitting the floor broke the eerie silence.
Uesugi Kazuki looked down and saw a kitchen knife lying at Uesugi Riko's feet.
The next second, Uesugi Riko pushed Uesugi Kazuki away and ran towards her own room at the other end of the hallway.
However, after only a few steps, Uesugi Riko returned, covering her face, picked up the kitchen knife that had fallen on the floor.
As if a dog was chasing her, she immediately ran back to her room, slammed the door shut with a "thud!", and then the sound of the lock clicking echoed.
And seeing Uesugi Riko retreat to her room, Uesugi Kazuki also gently closed his own door.
Then, leaning against the door, he let out a long sigh of relief and sat down on the floor.
At this moment, Uesugi Kazuki noticed two new prompts pop up before his eyes:
[Life Achievement Triggered: First Confession.]
[A confession is a declaration of victory, not a bugle call for a charge. Have you learned this?]
[Reward: Intelligence +1]
[Agility +1]
[Uesugi Riko Affection +30]
Adding Intelligence was understandable, but why did this achievement also add Agility?
Although he didn't understand why this achievement would add Agility, seeing the second prompt,
Uesugi Kazuki seemed to understand something.
After the shock of his near-death experience passed, Uesugi Kazuki stood up from the floor.
He walked over to his desk and picked up his backpack, ready to start his homework.
After all, as a student, studying was very important.
But after discovering the truth about the world, Uesugi Kazuki couldn't concentrate on the homework in front of him.
So, Uesugi Kazuki simply pushed his homework aside and opened his computer, preparing to see what the original owner had left behind.
For example, who were all the people in the "fleet."
Since Aoyama High School didn't allow cell phones, Uesugi Kazuki didn't have one. All communication had to rely on sending and receiving emails via computer.
So, if the original owner had left anything, it had to be on this computer.
