Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Beginning of a Tragedy

Soft music echoed through the grand hall, adorned with glittering chandeliers and luxurious gowns. The light refracted through crystal glasses, casting shimmering reflections across every corner.

In a flaming red gown, the girl stood out like fire in the night.

She — the villainess cursed by the original plot — walked toward the innocent heroine under countless judging eyes.

And I — Lin Hua Tu — had just transmigrated into her body five minutes ago.

"Spill the wine! Right on her dress!"A sharp, high-pitched voice rang in my head — the last fragment of the original owner's memory.

I froze. No, I couldn't do this. I knew this scene.

In the original novel, this was the charity gala where the villainess, out of jealousy, poured red wine onto the heroine's white dress — and was promptly humiliated by the male lead, dragged through the mud by the media, and exiled from high society.

If I followed the script… I'd be doomed.

I struggled to regain control of my body, but my legs moved on their own. The wine glass trembled in my hand, the blood-red liquid sloshing dangerously. The hall held its breath.

I bit my lip, forcing my body back a step. Gasps followed. Dozens of eyes turned toward me in surprise.

I took a deep breath. If I didn't break the script now, I wouldn't survive past Chapter Five.

With a smile, I tipped the wine glass — straight into the potted plant beside me.

And I said, calmly but firmly:"Apologies, but this wine is far too cheap to stain anyone's dress."

The silence was deafening.

The heroine — gentle and pure — looked stunned. The guests were speechless.

And then... he arrived.

Footsteps echoed as he strode through the hall. Black tailored suit. Frost in his gaze. Blades in his eyes. Hoai Trach, the coldest male lead I had ever read about.

He looked at me — a flicker of surprise in his gaze — then it vanished, replaced by icy scorn.

"Lin Hua Tu. What are you scheming now?"

I met his eyes, heart pounding.

This was the moment the villainess became his greatest enemy.

But this time… I had a choice.

I smiled softly."I was simply wondering… how easily we judge someone by a few lines of text."

Shocked silence.

No one expected the arrogant villainess to speak with such clarity.

I turned and walked away, leaving the hall behind. The heroine stood frozen. Hoai Trach didn't stop me.

I knew — from this moment on, the story had changed.

And I, the hated villainess, would no longer play by the rules.
