Chapter 1 - chater 1 "The Day the Window Screamed"

Dhaany—Dhaany—Dhaany—

The sound of bullets was tearing the chest of the city.

Somewhere in the distance, the rumble of a tank shook the entire ground.

Yuri was running.

Blood was flowing down his back, there was a bullet wound in his left arm. But his feet did not stop.

An army vehicle was chasing him from behind – soldiers were shouting, some were firing, some were screaming on the radio.

"RPG! Bring the RPG!"

"That boy should not be able to escape!"

But Yuri… was running.

His eyes were getting blurred. His consciousness was faltering.

Then...

A bullet hit the ground near his feet.

He stumbled.

He fell.

And the next moment... everything slowed down.

🕯️ Flashback begins

"Brother, this fruit is so sweet, isn't it?"

Argan was smiling—a small, 8-year-old kid—sitting by the window, eating the red fruit.

Yuri smiled too, broke off a piece and handed it to Argon.

It was sunny outside. For a few minutes, it seemed like there was no war going on in the world.

Then... the window shrieked.

Clink… Fusssss…

The grenade had come.

In through the window—right between them.

Argan's eyes widened with fear. Yuuri, without thinking, pushed him aside and jumped on him himself.

BOOOMM!!!

Smoke… noise… blood… the walls shook.

⏳ Flashback ends

Yuri opened his eyes lying on the ground.

His breathing was broken. But a voice was echoing in his ears—

"Don't cry… just run. This country will no longer be free. They are coming… to destroy everything."

This was the voice of a wounded soldier lying on the ground near Yuri.

Yuri looked at him. He was on the verge of death. Yet… he was staring at Yuri.

"If you want to survive… if you want to make sense of your brother's death…"

"Then run… from this city… from this hell…"

---

Yuri closed his eyes.

Argan's smile appeared.

And when he opened his eyes— there were no tears in them anymore, but fire.

🔚 Chapter Ends With:

> "Run… but not alone."

Yuri woke up— with an injured body, broken bones, but with courage.

His escape was no longer just an escape — it was a mission.

Now the story begins

: Collar of Chains

---

Blood was flowing from his feet.

But Yuri kept running.

He knew that if he stopped, he would die.

But…

Suddenly he stopped.

In front of him… an open field… and in the middle of the field stood a man.

A soldier.

No — he was not an ordinary soldier. Blood was dripping from the tip of his gun, and in front… were dead bodies of people.

Yuri's feet stopped.

His breathing stopped.

The soldier was completely quiet… then suddenly he laughed loudly –

"HAHAHAHA! For those who kill you… death is a gift!"

He laughed again… and shot another innocent man in the head.

A brave man silently followed him from behind –

"SHRAAK!"

He hit the soldier's head with a stone.

But… that was a mistake.

The soldier turned around, and the shotgun hit his chest.

BANG!!!

Blood splattered in the air.

The man's body fell near Yuri's feet.

---

Now the name came up:

"Narayan."

Commander Narayan.

---

Narayan ordered his soldiers –

"Capture the survivors alive."

But how?

Dog leashes were tied around everyone's neck.

As if they were not humans, but animals.

Children, women, old people… everyone was crawling behind him.

---

Yuri's heart trembled.

He saw a woman – with tears in her eyes, but no one was screaming.

Everyone was silent.

They were scared.

---

Anger rose inside Yuri.

His fists clenched.

"This... is wrong..."

But… he could do nothing.

There was no weapon, no plan.

His eyes kept looking at Narayan…

And Narayan…

without caring… took his victims laughing.

---

🧠 Yuri's Thoughts (Narration Style):

> "Today I saw… something worse than death.

Slavery. Humiliation. And silent weeping.

But i dont care because I only survive
