In a quaint café, people gathered around to try the new Café bliss, in that café there is a girl named Elara, Elara was a young girl a quiet and a kind one, calm and composed , her smile is warm and radiant, she has a pitch black hair a puppy eyes, she is average tall and she is slim kinda like a model. She is one of the employees of the popular café ''A SIP OF LOVE''.
Elara worked hard on her own to earn money to graduate from high school. One day, she was working quietly cleaning the tables. as usual, being absent minded thinking about life, and then unexpectedly she felt a hand on her shoulder , she got frightened by the unexpected encounter, she turned around about to throw hands when she realized,
'' Ya! Elara it's me'' A soft but surprised voice said.
'' Yoon-ji you scared me'' Elara complained.
Yoon-ji was Elara's working colleague but also her best friend, they attend the same school, Yoon-ji is very energetic, playful and funny, that's why she is a friend of someone like Elara who is calm. serious and composed.
'' what are you still doing here?, what were you thinking about? your shift was over an hour ago, and i thought you left'' Yoon-ji said.
''Oh, i didn't realize, i was busy here cleaning'' Elara said calmly.
'' Go home now i want to close the shop, Ms. Xiao told me to close it and bring the keys to her house'' Yoon-ji explained Elara nodded.
'' can we go together? i wouldn't want to leave you here, at this hour'' Elara said insisting.
'' ok let me get ready and we should get going'' Yoon-ji said and Elara nodded once again.
Yoon-ji closed the shop and both the girl starts to make their way home. On their way, Yoon-ji decided to chat with Elara, She has been holding a question in her mind for such a long time and been meaning to ask Elara since like forever, in her words.
''Elara?'' Yoon-ji asked nervously.
'' What?'' Elara asked with a smile. But Yoon-ji kept showing her nervousness she is afraid Elara will get mad if she asked the question.
'' What? Yoon-ah?'' she asked with a soothing voice. Yoon-ji gathered the courage to speak, after a big sigh.
'' why have you being skipping school?, you weren't like that before'' Yoon-ji asked calmly demanding for answers.
'' Family issues, but i will come back on Monday , do not worry'' Elara answered softly.
'' But i thought your family is rich, then why are you working at a café?, for a part time job?, i have been confused since day one, i didn't have the gut to ask you'' Yoon-ji said lowering her head from Elara's gaze.
'' I didn't want you to get mad at me'' Yoon-ji said looking down.
'' Yes we're rich, but am not i mean, my dad cut ties with me , not relationship but money i thought that was stupid but they were not joking, i want to make my own money, so that i can graduate from high school'' Elara said and the pain in her voice is audible.
''They hate you that much?, Damn they make me flinch sometimes'' Yoon-ji said clearly disgusted.
'' they don't hate me they want me to learn how to make money,'' Elara said Yoon-ji rolled her eyes in disbelief.
'' but they were the one giving you too much money now they want you to make your own?'' Yoon-ji asked but didn't get the answer she was looking for.
'' do you remember i was a spoiled child, i waste money on any thing and anyone our company almost went bankrupt'' Elara exclaims.
'' i remember that, but i wasn't spoiled it's kindness , you helped the poor, donated money and helped me to get admission, that wasn't fun you're having!, but I'm sorry for asking you the question'' Yoon-ji said clearly sorry.
'' They don't see it as kindness they see it as wasting of money and time, thet see it as useless, that's not for you keep it aside. Don't say sorry, you're my best friend, i can't hide all my secrets forever,'' Elara said convincingly with a smile.
'' i want old Elara back'' Yoon-ji said her voice barely above a whisper.
'' She's already gone'' Elara replied with the same tone as Yoon-ji' s..
After giving the boss the keys, and saying farewell to each other, they both went their separate ways. Elara face down, walking as the rain showered on her and the dark roaring around her. As she kept walking , she spotted a guy, the guy was dressed in all black and it's hard to tell how he looks because it's dark , so Elara speed up, she noticed everywhere she went, it followed her it made her felt uneasy but she kept going, in the rain and dark . But later on as she ran through the slippery roads, she remembered something, something chilling that made her stop at her tracks, Back at the café, when she felt as if someone was watching her, she checked but saw no body, but her guts says someone's, although she could not believe it's the same person or situation , her mind is currently on the person that's following her right now.
'' Who is that? and why is he following me?, i am feeling very uncomfortable'' Elara said in her mind as she speeds up.
She kept running until she couldn't anymore, the rain felt like it was draining all her energy , the worst part is her house is Annoyingly too far from where she is. That's not all , her house is hidden in the corner of a mysterious place where no one dared to go, it was the idea of her father so that anyone who followed them, be it an enemy or a friend will neither see nor attack them that's what her father said. The guy slowly revealed his self, as he moves closer , Elara, he removed his black mask and revealed to be a tall handsome boy with blonde hair looking guilty and sad.
Elara calmly gaze as his face her face turning shock each second she covers her mouth her hands shacking trembling she moves back in dis belief, she gaze at the person in front of her with teary eyes, finally, she softly said with her voice shaking.
'' Denial?!'' Elara said as they stared at each other, tears streams down her cheeks and her hand. Because she is surprised to see Denial , again after so many years, eyes widened in shock. BUT WHY?
''
