Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: First Encounter with Broly — The Pull of the Legendary Bloodline

New Planet Vegeta, located deep in the Southern Galaxy.

Paragus's spaceship, using some kind of advanced alien tech, had somehow made the trip from Earth in just a single day.

Throughout the flight, Paragus spared no effort in flattering Vegeta—fawning to the point of absurdity.

Even Master Roshi couldn't help whispering to Trunks:

"Trunks… this Paragus guy's giving me bad vibes. Be careful."

"Yeah," Trunks nodded, wary.

Meanwhile, Lynx sat quietly in a corner, subtly probing the ever-cheerful Son Gohan for intel.

"So, Gohan, who's stronger—Vegeta or your dad?"

"Hmm… Uncle Vegeta's been wanting a rematch ever since the Cell Games, but Dad's been too busy… so I'm not sure," Gohan tilted his head, thinking.

"I think my dad's probably a little stronger? Even though Uncle Vegeta did beat Cell…"

So… Goku should be stronger than Vegeta.

That gave Lynx pause.

Judging by what he'd seen so far, Vegeta had definitely reached Super Saiyan second grade.

With a base power of 1.5 million, that meant Vegeta could access terrifying power levels—possibly beyond Lynx's current limit.

And Goku might've already achieved Full-Power Super Saiyan, which would put him a step ahead of even that.

But even with all this power, none of them could touch Broly in the original story…

Can I really face an enemy like that… alone?

As the doubt crept in, a familiar voice echoed in Lynx's mind:

Ding! Host's self-doubt detected — triggering Ultimate Choice.

Option 1: Defeat Broly and Paragus using clever tactics before Broly transforms.

Reward: +1,000,000 Battle Power

Option 2: Team up with Goku and the others to take down Broly.

Reward: +3,000,000 Battle Power

Option 3: Defeat Broly alone.

Reward: +5,000,000 Battle Power

A raw combat power mission?

The choice was obvious.

"I choose Option 3," Lynx said firmly.

Tactically, Option 1 was the easiest—he'd already considered it.

He could take out Paragus, seize the control device that subdued Broly, and make sure Goku never met Broly. Then wait a few days until the comet hit New Planet Vegeta and let fate do the rest. No real battle needed.

Option 2 resembled the original film—Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, and Piccolo joining forces in a grueling showdown to finally beat Broly. With Lynx added, the odds would be even better.

But neither option suited him.

Lynx wasn't just any Saiyan.

He was a King—one who would one day challenge even the gods. If he backed down now… what right would he have to face them later?

Besides, he still had a trump card.

Ding! Selection confirmed. Please complete the mission as soon as possible.

"Hold on," Lynx asked the system. "To clarify—do I need to fight Broly from start to finish alone? What if someone else fights him before me?"

No. The system replied. Broly's past fights don't matter. As long as you defeat him without assistance, the mission will count as successful.

That settled it.

Shortly after, the spaceship landed.

The planet's surface was still under development. Towers rose from rubble, surrounded by little green aliens hauling materials to build a city.

But Lynx knew the truth—this was all a front. An elaborate set piece, crafted by Paragus to deceive Vegeta.

Upon landing, Paragus led the group to a palace in the distance.

A ragtag army of space thugs, gathered from across the galaxy, had been ordered to chant Vegeta's name and cheer his arrival.

And that's when Lynx saw him.

Broly.

The Broly of this world.

Compared to the Broly from Lynx's timeline, this one looked… frail. Thin. His face had a listless, worn-out expression, like someone half-asleep.

But Lynx knew better.

Under that calm mask hid a monster.

Unlike his own timeline's Broly—who had some trace of innocence—this Broly was pure, unfiltered violence.

"Prince Vegeta," Paragus said with a grin, "this is my son, Broly. I hope you'll keep an eye on him."

Vegeta gave Broly a dismissive glance.

His energy didn't even match Gohan's. Not worth noting.

But Lynx checked his system.

Base power: 1.6 million. Broly's normal power already surpassed both Lynx and Vegeta.

The difference? His ki was being suppressed by the energy ring clamped around his head. Without it, he'd be a beast.

"Hello, I'm Broly," the young man greeted politely.

Vegeta nodded once and moved to continue into the palace.

Just then, a soldier ran in:

"Report! The Legendary Super Saiyan has been spotted on Planet Mamacato!"

"What?!" Vegeta spun around. "We're leaving now. I want to meet this so-called 'legend' myself. Broly, you're coming with me!"

Vegeta and Broly turned to leave.

Trunks stepped forward, trying to reason with his father—

"Don't do this, Dad—"

"If you're scared, stay here," Vegeta snapped, cutting him off.

With Broly in tow, Vegeta exited the palace.

But as they passed by, Broly suddenly stopped.

"Broly?" Paragus frowned.

Broly didn't answer.

He stared—straight at Lynx.

Lynx immediately sensed it.

He feels it too...

There was something connecting them—an invisible pull between their bodies.

The Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline.

Two warriors bearing the same rare, ancient power, drawn to one another like magnets.

It was more than shared ancestry—this was a clash of destiny.

The bloodline of true Saiyan royalty. A power said to surface only once in a thousand years.

And there could only be one King.

Instinctively, Broly's gaze sharpened—hostile.

Lynx didn't flinch, staring back with cold resolve.

A sudden silence fell over the area.

An invisible pressure filled the air as their energies began to react… the calm before a storm.
