Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 – The Class That Shouldn't Exist

Yuto landed in a shallow crater.

The sky above glitched — stuttering between gray static and an empty black void.

He stood up slowly.

No players.

No NPCs.

No starter town.

Just... silence.

Then a high-pitched tone rang through his head.

> [Error: Class assignment failed.]

[Searching for alternatives...]

A glowing panel appeared in front of him — pure white, flickering like it didn't belong here.

---

> Choose Your Class:

_

Yuto blinked.

Finally — this was the screen everyone posted screenshots of.

He started typing:

> Warrior

[INVALID: Does not match profile.]

> Mage

[INVALID: Magical compatibility rejected.]

> Rogue

[INVALID: Lacking attributes.]

> Assassin

[INVALID: Instability detected.]

> Paladin

[INVALID: Morality conflict.]

Each time he typed, the screen glitched harder.

Lines of red code began running vertically.

> "…What the hell do you want me to be, then?"

He tried typing:

> Glitchblade

Chaos Monk

Dark Soul

None worked.

> [All Class Templates Rejected.]

[Rebooting...]

---

The screen shattered like glass.

Yuto stumbled backward as the world dimmed.

Then a new interface formed — black with green, terminal-like text.

It typed by itself:

> "You are an unrecognized variable."

"You were not meant to enter this world."

"Would you like the system to assign a path for you?"

Yuto hesitated.

> "Assign a path…?"

He didn't even click.

The system answered for him.

> [Acknowledged.]

---

Everything turned white.

Then came red chains of code — wrapping his avatar, locking parts of his stat window.

His screen turned blood-red with a new warning.

---

> CLASS: SEALED

SKILLS: SEALED

EXP TYPE: RESTRICTED

Your existence is unstable. Manual guidance protocol initiated.

> [MISSION 001: Eliminate a Level 50+ Player]

Reward: +10 random Stat Point

Penalty: Increased pain sync, psychological load

Time limit: 24:00:00

The next Mission will be updated after this will end.

---

> "Wait, what?!"

> "I never agreed to that!"

The system ignored him.

His class tab blinked blankly:

---

> Class: UNKNOWN

Status: Restricted

Skill Tree: Locked

Identity Tag: Unscannable

---

Yuto was kicked back into a crowded zone outside a city.

He collapsed face-first in the dirt.

Someone immediately laughed.

> "Bro—what happened to your UI?"

"No class, no gear, no aura? LMAO."

"Must be one of those broken accounts."

A few players poked fun.

One even tossed him a rotten apple.

> "Here you go, beggar build."

Yuto didn't speak.

His screen still flickered with the mission.

He looked toward the towering gate of the city.

Dozens of high-level players passed through, swords on their backs, magic rippling from their gear.

He clenched his fists.

> "Fine..."

> "If I can't choose who I am, then I'll become what they fear."

---

Far beyond, buried deep in the system code, a forgotten string activated:

> [The Nihilos Seed: Fragment Located.]

[Synching with Subject Reven: 1.2%]

---

To be continued.
