The sun rose. The house stayed quiet.
Eleni woke first, stretched like a cat, and looked over at Noah curled under the blankets with one arm still loosely around her waist.
Soft smile. Slight bedhead. The most peaceful he'd looked since he entered the Costa estate.
And then—
KNOCK KNOCK.
Lorenzo's voice through the door: "Eleni… did you hear anything weird last night?"
Noah's eyes shot open.
Eleni didn't even flinch.
"Nope," she called out. "Slept great."
Pause. Silence.
"…Cool," Lorenzo said.
Then footsteps walking away.
Noah looked at her, stunned. "You just lied to your twin."
Eleni shrugged. "He's lied to me like 4,000 times. It's balance."
