Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Chat Group Reveals & Gut-Punching Realizations

As the commander of the Great Wall Defense Force, he was naturally a powerful warrior, always calm under pressure and possessing an imposing presence.

His life had never been ordinary.

Even when the others in the [Chat Group] immediately switched tones and began calling Carl "Boss" after witnessing his resurrection feat, he alone had remained silent.

Until now.

Because after hearing Tsunade's full account

That Carl had brought someone back from the dead through time travel,

He changed his stance on the spot.

He had to.

Someone like Carl… was not someone you could afford to offend.

After all, he couldn't bring the dead back.

Let alone rewrite the entire timeline.

Carl, sensing his name being mentioned, entered the [Chat Group].

Instantly, the message feed exploded.

Upon noticing Tsunade's messages showing concern for him, he responded politely:

[GodAmongMen]: Arrived. No need to worry.

[Senju Princess]: I'm glad you're safe, Carl-kun.

[Heavenblade King]: The boss has logged in!

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: Carl-senpai, your points just passed 100,000! You could buy all kinds of OP stuff now!

[GodAmongMen]: Most items in the shop aren't useful.

[GodAmongMen]: And the few that are interesting? A hundred thousand's not even close.

Buying items from the system shop?

Powerful abilities, legendary ninjutsu, giant mechas?

To Carl, none of that really mattered.

If he ran into a real threat, he could end it with a few punches.

And if the enemy was strong enough to withstand him, no item in the shop would make a difference anyway.

[Commander of the Wall Guard]: ...

[Senju Princess]: As expected of Carl-kun. Truly amazing!

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: 666! (Super cool!)

[Heavenblade King]: If I had 100k points, I'd buy the Mangekyo Sharingan for sure!

[Commander of the Wall Guard]: Personally, I think Haki from One Piece is solid. I'd go for Armament Haki if I could.

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: If it were me, I'd just convert the points into cash!

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: Wait... 1 point = 10,000 yen. So 100,000 points... that's insane. I'd never run out of money!

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: Maybe I'd convert part of it and use the rest to buy an Iron Man suit. Hehehe… just imagine it flying through an ordinary city street!

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: I wonder what kind of face Rikka would make if she saw me in that suit...

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: I can't wait to see it...

[GodAmongMen]: Wake up. You're not even asleep, and you're already dreaming.

[GodAmongMen]: Daily check-ins only give single-digit points. You'd need to log in for over 10,000 days to hit that mark.

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: ...Ouch. That hurts, boss.

[Heavenblade King]: SadFace.jpg

[Commander of the Wall Guard]: Carl-senpai's right. Just checking in won't get you anywhere near 100k. It's practically impossible.

Silence.

Carl's words had struck a nerve.

Just moments earlier, the group had been fantasizing about what they'd buy with enough points.

Now?

Reality came crashing down.

No one said a word for a while.

Until finally,

[Senju Princess]: Um… sorry, but, who's Rikka?

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: My little sister. Classic Chunibyo, always dreaming up dark lords and shadow wars.

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: Ah! I wasn't talking about you, Carl-senpai! Please don't get the wrong idea! @GodAmongMen

Even if she didn't know whether Carl was truly divine, his username was "GodAmongMen"…

And after hearing Tsunade's story, everything he had done felt… godlike.

To someone like her, just a regular girl, he really was a god among mortals.

Worried she might've offended him, she quickly clarified her words.

Carl, reading her messages, immediately realized who she was.

"Rikka"… that name came from Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions.

Which meant, this girl in the chat was none other than Toka Takanashi.

An elegant, mature big sister. Head chef of a high-end restaurant. Her cooking? Top-tier.

[GodAmongMen]: I get it. Relax.

[Senju Princess]: Ohhh, so that's why your username is that! @WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister

[Senju Princess]: What a coincidence! I also have a younger brother, Nawaki. He's brave and full of potential.

[WhatDoIDoWithMyChunibyoSister]: That's so sweet! My sister…

And just like that, Tsunade and Toka struck up a lively chat.

Soon, Keisha joined in.

From his observation window, Carl noticed, this Keisha wasn't the Angel Queen he knew.

She was just a teenage girl. Not even twenty.

Younger than Toka.

No wonder her personality was so different.

She was still just a kid.

The three girls chatted nonstop, quickly growing comfortable with each other.

Before long, they were calling each other "sis" and exchanging real names like lifelong friends.

Though Carl had said earlier he didn't need anything from the shop…

He still opened it for a peek.

He had 100,000 points, after all. No harm browsing.

After a quick scroll, he sighed.

Sure, there were a lot of things he could afford…

But most were useless to someone of his level.

Mangekyo Sharingan? Advanced Haki?

Even a transformation wand that turned you into Ultraman Tiga wouldn't raise his combat power.

And he couldn't even afford that wand, it was well over 100k.

After thinking it over, Carl casually spent a few hundred points on something simple:

A Superman suit.

Yep, that Superman suit, red cape, blue tights, the iconic 'S' on the chest.

Honestly, Carl wasn't a fan of the color scheme.

But it was all the store had.

The rest of the points?

He decided to save them for later.

There were still things in the shop that interested him…

Infinity Stones.

The Phoenix Force.

The Heart of the Universe.

But just looking at the string of zeroes on those price tags gave him a migraine.

The [Chat Group] gradually quieted down after the wave of excitement.

Each world, after all, moved on its own timeline.

Some were in daylight. Others, midnight.

When Carl had received the Silver Superman template in his world, it had been night.

But by the time he arrived in the Naruto world, it was already evening.

Time didn't flow the same across dimensions.

Each member had their own life to live.

Carl stepped back into the shower.

Afterward, he poured himself a drink, and turned in for the night.

In the Naruto World…

In a large house in Konoha, four people had gathered, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Orochimaru, and Nawaki.

Orochimaru sat calmly, explaining the earlier events.

"That area really was a trap. If Nawaki had charged in, there's no way he would've made it back alive."

Jiraiya nodded, still rattled. "It was too close. That guy… thank goodness he showed up."

Only now did Nawaki realize,

That stranger who had appeared so suddenly,

Had actually saved his life.

A wave of guilt washed over him.

He had a bright and straightforward personality.

So when Carl grabbed him mid-run, he instinctively lashed out, assuming he was an enemy.

Who could've imagined… that man had come to save him?
