Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 The Quiet Before the Storm

It had been five years since Kael, Veyra, Orion, Lyra, and Zevak first arrived on Earth.

After their chaotic beginnings escaping their broken home universes, surviving the cosmic invasion that had taken their families, and forging an unlikely alliance they had sought refuge on this blue planet.

Over time, they had learned to blend in among the humans. Each had taken on a human identity, adapting to the culture of Earth while quietly continuing their training. Their purpose was unchanged: to protect this world from the hidden cosmic forces that still threatened to rise.

High in the mountains of the Himalayas, Kael and Veyra stood atop a windswept plateau. The cold air whipped around them, but neither seemed to notice. The two sparred in a blur of movement—Kael's swift, sharp strikes countered by Veyra's flowing, graceful defense.

Each blow was precise, calculated—not a true fight, but a honing of skill. They had done this many times before. Kael's quiet focus had grown since they first met—Veyra, once unsure of him, now moved with confidence by his side.

"You're getting stronger," Veyra said between breaths, eyes narrowing playfully. "But you're still too predictable."

Kael smirked faintly. "Then I'll surprise you next time."

They exchanged another flurry of blows, the ground cracking beneath their feet with the force of their sparring.

Beneath the city of Tokyo, deep underground, Zevak sat in his hidden lab—a sanctum of glowing screens, cosmic artifacts, and intricate tech of his own design.

His mind raced faster than any machine, piecing together patterns and signals from the edges of known space.

Suddenly, a warning ping echoed across his monitors: a massive cosmic disturbance. A rift… tearing open near Earth's orbit.

He leaned forward, eyes narrowing.

"This is no ordinary breach…" Zevak whispered. "Something… engineered…"

Above the city, Orion and Lyra patrolled the skies, gliding effortlessly through the clouds.

"Do you feel that?" Lyra asked, her senses tingling.

"Yes," Orion replied, gaze sharp. "The dimensional barrier… it's weakening."

Without warning, the air above them shimmered with unnatural light. A massive tear began to form—space itself ripping apart.

From the depths of the rift, a dark, towering figure emerged: Hammerstrike.

Hammerstrike was an indomitable war machine—his towering frame clad in crimson armor reinforced with brutal, industrial plating. His glowing mechanical eyes pulsed with raw energy, and his every step shook the very ground beneath him.

He was no mindless invader. His movements were deliberate, precise—a walking force of engineered destruction. The air hummed around his gauntlets, heavy with stored power.

Without hesitation, Hammerstrike began his march toward the city—his target unknown, his purpose clear: devastation.

Zevak's voice crackled across the team's comms.

"Everyone prepare. We have an incoming threat. Codename: Hammerstrike."

Kael, Veyra, Orion, and Lyra quickly regrouped.

"It's time," Kael said, his eyes sharp with determination.

The team soared into the sky, heading toward the rift. Their days of peace were over. The first true test of their strength on Earth… had begun.
