"Glad you are back to us again, Zen. Do you feel any pain?" My father asked and I rolled my eyes away from him.
He wasn't the only one who came visiting today, my husband and her mistress were here too. Standing at each others side.
"She will be discharged today. Since her husband insisted, I think she's healthy enough to live and be taken care of at his home" The clueless nurse said
I could now clearly open my eyes widely and move my hands but the numbness in my feet won't let me stand.
If it did, I'd have ran even before they came.
"Zen! Oh my God! How pleasant it is to have you back to me. You are not alone anymore. It's already cruel enouhht that death tried to separate us right on our wedding day but you my wife are a fighter"
My husband cries rushing to my side with so much emotions.
I looked at the far end of the room and ofcourse the camera was set again, taking note of every of his actions.
"I'm fine now. You can stop worrying" I replied exactly how he would have wanted just to make him go away.
He went for my lips to kiss but I just won't be that stupid for I threw my face to the other side.
"Cut! Y'all can leave now" Axel said walking away from me.
The whole crew existed. Like a whole lot of people were there covering me and I wonder how many times he did Vlogged with his unconscious wife.
"Father you can leave too"
My father's face wrinkled. There was no way he was expecting this.
"My daughter just woke up for the first time in three months and you want me to leave? Axel, before she became your wife, she's been my daughter for more than two decades"
"Daddy, Axel and I are here and we will take care of Zen. She's my sister after all "
"She's your sister doesn't mean you love her enough to take care of her "
"Dad! Zendaya almost died. Why on earth would I still hold on to any grudges towards her? Blood is thicker than water, you always say that"
All those while I was hoping he won't believe them and that he could see the lies in her word.
" Fine, I guess she won't want me here either after all I did to her" he lowered his gaze avoiding making any eye contact with me.
I wanted to tell him to stay, that apart from forcing me to marry this devil, I don't remember any bad he had done.
But my throat was so dry, I probably haven't had any water pass through my mouth since.
Instead of calling out to mhim, my voice said exactly what it needed " water"
He exited without a second thought.
"Zendaya, you are able to move your hands, the dispenser isn't very far from you or you assume you can order me around now?"
"No one is ordering around Bianca, just get her water. Never mind, I will get it myself "
Axel walked to the dispenser not far from my bed and fetched a glass. He then lifted my head to his arm and waited until I gulped all the content down before he brought my head back to the pillow.
"Everyone's happy now right? Let's go home honey "

I looked at him, my eyes burning with the kind of exhaustion that went deeper than the body. It was tired of him pretending, tired of his performance.
Axel's fingers brushed a strand of hair from my face like he was some doting husband,
"Can't I stay here until I'm fully recover?" I echoed, my voice rasping.
He smiled, but there was no warmth in it. "No.. You've been gone long enough. I think I might go crazy if I don't wake up right beside you for another day"
I didn't answer. What was there to say? Every word I spoke would be dissected later, and turned into captions.
Bianca stepped closer, a faux concern written all over her face. "Don't worry, Zen. Everything's been taken care of. Your room's just the way you like it. We even brought in lavender candles, you used to love those, remember?"
I glared at her. "We? You mean you and my husband? "
She blinked.
The fake concern dropped for a split seconds before she forced a soft laugh. "You're still funny. Glad to know your sense of humor survived the coma."
"I'm not joking," I said plainly.
Axel's jaw clenched, and he shot Bianca a look that silenced her. He turned back to me and smiled again, but this one didn't reach his eyes. "You're just tired. You'll feel better once we're home, I promise."
He leaned down, pressing a kiss to my forehead before I could move away. My body flinched involuntarily, but I had no strength to stop him.
The door creaked open again and a nurse wheeled in a chair. "Here, sir. We had to get the best wheelchair available in the country, that's why I arrived a little late"
"It's fine, I will carry her to the car, just take the wheel chair to the car truck" Axel said
He helped lift me gently and dropped me on the passenger side of his SUV.
He adjusted the blanket around my legs and whispered close to my ear as he fastened the seatbelt.
"Play your part, Zen. Just a little longer."
I stared straight ahead, biting my tongue until I could taste the metallic edge of blood. Because I'd play his game for now.
But only until I remembered how to walk again.
And then, the performance would end. On my terms.
"Look Zen, I don't know what you are thinking or what you have heard while we thought you were asleep but not to worry. The medication you have been taking this past few days will make you forget exactly what I want you to and believe exactly what I want you to. That way, no body gets hurt " Axel smirked happily.
