The death of the vampire came as a shock to the guild members who were in the loby . The receptionist has always been the a deterrent against trouble makers in the guild. Even much more powerful mages respected her .
Slowly the guilds mages stood up, it was clear that they were gearing up for a fight.
From the visual headcount, they would be facing at least twenty mages with unknown abilities and they were not weak in any way.
But fear and uncertainty had already set in and the red guild mages were being somewhat hesitant to attack the group so a last warning was given.
" Surrender yourselves and experience peace, resist and you will know death." Hanzo said in a loud voice to the men and women who were ready for a fight.
The reality of the matter was that the team wasn't taking prisoners .
One of the brave souls among the red guilds mages stepped up to uplift the spirits of his comrades.
" There is no need to hold back we outnumber them four to one."
" This makes our job much more easier, doesn't it . " Mason said to Hanzo who has already drew his katana.
Without warning, Mason threw a grenade towards the Red Lion mages. Before anyone could comprehend what happened the grenade exploded sending fragments of hot metal through the room killing at least five people. The rest who were still dazed by the explosion were quickly shot down .
" So this is who they sent to stop our enterprise." A voice rang out from the inhouse balcony.
Looking up Mason could see three men and a woman standing on the balcony and by the look of things it was clear that it was the woman was the guilds boss.
Mason was trying to wrap his mind around the fact that a woman old enough to be a mother or even a grandma was capable of selling children into slavery and worse selling them as sex slaves .
Now the objective was to capture, collect information and execute and they had to be quick as they were already behind schedule.
" Good afternoon gentlemen and Lady, we are from the anti slavery taskforce and we have come for the names of your associates and perhaps even the names of your competition."
" Or what, child?" The woman asked, clearly she was apathetic to the fact that she had been discovered.
She was clearly very powerful, Mason could even feel the cold aura of her power emanating across the room.
He suddenly felt a sense of dread spread throughout his body as an ice spear struck him straight in the chest striking what could have been a fatal blow.
But even as his suit absorbed the impact, the force still knocked him into a wall causing him to cough up blood.
Mason wiped his mouth and then spoke to his teammates,
" We have gotten their answers, forget information we can get that from other places but their lives must end today."
Immediately a brawl started in the halls of the red Lion guild.
Mason had dumped his weapons and was now focused on hand to hand combat with matriarch of the Red Lion guild.
This was a woman who had spent decades and many resources to make herself stronger but Mason had no fear in his heart.
He did not underestimate her but she needed to die .
He rushed towards the matriarch ( whom I would refer to as the red lady) trying to deliver a running knee to her face but it was dodged and countered with an ice dagger to the face .
Mason could see the smile on the red lady's face freeze when the ice dagger didn't make contact and had stopped few inches from his face .
Mason knew this woman was a titan so he wasted no time and grabbed her by the neck and activating the energy draining glove.
Suddenly the red lady felt her magic being drained. She couldn't do anything despite all her strength. It was as if her throat had been gripped by massive tentacles draining away all her magic which was gone within seconds.
At that moment she had expected that Mason would let her go at the moment but no , Mason held on now draining her life force. Every single but if energy that was stored in her body went into the suit and when the suit was at its capacity, it went into Mason's body filling it to the brim and by the time he was done , the red lady had become a husky if skin and bones.
But there was now a new problem, Mason had all this excess energy coarsing through his body with no where to dump it and it was likely that he was going to explode if nothing was done about it . This was the only downside of the energy absorbtion, one could easily get carried away and forget to release excess energy in the heat of battle only to end up dead from excess energy burning through you .
Mason immediately went outside, there was no longer any enemies for him to fight so he gathered the excess magic in his left hand and shot a huge beam of lightning upwards into the sky.
This caused the clouds in the atmosphere to become supercharged, sending streaks of scattered lightning downward and for three minutes a lightning storm plagued Munich.
" If we are done here call the audit team , I would like to leave this place as soon as possible." Mason said to his teammates who came out after hearing the sound of thunder outside.
