Chapter 10 - THE VANISHING

Incheon — Day 1

The Black Fangs were restless. Word of Ivan's death had already spread by morning, and though they denied involvement to outsiders, the tension in their ranks was suffocating.

By nightfall, their lieutenant Park Dae-Seok was found dead in his car, parked on a desolate road near the harbor.

Single bullet through the temple.

Window cracked open.

The car's radio still playing softly.

Ji-Yeon's men arrived fifteen minutes later after an anonymous tip.

Too late.

The killer was gone.

No witnesses.

No prints.

No cameras.

Just a corpse with a coin placed neatly on the dashboard.

Day 2 — Safehouse Silence

The Black Fangs' main safehouse on Jungang Street missed a scheduled check-in.

Ji-Yeon's squad moved in aggressively, armed to the teeth.

Inside, they found horror.

Seven dead.

Blood sprayed across the walls.

A card table still mid-game, cards scattered, one man's hand still clutching a cigarette stub burned down to ash.

One of Ji-Yeon's men, Song-Min, gagged at the smell.

"Jesus… they didn't even have time to reach for their guns."

No sign of the attacker.

No message.

Just silence.

Day 3 — Exploding Shadows

A truck carrying weapons for the gang's next shipment exploded outside the Incheon docks.

Ji-Yeon's scouts reached the scene ten minutes after the blast.

Three charred bodies.

The weapons shipment turned to slag.

"Whoever did this… they knew the route, the timing," growled Captain Seo, Ji-Yeon's logistics head.

His men searched for tracks, for witnesses.

Nothing.

The killer was a ghost.

Day 3 — Apartment Execution

Their operations manager, Min-Ho, was gunned down in his apartment stairwell.

Single clean shot to the heart.

By the time Ji-Yeon's men arrived, summoned by a neighbor's call, the body was still warm.

Elevator camera disabled.

Security footage wiped.

No sign of forced entry.

"He's inside the ranks," someone whispered.

Ji-Yeon's fury crackled through the phone.

"Find him," she snarled.

Day 4 — River Graves

Three more members disappeared while transporting cash to a fallback location.

An hour later, their SUV was pulled from the river by Ji-Yeon's retrieval team.

All three shot dead, execution-style.

The cash missing.

No tire tracks.

No trace.

Day 5 — The Final Blow

The Black Fangs' boss, Kang Woo-Sik, tried to flee the country by nightfall. His heavily guarded car never reached the airport.

Ji-Yeon's men found the wreckage burning in a ravine at dawn.

The bodies of two of his guards were recovered.

Kang's body wasn't.

Ji-Yeon's team scoured the hills, dogs, drones — nothing.

The whole gang — wiped out in less than a week.

Ji-Yeon's Rage and Fear

Back in Busan, Ji-Yeon sat in her office, staring at a map of gang territories.

Two pins had fallen.

Red Scarves. Gone.

Black Fangs. Gone.

And she hadn't ordered either.

Her lieutenants sat in silence, watching the boss they had never seen shaken before.

"I don't care what it takes," she spat.

"Find out who's doing this. Tear this city apart if you have to."

But deep inside, a cold knot twisted in her gut.

A killer who left no trace.

No message.

No survivors.

Wasn't just after her empire.

He was hunting her.
