Kyle's POV
"Huh.... where am I?" I wondered. "The last thing I remember is....oh yeah I died" I said as the memory of my death played in my head.
After letting my situation sink in, I looked around. I was in a pure white space that stretched for only God knows how long.
"Is this the after life?" I thought "it's kinda boring though" I said with as I stretched my arms, at least I tried to. But then I realized I didn't have arms or legs or even a torso, I was just floating around in this space.
'its kinda weird but also kinda fun' I thought as I floated around the space.
After a few minutes, or what felt like a few minutes I stopped playing around and decided to figure out what was going on.
"If this isn't heaven it's probably hell or–" I talked to myself until I was interrupted by a man's voice.
"I assure you it's none of the two" he said.i turned around to see a ball of light in thr shape of a man, he didn't have a face but he could talk, which was kinda creepy.
"Are suppose to be an angel or something" I asked after much thought. "If you are could you explain what's going on here?" I continued trying my best to look him in the face.
"Of course.." he said ".. you have said before I am indeed an angel and I'm here to guide you through your reincarnation" he said as he moved closer making harder for me to keep eye contact.
"Huh.. reincarnation? so that stuff is real" I mutterd , but I guess he still heard me.
"It sure is,and you have been chosen by the wheel of reincarnation to receive a second chance at life" the angel said in grandiose tone probably expecting a reaction from me which he didn't receive, instead what followed was a very awkward silence.
"..... anyway" he continued, as he summoned three white balls out of this air "you get three wishes so make the most of it champ".
He just floated there observing me as I was deep in thought, so many things happened today I was having a hard time sorting things out, but after a few minutes or so I steeled my resolve. I mean it's not everyday u this kind of chance to start afresh, so after a bit more thinking I decided what to wish for.
"I've decided what to wish for!" I announced.
"eh that was fast...., I thought you'd take at least a day" he surprised by my words which made me wonder how long other people usually take.
"... but I'd like to ask some questions " I said. just to receive a look of surprise from him.
"um...am I not allowed to?" I asked in a small voice.
"You are but...I think your the first person who has ever actually asked" he replied "so what would you like to know"
I cleared my non-existent throat and asked "can I keep my memories" . Although I didn't finish college I was pretty confident about my knowledge, and there was no way I was going to throw that away.
"...is that all" he asked confused "I guess you can most people do keep their memories when they get reborn, but that means you cannot be reborn as a baby " he said
I want curious why, but not curious enough to ask him ".. okay then.. for my first with I want a I want a house but more importantly it has to be far away from human civilization".
In my last life hated interacting with people every day, so I decided it's best if was away from them completely.
"Just imagine the house and I'll use my powers to create it" he said,as he stretched out his hand over one of the white balls, and as I pictured the house it slowly faded away.
Not wanting to waste more time I said "... for my second wish I want the ability to gain the ability of any entity I consume".
For some reason I felt like I was going to be reincarnated in a fantasy world, so I decided that if that is the case I need an ability to help me get stronger overtime.
Another one of the balls floated towards me and entered my 'body'.
".. for my last wish I wish for a system" saying the last word in a whispered tone which probably didn't make a difference to him as the last ball of light floated towards me and melded with my soul.
Satisfied with my self I grinned inwardly.
After a moment of silence I asked "...soooo,is that it" ,"yes it would seem so" he answered floating forward and touching me on my 'body'.
Soon after I started to lose consciousness, he gave me what felt like a smile, I couldn't really see his face. "Good luck to all of you" he said.
"huh...all of us what's that supposed to me–" I tried to ask him why he had said that but my consciousness had already faded away.

The sun rose early in the morning bathing a cabin style room in it's golden light as it enters through the windows.
In a bed at the left corner of the room, a man with brown hair and average facial features, at least that's what he told himself.
"..yawn~" Kyle got up from the bed releasing a long yawn. 'I guess that wasn't a dream cause this is definitely not my room' he thought to himself looking around at the cabin style room.
He got up from the bed, walking over to a large mirror near the foot of the bed.
"Don't I look younger" he wondered as he stared at himself in the mirror "maybe it's because it's a new body" he mutterd playing with his cheeks.
After a few minutes of self examination he chalked his new appearance to "reincarnation stuff" and walked out the room into a living area there was a dinning table with 5 chairs around it and a potted plant on the table.
He walked past the dining table to a door on the other side of the room, but not before noticing two books on the table, one of them was green with brown stitches around the corners.
The other book was brown, it had a leathery texture similar to the first one but it was a bit thicker than the first one.
He decided to come back to the them later as he walked towards the door that led into a huge room, which after some examination Kyle reached the conclusion that it was a kitchen.
"Damn... isn't this better than my old kitchen" he said in disbelief, as reminisces about his old kitchen, he let out a small tear of joy .
"It... it's beautiful " he said as he walked around the kitchen examining it. There was a metallic sink with a focet that had running water , the stove looked like a typical gas stove but there was no way for gas to get out, after turning the knob a flame appeared all most immediately.
"It's..... magic?" He guessed. The cabinets were stocked with spice "no food huh..?"
He thought to himself finally decided to leave the kitchen.
He walked to the table, taking a sit as he picked up the green book "World Geography." He said reading the symbols on the cover of the book, he wondered why he could understand the strange symbols he had never seen before but he just chalked it up to "reincarnation stuff".
He opened the book and a small folded piece of paper fell out, spreading it out he realized that it was a map, scanning it closely he saw an arrow pointing to the center of an area which by knowledge of maps was a clear depiction of a forest.
The arrow said "you are here", which probably ment where his house was. "..well I did wish to be far away from human civilization so it's not that surprising " .
"The Great forest of Kyre" he said reading the name written near the drawing of the forest. He opened the green book scrolling through the pages until he found the page about the forest.
"Although little is know about what lurks in this forest,it is said to be the origin point of all the world's monsters" he started reading through the book "adventurer's are to kill monsters at the outter and middle ring, begin unable to go further in side because of the extremely high density of 'negative mana', which increases as it gets closer to the center..... " he gained a serious look on his face as he continued.
"..... when negative mana enters the body it clashes with other spiritual energy's causing severe headaches,nausea, seizures, hemorrhaging and respiratory and or cardiac failure, it has even been said that S-rank adventurer's can only remain in the middle belt for 2-3 days " Kyle stopped reading and put his right hand on his left breast to see if he felt weird.
"I feel fine...I guess" he said after examining his body thoroughly, "maybe this body is immune" he thought (it wasn't).
After making sure he was fine he continued reading "...the forest is primarily home to dragon, but this is only speculation as no has actually seen on since they are said to leave in the center of the forest, it is also home to an assortment of plants and wildlife unique to the forest the forest which also grow stronger the closer they are to center of the forest" Kyle stopped reading and closed the book glancing at the other book.
"Monster Compendium....sigh, I bet this one has even more depressing facts" decideding not to further increase his worries, he got up and walked outside.
As he got outside he smiled awkwardly, as he saw the seee of trees which stopped a few meters away from a fence which seemed to circle the house "well that's concerning ~....."
