Spirit Hunter:
A Spirit Hunter is a highly trained individual, groomed by both the military and the kingdom's academies to combat demon beasts, spirit beasts, and monsters. These hunters are elite fighters who use their abilities to protect the realm.
Hunter Ranks:
Spirit Hunter ranks are determined by the individual's achievements, contributions to the kingdom's magical advancements (such as creating self-made spells or legacies), and the strength of their core. Their rank also reflects their aid in various kingdom matters like handling sicknesses, plagues, and missions.
These ranks are as follows:
Low, Mid, High E
Low, Mid, High D
Low, Mid, High C
Low, Mid, High B
Low, Mid, High A
S Rank
World Class
(Note: A hunter's rank in the academy is often lower than their official rank once they become an active spirit hunter. For example, a student ranked S in the academy would officially be ranked as a high B.)
Spirit Beasts:
Spirit beasts are natural animals that have undergone a transformation through a surge and survived, evolving into beings with special abilities. Unlike other races, spirit beasts are not limited to a single element. They can be born from previous spirit beasts or from a pure spiritual energy clot that forms a core.
Spirit beast strength follows the same rank system as hunters. However, they are naturally stronger. For example, two mid-to-high B-ranked hunters, heavily armored, might struggle to defeat a low-to-mid A-ranked spirit beast. Spirit beasts, however, cannot manifest a core ability.
Demon Beasts:
Demon beasts are similar to spirit beasts but are born from clots of negative spiritual energy or the corruption of a spirit core. They are driven to kill and are the primary targets for hunters. While their strength is slightly weaker than that of spirit beasts, demon beasts breed quickly, and if left unchecked, they can cause rifts in the fabric of reality.
Rifts:
Rifts are tears in space caused by imbalances in spiritual energy, usually from demon beasts. These rifts open portals to the Beast Glades, allowing hordes of spirit and demon beasts to flood into populated areas. Rifts require a large group of high-ranked hunters to be dealt with.
Dungeons:
Dungeons are locations such as caves, ruins, and mountains, often overtaken by spirit beasts or monsters. They are rich in rare artifacts, weapons, and treasures, making them highly sought after by hunters. However, the existence of dungeons allows monsters and demon beasts to build numbers before breaking out and raiding villages or cities, which is why they must be dealt with swiftly.
Runes:
Runes are the written language of magic, functioning similarly to chants. They are primarily used in magic circles, particularly for crafting armors. These runes act as circuits that allow energy to flow smoothly without issue.
Hexes:
Hexes are high-grade runes that connect to the info-sphere, enabling the storage of spells, items, and more. They are useful for creating traps, enhancements, or performing small tasks like collecting dirt to be cleaned.

Spiritual Energy:
Spiritual energy is the fundamental force that makes up the world and the souls within it. It can be manipulated and comes in two forms: pure and corrupted. Corrupted energy is negative spiritual energy that leaks from someone's core due to negative emotions and can be toxic to most life forms. Pure spiritual energy is positive energy that leaks from a core during positive emotions. Both types of energy are vital for maintaining balance in the world.
Spiritual energy can be manipulated in various ways, such as drawing energy from one's core to empower the surface of their skin, creating small energy projectiles, or applying it to objects.
Spiritual Convergence:
Spiritual convergence refers to the act of layering one's elemental energy onto themselves or others to enhance speed, durability, or other physical attributes.
Spirit Signatures:
Spirit signatures represent a person's spiritual element mimicking the flow of a natural element. While these signatures do not manifest the element outside of the body, they allow the person to interact with it on a personal level. For multi-element use, a spirit crystal is required to imbue spiritual energy and enable the manipulation of more than one element.
Core Ability (Gaia's First Blessing):
A core ability is the manifestation of one's will, created using the energy in their core. These abilities are often born in moments of extreme danger and are unique to each individual. Core abilities can manifest in many forms depending on the user's needs. They are incredibly versatile and can be inherited.
Elemental Ability (Gaia's Second Blessing):
Elemental abilities are born from one's being and are drawn from the environment without taking it into the user's core. These abilities are a reflection of the individual, shaped by their personality and fighting style. An elemental ability is tied to a specific element and cannot be changed.
Cores:
A core is the soul of an individual, and if overused, it can shatter. The core undergoes surges as it increases in grade, enabling the user to utilize more abilities and experience spiritual awakenings. The grades are as follows:
Black (Dormant)
Dark Gray
Gray
Light Gray
Dirty White
White
Pure White
Silver
Platinum
Spiritual Surge:
A Spiritual Surge is not a technique or blessing but a biological and metaphysical transformation. It is a cataclysmic event in which the soul core shatters and reforms, forcibly elevating the user's spiritual grade and their compatibility with the world's energy. The process is painful and violent, often leading to death. Those who survive may be far stronger than before.
