I sprinted across the street, being late for school, I knew I was cutting it close with the time.
Luckily for me, those things like getting hit but truck-kun didn't happen to me but instead of a truck, it was a loss of sensation below my foot that cause my heart to pulse.
Looking down, I saw a gaping hole of darkness, seemingly an endless void had suddenly appeared below me and swallowed me whole as gravity had dropped me into it.
I couldn't help but panic as my body's temperature dropped and my heart started pumping rapidly in fear.
The blood coursing through my veins and the muscles of my body quivered and eventually my mind went blank and I lost my consciousness as my body started to disintegrate.

I found myself staring at the sun while lying down on the ground.
I slowly rose from the ground in hopes of everything just being a dream but the truth was, nothing around me looked familiar and the atmosphere of the place felt extremely different from home.
I started to walk around the grass field looking for any direction to head in. No matter how far I walked or how far I could see, it was an endless view of grass.
I continued to walk around, took a break here and there to contemplate my situation, and struggled internally.
it seemed that I might die on this grassy field.
The thoughts in my head swirled about, what am I doing in this place? Where was this place? No food? No structures? What am I going to do?
As I collapsed on the ground lying at my back, I noticed something forming in the air, seemingly shifting and spiraling into itself.
While I was looking at it, it seemed to grow larger and the distortion in the air became more apparent to me.
Soon, it formed an oval and solidified into the air and slowly grew to a stall and looked like a black oval in the sky.
I couldn't help but grow curious and walked towards it. I looked to the side but noticed that it was a flat shape in the air.
One thing in my mind surfaced as I looked at it.
Is this a portal?
As I looked at it in both fear and wonder, someone had appeared out of it.
Startled, I quickly stepped away from the portal like oval and distanced myself from it.
What had appeared looked both familiar and strangely not.
To describe it, it was like a sketch people drew to create anime characters
The thing is, it was a moving sketch in a 3D format.
If it wasn't shocking enough, the sketch began to move about and then spotted me in the distance and ran towards me.
The fear of the unknown quickly took over me and I ran away from it, though I was slower, I couldn't help but run.
I tumbled over a patch of grass and fell face down onto the ground. Skid marks appeared on both my face and knees as I slid quite the distance.
The sketch stopped a short distance away after I had sadly tumbled and sprawled out flat on the ground.
I had expected the sketch like creature to attack me but instead of doing so, it just started talking.
"Umm, you okay?"
"No..."
I wished it had talked sooner so I didn't have to run away and embarrass myself.
Flipping over to my back, I looked at it while lying down and soon the sketch began to lie down beside me. We both looked towards the bright sun that hadn't moved ever since I've arrived here.
I had no idea how much time had elapsed nor had any idea where I was.
Silence prevailed as me and the sketch-like creature laid down not speaking to each other.
Slowly, the sketch began speaking to me once more.
"So, you done playing around?"
"...?"
I tried to twist my head towards the direction of the sketch but soon, everything had shattered.
It felt like the entire world had cracked and pieces of the sky and ground started falling through the void.
No sooner, I began to fall and watched the grassy field collapse into darkness.
It was then that I woke up.
