Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: Appears Directly in the Universe! How Did You Do It?

At that moment, Liu Peiqiang was transmitting a global broadcast from the space station.

Because of this, not only could Liu Peiqiang hear the mysterious voice speaking to him, but every high-level authority on Earth, as well as members of the planetary rescue teams, could also hear it through the emergency communication channel.

At first, everyone was puzzled. Who was Liu Peiqiang talking to?

But when they heard the calm, otherworldly voice belonging to the being known as Beerus, all of them were left completely dumbfounded.

Did this stranger just say he had two methods to pull the Earth out of Jupiter's gravitational field?

It sounded so simple when he said it—but everyone knew the truth.

They had tried everything. Every ounce of humanity's combined effort, all their fuel, energy, and knowledge, had been poured into escaping Jupiter's grasp. And yet, they failed.

How could this... person—this cat-like creature—say such a thing so casually?

Even Liu Peiqiang, who was speaking with Beerus face to face, stood there in stunned silence.

"T-Two methods?" Liu Peiqiang repeated, blinking in disbelief as he looked at the strange purple creature. "Did you just say... two ways?"

"Yes, both effective," Beerus replied calmly, standing tall with his arms behind his back. His expression was relaxed, as though he were discussing something as mundane as making tea.

"May I ask," Liu Peiqiang continued hesitantly, "what... exactly are these two methods?"

Beerus smiled faintly.

"It's simple," he said. "The first method is to pull the Earth out of Jupiter's gravitational field using divine energy. The second method... is even simpler: destroy Jupiter."

The entire command center on Earth went silent.

Every person who heard those words stared at their screens in disbelief.

Destroy Jupiter? Did he even understand what he was saying?

Beerus had spoken with such nonchalance, as if he were talking about swatting a fly or moving a pebble.

But to everyone else on Earth, these so-called "solutions" were impossible—outright fantasies.

Both methods, in theory, could indeed work.

But that's all they were—theories. No one had the technology or power to pull Earth out of Jupiter's immense gravity, and destroying Jupiter? That was beyond absurd.

They had already tried detonating Jupiter once—with every available nuclear device. The attempt failed miserably.

And yet, this stranger claimed that he could do it with ease?

Liu Peiqiang, still processing the sheer absurdity of the moment, forced himself to speak.

"Mr. Cat—uh, I mean, Beerus. The second method you mentioned... we already tried it. We attempted to detonate Jupiter. It didn't work."

Beerus gave a light shrug. "Which is why you called for help."

He stepped forward, his golden eyes meeting Liu Peiqiang's. "Now, stop wasting time. The Earth is continuing to fall deeper into Jupiter's gravity. Which method do you want me to use?"

To Beerus, destroying Jupiter was an easy task. As the God of Destruction, he could obliterate entire planets with a flick of his finger.

But this mission wasn't about flexing his power—it was about earning a five-star rating from the employer.

And that meant following orders.

He looked at Liu Peiqiang patiently, waiting for the human to make his choice.

If the employer was satisfied, then Beerus would be satisfied. That meant a job well done, a five-star rating, and progress toward a higher rank in Jack's mission system.

Everyone wins.

Liu Peiqiang stood frozen for a moment. Then, with a deep breath, he made his decision.

"If... if you truly have the power to do both," he said slowly, "then I want to go with the first method. Please... just pull the Earth out of Jupiter's gravity."

There was no hesitation in his voice. The second method—destroying Jupiter—was a desperate strategy they had only used because there was no other option.

But if there was a way to avoid destroying a planet within their solar system, a way to preserve Jupiter—then he would gladly take it.

Even though Jupiter's long-term future was bleak due to the eventual expansion of the sun, Liu Peiqiang still didn't want to be the one responsible for wiping it out.

"Understood," Beerus replied with a small nod. "No surprises there. A human wouldn't want to carry the burden of planetary destruction."

Meanwhile, down on Earth, tension hung thick in the air. The gravitational pull of Jupiter continued to increase. The Earth's trajectory was no longer stable—it was spiraling inward toward the gas giant's crushing embrace.

Many believed they were already doomed.

Citizens, scientists, and commanders alike watched the sky with despair. Some sat in silence. Some whispered prayers.

But those who had heard Liu Peiqiang's conversation with Beerus now held onto a sliver of hope.

The situation was already beyond recovery. If there was even a 1-in-a-million chance that this being could save them, then they had nothing left to lose.

Some were skeptical. Most were frightened.

But deep inside, every person was desperately clinging to hope.

Even if that hope came in the form of a purple cat-like creature with god-like power.

Back aboard the space station...

Beerus turned to Liu Peiqiang.

"I need to exit the station to begin," he said.

Liu Peiqiang's eyes widened. "Wait, you mean... go outside?"

"Yes. Into space."

"But... without a suit? That's suicide!"

Beerus didn't answer. Instead, he looked toward the thick glass panel of the docking bay.

Now, technically, Beerus could have blasted through the glass and left the station immediately—but that would've exposed Liu Peiqiang to the vacuum of space and killed him instantly.

And that, of course, would lead to a bad review.

So Beerus politely asked Liu Peiqiang to show him the proper exit.

Liu Peiqiang, confused and worried, quickly unlocked the hatch and opened the airlock, guiding Beerus to the launch platform.

Then, he stepped back and watched what happened next with eyes full of disbelief.

Without wearing any space suit, without using any protective gear, Beerus calmly walked into the airlock. The outer door opened...

And just like that—he stepped directly into the vacuum of space.

Liu Peiqiang's jaw dropped.

> "Th-this... How is this possible?!"

He rushed to the observation window and stared at the now-floating form of Beerus, calmly hovering in orbit, arms crossed, tail lazily swaying in the zero-gravity environment.

No suit. No oxygen. No protection. Nothing.

Yet he was completely fine.

He was floating just outside the station, completely unbothered by the vacuum of space, the radiation, the pressure—or lack thereof.

"How... how did you do that?" Liu Peiqiang muttered to himself, trying to comprehend what he had just witnessed.

Was this being even real?

---

Back in the mission group chat...

Jack: "@Beerus, the live broadcast feed is active. Everyone's watching. Perform well, and you'll get a five-star rating easily."

Goku: "Whoa! Beerus-sama just stepped into space like it's nothing!"

Vegeta: "Tch... ridiculous. That's the power of a God of Destruction for you."

Krillin: "That was insane! No air, no pressure—he didn't even flinch!"

Whis: "@Everyone, you're witnessing the divine body at work. Beerus doesn't need to breathe like mortals."

Goku: "Man... now I want a divine body too."

Jack: "@Beerus, just remember: gentle movements, steady pace. You don't need to cause a cosmic explosion unless absolutely necessary."

Beerus: "Understood, Jack. I've got this."

---

In the vacuum of space, Beerus raised one hand, golden energy crackling around him.

From the Earth's orbit, people could see the shift in space itself—the stars around him seemed to ripple.

His divine energy expanded outward, forming a vast shield around the Earth like a glowing dome.

The pull of Jupiter began to weaken.

---

On Earth…

Hope turned into awe.

For the first time in this crisis, people stopped screaming. They stopped running. They looked to the sky—and saw the shimmering barrier surrounding the Earth.

The gravitational shift was real. Sensors began showing results.

Earth was stabilizing.

Liu Peiqiang, eyes still locked on the floating form of Beerus, whispered to himself again.

> "He... he's really doing it."
