There was a girl named Emily. She was 18 and one of the most popular girls at school. As she walked through the crowded hallway, her boyfriend suddenly appeared, gently grabbing her wrist.
"What's my princess doing on prom day?" he asked with a playful smile.
Emily turned around slowly and replied, "Sorry... I'm not going to prom today."
His smile faded. "Wait—what? Why?" he asked, clearly shocked.
Emily sighed. "My stupid parents are making me babysit my little brother. They don't even care that it's my prom night."
Before he could say anything else, the bell rang loudly. He shrugged, turned away, and muttered under his breath, "Whatever. I'll just ask someone else."
Emily stood frozen, unable to believe what she had just heard. A single tear rolled down her cheek as her heart sank. Without saying a word, she turned and ran out of class, heading straight to the bathroom.
She tried to compose herself at the mirror, wiping her tears and taking deep breaths—until she suddenly heard a strange noise coming from the janitor's shaft.
Curious and unsettled, she stepped closer to investigate. As she slowly opened the metal door, she found nothing inside. It was dark and silent.
Then—before she could react—a man lunged out of the shadows and covered her mouth. She tried to scream, to fight, to run... but it was no use. Everything went black as she lost consciousness.
He dragged her away from the school... far, far away.
